i seriously can't tell if i'm falling out of love with art or if i'm just sad?

it feels like. nothing is meaningful. because it isn't! and i've always known this, but i've also known creating something is more fun than creating nothing. that hasn't been the case for me lately, nothing has felt fun. my main artistic outlets feel impossible, and i feel left without the meaning i once had in my life.

don't expect much from me. maybe i'm just in a funk. maybe i'll draw only a few times a month. maybe i'll get more into music again. maybe i'll finally write something longer than 2 pages. or maybe i'll just play gran turismo 4 and disappear off the face of the internet.

change is hard, and i know life has its phases. this is likely transitional and the road to something new for me: a new art/music style, new hobbies, maybe.

i'm not saying i'm leaving, i'm not saying i'm never going to post ever again. i'm just whining. maybe nothing will change!

one of the worst parts of streaming services is trying to figure out which fucking one has the show you want to watch. because there's loads of outdated articles listing where to watch stuff and google indexes Hulu/Disney+ listings for movies they don't have on there anymore and turns out it's not anywhere but digital purchase (which you don't truly own) or rental and like fuck it i'll just sail the seven seas i guess!!

(if anyone knows an actually good simple website where u can find where to watch shit and it stays updated and isnt full of AI generated SEO-increasing slop. reply/rb with it pls lol)

hi. im finally moving out with my beloved shortly, which likely means less frequent art. how it is now, i post every other day and have a backlog which gives me some sense of security, but i likely won't be able to keep that up when living with my partner!

i think it's a good thing. letting myself spend some time learning the things i want to learn will likely increase the joy i get from making the things i make, because that's what really matters. as much as i'd like to say i'm invulnerable to stupid internet numbers, i'm not. it hasn't influenced the art i make, but it has influenced the rate at which i make art, and has caused me to de-emphasize getting better. i run in a loop of learn, create, plateau, learn, but i've noticed my plateaus getting longer the better i get. i don't want to look at my art 2 years from now and go "huh, it's basically stayed the same for 2 years."

since yall are the tumblr creaturethings you get this bigger, longer, and stupider version of this update than the twitter critters will. sorry!
