Say hello 2 New Moon!

This is a birthday present from my longtime beloved friend Tannie. It took a few weeks, but here he is!

He's a Mongoose, still my fave brand. He has a back wheel brake (THANK GOD not a front wheel brake! I never did trust those!), a rechargeable front & back light, a kickstand, psychedelic light up decorations in the wheels 4 night time (Tannie's idea ;) ), pads, a strong iPhone holder, & then I just couldn't resist the little bell with the peace sign on it I saw at the last minute. ;)

He's even more beautiful in person than in the pictures!

I was also bought a helmet as well as leg straps 4 my pant leg's safety, plus 1 heck of a POWERFUL lock!

The bike store manager said as she took it out, "It's a beautiful bike!" & indeed he is :)

I think it took 30 minutes 2 ride him from the bike shop all the way 2 derweinerschnitzel 4 lunch, then another 15 home.

A tiny bit awkward carrying up the stairs but I'll just do my best 2 be careful.

He's staying in my room with me when not being ridden as I don't trust having him locked 2 the bike rack outside in this neighborhood.

The seat felt a tad stiff but I'm sure that's because I haven't ridden a bike in some 35 years! 😂

He doesn't take up 2 much room in my place, either.

Plus riding him with a stereo soundtrack playing was AWESOME, since I could put my iPhone in the new iPhone holder & turn on music! :)

He sounds so innocent. When I rode him and went over a slight bump, the little ring made a slight "ding" & I thought, he sounds so comfortingly innocent ;)

I brought him carefully in my front door & said, "Welcome home, New Moon. You're going 2 be very happy here."
