I’m rereading Amortentia by OlivieBlake and the Drunk History of the First Voldemort War is pure comedic genius but I need to share an important thought inspired by McGonogall’s comment about the DADA curse being an actual logistical nightmare: does the DADA class have a set curriculum? Did each teacher just come in and do whatever they felt like with no regard to what previous or future teachers would do? How much knowledge did the poor students miss out on? Are there times when graduates would apply to jobs and when their employers ask how they don’t know [some basic thing], they just have to answer “because the DADA teachers changed every year and nobody cared to establish guidelines on what we should know, that’s why”? I find myself very curious about what students actually learn at Hogwarts now
Not a lot outside of potions as far as I could ever tell
