Pardon my immodesty, but I just came up with a really cool idea. XD

This is about a potential future scenario for Momo and Midas, so I'll hide it under a read more. No art this time, just text idea-spewing.

So, while hatching some eggs, I was doing a casual (unsuccessful) shiny skim in an outbreak of Dragalge, and it got me thinking.

I can easily see Momo becoming a Dragon type trainer, if she becomes a trainer at all. And I started fantasizing about what Pokemon she would train.

And naturally, I can't think about Momo without Midas intruding on the train of thought.

Now, for a long time I've known that Midas would be a Grass type trainer. I haven't really thought about what he would train, but I was hit with a glorious, accidentally perfect thought.

Applin.

The Grass/Dragon type.

Its evolutions are a SOUR variant, and a SWEET variant.

Momo and Midas' taste preferences.

So then I started thinking of them as a Tate and Liza type Gym Leader set up, where they each have two Pokemon of their type specialty, and their respective Applin evo.

They could of course each have a full team of their respective types. But I ADORE the idea of them having twin/sibling Applins as their starters. Midas would have a female and name her Candy, while Momo would have a male--Bonus points if he's shiny, lol! (I haven't thought of a name for him yet. Smith, maybe? Real original, I know. XD)

I've always liked Flapple WAY more than Appletun. But this could be a chance to turn my opinion on Appletun around. I'm already finding myself with cute images of Midas and his little Candy apple. ^w^

Anyway, that's my idea. Just another "wouldn't it be neat if" to throw on the pile. Thank you for reading, if you did!~

Heroes and Pokémon AU:

What about Meowth for Momo? It can learn Pay Day and Persian seems like someone associated with wealth and decorum…the question is if it be normal or Alolan?

Also what would Eri get? I could see Applin cause of PLM but at the same time I could see her giving an Absol.

She believes she’s cursed while Absol is believed to bring disasters which is untrue plus they both have a single horn on their head and Absol could sense when Eri’s quirk activates.

I could also see Izuku getting Absol when Eri runs into him.

Oh I love both of these suggestions; these are great

Also if I don't say normal Meowth, my beta reader will kill me. And if I say Galarian, he'll kill me slowly.

But I digress. Yes, Meowth with Payday for Yaoyorozu that becomes a very regal Persian

And Eri deserves to have created a giant fluffy dog that was blamed for disasters but in actuality predicts and prevents them

Oh, I could go on about them for ages, Tula. You enable me.

Wolfgang is, of course, my wonderful, stubborn, sort of antisocial, incredibly dedicated, and caring older brother! He's like the leader of my little household of Pokémon. He's always the one who stops me from running into stuff impulsively, too... I think that's rubbed off on me by now, though.

Ringogo has been my chill buddy since I traveled to Galar! People say that Applin are meant to show your love for someone; I think Ringogo brings me love, constantly, whether that's by snagging flowers he finds, watching me cook, or adding his own little touches to all of the moves we practice battling with!

Likewise, Chiru has been the guardian of my mental health ever since I set foot in Mesagoza nine years ago. The songs he sings are the absolute silliest--I've heard him make ones up about cleaning my dorm because I'm a lazy bum (lovingly), his epic battle against Geeta's Gogoat, and the one time I was late feeding him by a whole ten minutes. But somehow, he always knows the right humor for the moment.

Maamaa and Momo are both mascots; they know this and they love it. Momo is an expert at picking the right moment to lay her head on a client's lap, and Maamaa is an expert at bleating something incredibly embarrassing to me to lighten up any situation. They both make wonderful therapy Pokémon, though. And Maamaa's wool is the softest!

Dolly and Soda... I didn't get them at the same time, but they're practically inseparable. Soda's so enthusiastic and curious about life... I can hardly keep up with all of his questions! And his appetite. Dolly's got quite the spirit too, and every time we manage to connect over a new word, I feel like we get a little closer! Even though her trust isn't fully solidified, I can feel it growing... and that makes me feel so wonderful!

I can't wait to meet my new Pokémon too, however they turn out to be!

[OOC] Hikari's Teams

Galar:

Her team is still in progress! She's going to keep Corona (Lurantis) at Skull to fill her position while she's traveling for Professor Elm. Meanwhile, she's taking Corona with her to help her out around Galar. She found an Applin. His name is Pippin!

Alola:

As always, Hikari's team is in the upper 40, early 50s. She's been at this for a while. Corona is obvious, being her partner. Zephyr is her Archeops, who helps her get around the islands with ease. Aquarius the Goodra was a Goomy with eggs that was found underneath the Shady House that she kept and took care of. Eventually just got adopted.

Honey the Bewear was a Shiny Stufful she found while keeping an eye on an Aether trailer TAKING PICTURES of native Salandit colonies. Terrance the Krookodile is team dad, good at terrain leveling and dealing damage, and is the one Hikari asks for assistance the most, when somebody's trying to get smart.

Tank is the Clawitzer. He's a heavy-duty 'mon that's exclusively for battling at a safe distance. Need something frozen stealthily? Ice Beam with its Sniper ability. Make quick work, and also quick ice slides for fun and play.

Not pictured: Asami the Weavile, Momo the Heracross, Scout the Furret, Bitchface the Nihilego (deceased)
