#honestly i think d&d just like. didnt really get how to write incest and wrote a narrative about incest that basically made incest the same #thing as being gay. in the way people talk about it and the way it fits into society and the way they had jaime try to be 'normal' and then #go back to his lover and die like some hayes code era gay man #and in the books the incest is about identity under an oppressive gender binary that manifests in the most toxic way bc they have no tools #of understanding it. which could so easily be sooooosooo bad but then ISNT bc redemption comes along with brienne and another way of living #outside of the gender binary
