Hollow Coves Release Fantastic New 'Nothing To Lose' Album

Brisbane folk duo 'Hollow Coves' create beautiful atmospheric folk music that certianly raises the hair's on the back of your neck, new Lp 'Nothing To Lose' is a mourish testament to their songwriting craft and is sonically fantastic, a real pleasure to discover.

Capturing the blue-sky ideologies and open sense of adventure that courses through their new album, new single “See You Soon” is a masterclass in their spacious acoustic songcraft. Creating a pin-drop aura with chiming guitars and those glistening Gold Coast harmonies that Matt Carins and Ryan Henderson call their own, this latest single from the childhood friends is a testament to the unbreakable bonds and unforgettable memories we make in life. As they explain: “So you have made a new best friend somewhere in the world and you’ve shared so many great memories with them. Your time together comes to an end and you go your separate ways. Life gets busy and your communication together gets more and more distant. Eventually, you forget to ever contact them or call them but you always have moments in your life that remind you of them or the memories you shared together. This song is all about this feeling and trying to encourage the listener to reconnect with those people. Just send them a message or give them a call and see where they’re at. His voice gives me goosebumps. Over and over again. At the moment I’m probably not emotionally stable enough to listen to “Lust And Learn” as I would dissolve into tears. I’m just a little scared here. Vanaf vandaag tot 6 juni kan elke Maastrichtenaar een idee of project indienen voor Burgerbegroting Maastricht. Voor deze ideeën en projecten hebben Gemeente Maastricht en Provincie Limburg 300.000 euro beschikbaar gesteld. Inwoners bepalen zelf de Burgerbegroting Inwoners bepalen zelf over de besteding van het geld. Tijdens 2 rondes en 6 events kozen inwoners samen 5 thema's en verdeelden ze het geld over de gekozen thema's. Projecten moeten passen binnen een van deze thema's en moet het toegekende budget ten goede komen aan de inwoners van Maastricht. Indienen van een idee of project kan via de website www.burgerbegrotingmaastricht.nl of tijdens vier inloopmomenten op diverse plekken in de stad. 5 thema's en budget De vijf thema's van de begroting Maastricht zijn: Vergroenen van parken en straten. Michael Nau’s career has snaked from the surreal and symbolically rich dream folk of Page France to the honest, vulnerable sing-song-along Americana of Cotton Jones. While a pop sensibility has always permeated his music, Nau has taken it even further in his solo work. This Friday, you can hear it for yourself when Nau releases his new album, Michael Nau & The Mighty Thread, through Full Time Hobby. Nau’s voice, with its mellow, expressive tone, is a constant delight, and as past recorded glories reveal, he is certainly no songwriting slouch. But with Michael Nau & The Mighty Thread, the vox and sounds seem to have hit on a flawless fit with his current band, The Mighty Thread, making for the fullest-sounding Nau yet.
