Happy New Year first of all !!!

I think I'm coming a bit late but we never know... one of your most precious hc for the hollows is that they basically live in constant pain and misery 😏💞

What would be the espadas worst or most notable chronic pain in your opinion? Like do their joints hurt ? Deep ache in their hollow hole area ? Chronic migraine ? 🥺 please do your worst :)

I'm going to take a bit of creative liberty here and go with "most notable form of physical/mental misery" instead of specifically "chronic pain" for some of them, so I hope that works! :D

Starrk

The most notable thing for Starrk is just a general sense of utter exhaustion that never goes away. He's constantly tired in a way that goes well beyond "wanting to sleep"... one that matches up far better with what we'd know as "severe depression". Loneliness is also physically painful, sometimes. It shouldn't be possible, but when he's feeling his worst, the sense of utter isolation and misery aches deep down in his chest like it really might kill him.

Halibel

Her mask causes the worst pain. It's one of those Hollow things where the biology does not make sense, and between the weight of it on her unsuited human jaw structure and the motions it goes through to retract, her whole face, neck, chest, and upper back area tends to hurt quite a bit. The problem, while not exactly fixable, is mostly muscle tension and strain, so things like massage can provide a fair amount of temporary relief.

Ulquiorra

While he's good at disguising the outward signs, Ulquiorra is prone to sensory overstimulation-induced migraines, most easily triggered by an overload of sound or bright light. He refuses to acknowledge that he's feeling any kind of pain (especially in front of anyone else), but the worst ones force even his stoic self to retreat to his quarters and shut himself somewhere dark and quiet until his head stops feeling like it's going to split open.

Nnoitra

Everything. He's another one who doesn't admit to pain easily, but Nnoitra has a lot of it. Constant battles mean plenty of wounds, and among those, plenty that didn't heal right. There are more places on him that regularly hurt than he can count, and it's not like he bothers to try. Nnoitra completely ignores the pain unless it's impacting his ability to fight, convinced that he can handle it just fine... and that he deserves the suffering, anyway.

Grimmjow

The worst thing he experiences is the agitation. Grimmjow doesn't quite have a way to describe it, but there are times when he can't stand staying still. When he has to go out and wander and fight and do something, or he feels like he'll go insane. Despite getting highly aggressive during these times, they're more motivated by a restless sort of fear than anything. Beyond that, he also has the problem of a variety of old scars causing near-constant pain.

Szayel

He has a bad habit of refusing to sleep until his body literally gives out under him— even though Szayel very much knows better, sleep feels much too static, and much too vulnerable. As a result, he's near-constantly jittery and exhausted, functioning on a cocktail of self-made drugs to keep himself alert and capable until he's forced to rest. At its worst, the sleeplessness induces fits of awful paranoia that tend to end in a self-destructive mess.

Aaroniero

His entire body is a mess of incorrectly formed biology that never should have come together how it did. As a result, a lot of things hurt. Frequent pain and intense discomfort are just part of existence for Aaroniero— not that it makes his already-tense temperament any better. He doesn't know any way to fix it, and assumes that it's just what he has to live with as a consequence of his own weakness. It's impossible to imagine the hurt stopping.

my bitch!!!!!!! i love him!!!! i dont know why but i really love him!!!!! i think was strikes me the most about him is his past, and how despite being a little shit, he constantly feels despair, being humiliated, seen/treated less of a person which just... consumes him more and more.. he's not the kind of person you'd feel bad for bc he's such a bad person, like, terrible, was he always like that? who knows, hollows are hurt being so... yeah, i love his aspect of death (despair) and ofc, his desgin..... idc, i think he's really pretty

okayy, im gonna go with that whole misogyny thing, while i do think he is, i dont think its the main reason he hates nelliel, he hates her for many many reasons but if you wanna go on and tell me he's not misogynistic, im just gonna call you one, yes idc if you're a woman lmao you cant sugarcoat or find a valid reason why he said he hated women who are stronger, oH BuT TieR, he didnt pick on her bc he didnt care about her, while nelliel, he hated her for several reasons and being a woman added to it

I had to stand up, go for a walk around the table and sit back down TWICE before i was able to write anything in reply. Thank you so much for saying something so nice. I really have put a lot of work into fleshing Grimm out and writing his Headcanons. It really does mean a whole lot that you think he’s good, especially because i have read your HCs and I know that you keep such a high standard.

You are too precious El! And I love our chats too b/c you really do just let me chat so much about my baby and tbh that kind of chatting helps me finally ut all these thoughts into words so im glad that they dont just sound like im chatting straight shit ahahaha!
