biggest small change they made in the show was changing ‘jaime lannister sends his regards’ to ‘the lannisters send their regards’ which simultaneously changes nothing (because they don’t do lady stoneheart) and the entire meaning of the line. the lannisters were involved in the red wedding the line is just true now and it’s still cruel but the specific pointed cruelty of the original line was that catelyn died thinking that it was her fault, that she’d been tricked into an oath with the most notorious oathbreaker in the world in hope of saving her daughters and it killed her son. bolton knows she released jaime against robb’s wishes he knows the implication that jaime then arranged for her and robb’s deaths is the single most horrific idea he could give her in her dying moments

Fact is oghren loved branka in the way y’all can only put in fanfic & wattpad kidnapped by one direction stories. Oghren loved his paragon so much that he drove his entire house into the dust just for a CHANCE to fight for her. 2 entire years he spent banging on the doors of the assembly/palace demanding she not be abandoned. Of course it drove him to drinking and raging and drinking some more, he was taught that paragons are living GODS (pretty much) and was contending with the cruel, shattering reality that it’s been reduced to just face and politics. Genuinely curious and not trying to be rude, but how did you get to your initial pronounciation? Like, where do you see the "Tay" coming from? The "tte" grouping?

Also, if you're willing to share: is English your first language? Either way, what kind of accent do you speak with (French, New Yorker, Boston, Canadian, etc.)

Super curious how people get to these kinds of conclusions.

I'm from the middle of the East Coast, in the city they used to call Chocolate (Atlanta has that crown now). I grew up around three(?) "Devonte"'s and an "Ashante".

Those two are pronounced...De-VAUGHN-TAE and Ah-SHAUN-TAE. So, I saw "Miette" and my head said that cat's name is definitely My-Tae!

In my head Miette was Russian not bc that name looks Russian at all or my pronunciation would even be correct in Russian but because I always pictured her as a Russian long haired cat and read “you kick miette” in a thick Russian accent. And now you’re all telling me she’s French
