Update!
Good news: I finished the back panel of the folklore cardigan last night.
Bad news: I don't have enough of one of the yarns left to make both sleeves + ribbing. As I was using upcycled yarns from 2 sweaters, it'll be hard to source.
Solution? I'm thinking of buying the closest color, then make half of the sleeves in the old one and half of the other in the new color. The ribbing will all be in the new color.

Also. Also.
I made this "Crochet Heart Headband".

Day 2: How You Plan
Plan what? My next project? Easy. Curious? Just read below.
Step 1: List every project you want to do. Leave a lot of space for more projects.
Step. 2: Pick one. If it’s not in the list, it’s fine, just add it in later.
Step 3: Find pattern and print it out. (Or not.)
- Step 3.1: If there are no free patterns, consider buying one, or
- Step 3.2: Create your own.
Step 4: Check yarn stash for color choices.
- Step 4.1: If yarn not available, head to your nearest yarn /craft store and buy some.
– Step 4.1.1: If color of choice not available, pick another color, or
– Step 4.1.2: Go home. Check your trusty online seller.
— Step 4.1.2.a: Wait for yarn to arrive.
— Step 4.1.2.b: Pick another project. Go back to Step 2.
Step 5: Pick hook needed.
Step 6: Pick craft notebook (& pen/s).
Step 7: Pick location with great space and lighting.
Step 8: Arrange materials artfully.
Step 9: Take a picture. Take multiple pictures.
Step 10: Post on your social media accounts, or
- Step 10.1: Save it for later.
Step 11:Find comfy pillows and arrange them to accomodate your butt and lower back.
- Step 11.1: Find another to put in your lap.
Step 12: Get drink of choice and/or snack of choice ready. You will be sitting in that one spot for a long time.
Step 13: Settle down and get started.
- Step 13.1: Don’t forget to write down notes.
- Step 13.2: Oh, and drink lots of water.
Step 14: Take a break. Shake your hands. Stretch your arms and legs. Walk around.
- Step 14.1: Refill glass & snack bowl.
- Step 14.2: Want to start another project? Go back to Step 1.
Step 15: Repeat steps 13 to 14 until project is finished.
Step 16: Repeat 7 to 10 to take pictures of finished product.
Step 17: Go back to Step 1.
And that is how I plan my next project. Feel free to follow these steps. Want to know how I write my own patterns? Keep your eyes peeled for my next step-by-step-by-step guide on how to write your own patterns. It will be available in the near intergalactic future.
Thanks for reading! Ciao!

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 31: How Did You Do? We have reached the end of the month, which means the end of NaKniCroMo. I had a lot of fun this month, with both the daily photo challenges, tho I missed a few days, and the completion of my set goals. Without further ado, let’s see how I did this past month: 1. Stash Bust/Yarn Stash Busting - Use up all of the yarns I have acquired. And I mean ALL. OF. IT. I have reduced this goal to using up half of my current stock. I used up at least ¼. It’ll do. - In the same vein, I’ll try to not buy any yarn this month. I bought a few. They’ll be coming in April. Does that count as a fail? - This is related to my personal goal to create 100 original crochet projects this 2018, so I’m going to try and make 5 to 8 projects this month. I managed to make 15. Yay me! 2. WIPs - It is finally time to finish the Minion amigurumi that I’ve started almost 3 years ago. Oops. Finished it! 3. Dream Projects - I am going to start, and finish, a Harry Potter ami. (Ron & Hermione won’t be lonely anymore). Not even started. - Bust out as many squares for the Weasley Blanket as I can. (I’m certain I won’t be able to finish this particualr project this month because I lack certain colors and I won’t be buying any more yarn.) 19.5/80 6"×6" squares. Not bad. I had lots of fun this month and that is what matters most.

[photo: (above) Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan R; (l-r) Umaru's beanie, Umaru's beanie-inspired cowl] NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 10: Inspiration I can take this prompt two ways: 1. People who have inspired me, or 2. Things that have inspired me. I will be talking about the second one. I take inspirations for a lot of my projects from anime, movies, and books. My surroundings is also a great source of inspiration for different color combinations. Anything and everything, really, can be one. I get excited whenever I see, even just a glimpse, of yarn-related crafts in shows I'm watching. I'd either (try to) recreate it or use it as my basis for another project (e.g., the pictures above).

