6 Anime Re-heat Your Mid Year Feeling This July/August 2022
There's no better way to kick off the summer season than by watching some of your favorite anime! Whether you're looking for something light and anime-centric to watch on a hot day, or something with a bit more substance to keep you entertained all summer long, these seven shows are sure to do the trick this month.
And since we already covered some July anime here, there are still some left at the end of July that we will put here as a nice transition between those two months!
July 24th: Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii
With a later appearance in July we have a Manga adaptation that many waited for.
The English title of this anime is The Maid I hired recently is Mysteriou, and tells us already a lot about what we can expect from this anime.
Yuuri is a young master whose father recently hired a maid without his knowledge or consent. When the beautiful Maid Lilith arrives at his mansion Yuuri is not only surprised but overly suspicious of the mysterious beauty that steps in.
A natural skeptical approach from Yuuri’s side lets him overthink and analyze every perfect move she makes and doesn’t trust neither her nor his father.
With a constant feeling of a scheme being planned behind his back, he keeps his eye on her to make sure the mysterious maid won’t confirm his bad feeling.
On the other hand Lilith grows fond of the young master and tries her best to overcome the obstacle of his first impression in order to get closer to him…
July 28th: BanG Dream! Morfonication
This short special consists of only 2 Episodes.
Those two episodes focus on the Violin Rock Band Morfonica from the BanG Dream series.
It plays in the summer vacation of the band and their excitement for many planned live performances they had in mind.
Yet there is something strange arranged behind the others back by one member leading to a certain reunion that was not expected.
There isn’t much revealed about the plot, but since the trailer is short, matching the length of the special, we will just have to wait for the beautiful scenery to finally hit us completely.
Aug 1st: Fuuto Tantei
Fuuto Tantei immediately makes you think that despite the stunning animation and art style this anime kind of has an old vibe, matching more of one of the retro anime from back then.
This is no surprise when we get to know that this is a sequel of the Kamen Rider W anime from 2009.
The plot takes place in Fuuto City, where so-called “Gaia Memories”, are used by criminals to gain supernatural powers transforming them into monsters, in order to wreak havoc.
A self-proclaimed detective, Shoutarou Hidai and his intelligent partner Phillip, they also use those powers for good. They transform into the city’s legendary hero Kamen Rider W and get to the bottom of the crimes.
Those who hurt Fuuto City are promised to pay up for their crimes in the name of justice, by a detective and his partner!
A heart-racing game of justice and evil, giving many people the long-awaited continuation of their nostalgic childhood.
Aug 4th: Yoru wa Neko to Issho
With Action-filled crime scenes and heart-racing dreams this anime is a little bit more on the cozy and calmer side.
A series to enjoy when it’s time to wind-down and just silently watch heart-warming cat and owner daily activities unfold.
This cute comedy revolves around Fuuta who just wants to spend some time with his cat after coming home from an exhausting and tiresome day.
Yet cats tend to be a little bit on the mysterious side and are unpredictable at times, it’s hard to fully reproduce them but it shows how much we care about our fluffy furball.
Just like Fuuta and his little furball that will give us a little laugh this August.
Aug 8th: Nanashi Kaidan
Since August is also often used in time-loop and horror stories we cannot rule out the possibility of another little scare this season.
Nanashi Kaidan also meaning Nameless Horror stories is an up-coming short-series consisting of 10 Episodes that will air.
The Episodes will air every day from August 8th to August 19th, each episode depicting the uneasy feeling of fear and sensing something out there, which children usually feel.
Character designs of the three revealed ones are very interesting and each have 2 versions.
Yet there is not much more revealed, nor a trailer that could give away anything about the series.
Aug 19th: D4DJ Double Mix
The last one on our list is an anime special Episode of the D4DJ series.
It revolves around the story of Merm4id and Rondo, two DJ groups who are supposed to have a joint performance together.
There is not much information beside that, but for the people who already enjoyed the game and the first season of the anime will rejoice in another special episode covering those two groups.
Despite the fact that summer is reaching an end, this year is not over yet.
The end of July and August are still filled with heated anime series to enjoy, to make you feel the spark and motivation that may have decreased compared to spring.
And still we are wondering what will unfold this Fall season of 2022 as well?
Let’s find it out when the time comes and reach another heart thumping season together!
