The group consists of Ian Richard Devaney (lead vocals, guitar, synthesizer, percussion), Aidan Noell (synthesizer, backing vocals), and Michael Sue-Poi (bass guitar). Alex MacKay of Cutouts was the touring bassist during the band's 2022 tour. Nation of Language play a sort of alternative indie electro pop like Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have done in the past, being extremely catchy, harmonic and always on the cutting edge.
