DAYS characters and hugging

Tsukushi: Rarely hugs people on his own unless you ask him to, but gladly receives them. Very soft and very warm. On his way to becoming hug champion once he gets older and stronger.

Kazama: Tackle-hugger. Has probably knocked someone over before. Hugs no-touchy people just to mess with them. Ranges between playful and affectionately cuddly depending on whether or not you’re Tsukushi.

Mizuki: Bear hugs. Undisputed best hugger on the team and possibly in the entire high school soccer world. Excels at group-hugging several people at once, especially underclassmen. Prone to back pats.

Usui: Looks gentler than Mizuki, but do not be fooled; sometimes his hugs have a distinctly threatening feel to them. Otherwise very capable of sweet, gentle mom-hugs.

Kimishita: Look, don’t try. Just don’t, unless you want an elbow in the gut or a knee where the sun don’t shine. Exceptions may apply if you’re his dad or someone he otherwise likes or respects too much to protest.

Ooshiba: The complete opposite. Clingy. Globs on and refuses to let go like a six-foot koala. Complains when you try to shove him off. Only goes for hugs if he trusts you enough though.

Haibara: Easily underestimated because of his height, but shockingly strong. Can and will pick you up even if you’re taller than him. Can also very much crush your ribcage.

Inohara: The team’s second hug champion after Mizuki. Has the height advantage, but is more careful and doesn’t squish people like Mizuki does. Likes to just let you lean against him and put a hand on your back.

Ubukata: Unless you’re a girl, don’t bother. Not a fan of affection in general, but boys in particular are banned from touching her. Exceptions possible for Hoshina and maybe Tsukushi if they asked very nicely.

Indou: Sees himself as Mizuki’s rival for hug champion. Actually gives pretty good hugs, but can’t defeat Mizuki by a long shot. Tends to go overboard and crush the air out of people’s lungs.

Narukami: Will probably agree to hug you, but there’s a good chance he’ll also try to crush your ribcage for the funsies. Approach at your own risk. Post-victory jump-tackles are generally harmless though.

Hoshina: Generally too polite to hug people and gets awkward when others hug him. Would still offer a gentle hug to comfort a loved one, after asking politely of course.

Kaidou: Joins Kazama in the No-Respect-For-Personal-Space Squad. Will probably surprise-tackle you or throw an arm around your shoulders. Will probably also mess up your hair.

Aiba: The third in that squad. More prone to one-armed side hugs than Kaidou, but also more prone to getting all up in your face for the hell of it. Also prone to snaking his arms around your waist from behind and startling you.

Nakazawa: Not interested in hugs, unless you’re Junko, in which case he’ll desperately cling to you while begging you not to leave.

so there are 2 OP by Nagi this season, Just Because!’s over and over were created by Kitagawa Katsutoshi and you can hear the Oregairu vibe (Kitagawa also did that) and for Kino no Tabi’s here and there you can feel the Nagi no Asukara vibe (a bit), made by the same guy who made the songs for Ray’s lull & ebb and flow, Nakazawa Tomoyuki.

but the most similar vibe must be nagi’s Vidro Moyo from Ano Natsu de Matteru.

And to complete the series of updates, here is yet another one~! Yeah, no, I haven’t given up on this fic yet, I swear X’D This time on Aimless, Hopeless, Fearless: A lot of considering. Kiichi considers Kimishita’s feelings, Nakazawa and Usui consider the next captain and vice-captain, and Kimishita considers how to proceed. And all of them eventually come to a decision... which you might be able to guess, but I won’t tell you here!

Summary: Kimishita doesn’t know where he went wrong, if he shouldn’t have confessed his feelings to Mizuki, or if he shouldn’t even have fallen for him in the first place. Either way now it’s too late, and he finds himself stuck in a relationship with a well-meaning friend who doesn’t love him back, but at least he has Kiichi to pick up the shards.
