GRACEFUL WATERS by Nenad Spasojevic Via Flickr: How often do you see it? I don’t go there very often but it’s always fun to go back. Buckingham Fountain, located in Grant Park, Chicago, is a grand and iconic landmark. This expansive Beaux-Arts-style fountain, constructed in 1927, is one of the largest in the world. At its center is a magnificent pink granite and bronze fountain adorned with four impressive seahorse sculptures symbolizing the states bordering Lake Michigan. The fountain's water shoots up to 150 feet in the air, creating a mesmerizing display. With its meticulously choreographed water shows accompanied by music and lights, Buckingham Fountain is a must-see attraction during the summer months. Set against the backdrop of the Chicago skyline, this picturesque plaza offers breathtaking views and serves as a focal point for various events and celebrations in the city. What are your thoughts on it?

SHADES OF THE LAGOON par Nenad Spasojevic Via Flickr : Storm chasing, anyone? Well I was hoping for one that evening and while everything was looking good on the internet, just looking trough my window I was doubtful. I opted to go out anyway and on my way to this location the rain started, rainbow unfolded in front of me and I was no where near the position where I wanted to be! Frustrating! By the time I reached my destination everything was starting to look more promising. I stayed and shot all the way from sunset trough the night and on the way I met a very nice local kayaker who was kind enough to pose for my foreground. I still blended the moments in time here but I chose to go with the blue hour shot as my main frame just so I can play with this subdued color pallet and set the right mood for this frame. What do you think?

DAWNSCAPES by Nenad Spasojevic Via Flickr: TGIF! Right? Going back to my images from Iowa. Love how at dawn, the city streets come alive with a gentle radiance. Soft morning light bathes the urban landscape, illuminating the Capitol building. As the city awakens, a sense of renewal always fills the air. What do you think?

THE MAGNIFICENT 12 par Nenad Spasojevic Via Flickr : Was anyone shooting cityscapes recently? I’m on the roll lately and for this shot I’m moving to Chicago’s Navy Pier area to capture the iconic 12 high-rises from a different perspective. The night before I captured this frame I was out with one of the new friends I met at “Out of Chicago” photography group and due to the circumstances we were late to catch the sunset that evening. That night ended up being great but I was hoping that I will be able to come back again the next day and capture what I really wanted. After I got there I knew the exact location for my setup. The idea was to capture the cityscape at sunset, blue hour and the night time so I can blend those different moments in time and get something a little more unique. Time blend benefits are ability to extend the dynamic range, and extract better color and detail while digitally blending your exposures. What do you think?
