Stuffed Mushrooms

Stuffed mushrooms are a satisfying appetizer or side dish. Here’s a simple recipe for filled mushrooms:

Ingredients:

20-24 large button mushrooms

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 onion, finely chopped

Half of cup breadcrumbs

1/four cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to flavor

Optional: 1/four cup chopped cooked bacon or sausage (for introduced flavor)

Optional: 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Clean the mushrooms with a moist material or paper towel to take away any dirt. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them. Set the mushroom caps aside.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, and sauté till the onions come to be translucent, approximately 3-four minutes.

Add the chopped mushroom stems to the skillet and prepare dinner for an additional three mins until they launch their moisture.

Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, and optionally cooked bacon or sausage. Mix everything well till it paperwork a stuffing consistency.

Take every mushroom cap and fill it generously with the organized stuffing aggregate, urgent it lightly to ensure it holds together.

Place the filled mushrooms on the organized baking sheet. If favored, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of every crammed mushroom.

Bake inside the preheated oven for 18-20 mins or till the mushrooms are soft and the stuffing is golden brown on top.

Once carried out, eliminate from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes earlier than serving.

Garnish with additional chopped parsley if preferred and serve heat.

These filled mushrooms are versatile, so feel unfastened to alter the ingredients in step with your possibilities. Enjoy your delicious homemade stuffed mushrooms!