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 5: How You Organize Bins. I have 4 of them, two 20 liters & two 12 liters. Let's break down how I use these, shall we? - One 20 L bin is for my yarn stash. All of them. I don't really buy much, just what I needed (and a few extra), so they fit inside. - One 12 L bin for my finished projects. I mostly make things to give away, and the occasional commision, so this bin usually don't get overflowed. But since I started my "100 Crochet Projects in 2018", I needed another bin to hold them, thus, the other 20 L. - The other 12 L to hold miscellaneous items, like: my knitting needles, craft journals, & some random trinkets necessary to my work (e.g., buttons). Oh, yeah, I also use 2 bags. One to hold the larger random trinkets that don't fit inside the 12 L bin (e.g., rubber mats), and the other to store my current project/s in. This I bring everywhere.

Day 20: Favorite Type of Project
Next to making beanies, I love working on amigurumis. Yes, it can be time-consuming. Yes, you will need a lot of patience. Yes, you’re hand will hurt while, and after, making one ami. Yes, you will come to hate sewing on parts (mine always are skewed. i cry.) But at the end of the day, once you’ve finished even just one, it will be worth it.
There are amigurumi patterns that requires no sewing, like the HP character in the picture. It is made from bottom to top in one go, attaching the separately made arms in the indicated areas. The tie is the only thing to be sewed on, but it’s such a tiny thing that I don’t mind. I also don’t mind embroider. I don’t know why, but I just hate attaching things.

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 16: Yarn Stash This is all of it. The cakes ara mix of soft acrylic and fine cotton yarn while the small skeins are all acrylics, which I use for amigurumi.

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 30: Fun Fact! Fun fact (about me): I rarely work without any kind of background noise. For some reason, I can crochet/knit longer when I a) listen to music, b) listen to an audiobook, or c) watch movies/youtube videos that does not need subtitles. I haven't mastered the art of reading and crocheting simultaneously. Yet.

Day 7: Share Your Progress!
I wanted to post a picture of the projects I’ve made/started since March 1st, but then I skimmed the prompts for the photo challenge and saw that there are 3 more “Share Your Progress!” days after this (+ Day 31, aka, wrap-up day).
To avoid using a photo with almost the same contents over and over again, I decided to share a from a category (from Day 1) at a time.
This is from category 2: WIPs.
I’ve started making the missing pieces to the minion, like shhoes/legs & gloces/fingers, and assembling loose pieces. It’s taking a bit more time than I expected because of the hook I’m using.
I’ve gone a long time with not using a 2.00mm hook, so I needed to rest my hands after every other row. It hurts, you know? Especially as my hooks don’t have handles to comfortingly grip. I’m already saving to buy a set, hopefully before the year end.

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 4: Worst Habit I rarely block my finished projects. And, as evidenced by the photo above, my blocking method is slightly off (I should have blocked the hats before sewing on the beanie). Nor do I make gauge swatches. "The horror!" I hear you shout from a distance. I know. I'm striving to rectify this. One of my goals is to knit my very own Weasley Sweater (by following a pattern, of course), and I couldn't possibly make one to fit if I don't make gauge swatches AND later block the sweater, right? On the other hand, I design patterns (that I don't intend to unleash unto the masses; at least, not yet), thus, I don't really need to make gauge swatches before I start. I'm not averse to ripping rows upon rows of hard work if I don't like how the design turns out, so there's that. Usually, if a particular design is not working, I leave that project and work on another one. I'll get back to it later. Much, much later. Also, read this: amigurumi. No swatches or blocking needed.

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 9: First Project The video tutorial I was learning from had a project that came with it. It gives the crochet beginner some sense of accomplishment having finished a project at the end of the video, no matter how many times said video was replayed. I made a coaster, the lavender one at the middle, while trying to learn how to do chains and single crochets. I think it was good practice. Making a coaster also teaches one how to count stitches & rows and how to use the turning chain (ch 1).

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 23: Recently Finished Project This green book pouch that I just finished at the time of this posting (3/23/2018, 6:50 PM). Also, this is the 5th original project of the month. I just completed one of my goals for NaKniCroMo. Yay!

NaKniCroMo 2018 Day 22: Many WIPs or 1 WIP I mostly work with one project at a time; finishing my current work in progress before moving on to another project. But, sometimes, I have multiple WIPs on my hand; especially if they're either a large amigurumi project or just a large project in general, like the Weasley Blanket, that will take several weeks to months (to years!) to finish. My limit is 3-4 WIPs: 1 large WIP, 1 ami, & 1-2 small WIPs. I find it hard to return and work on an old WIP, that's why I like to finish any project I started as fast as I can, otherwise it'll just sit there and gather dust for months (or years) until I pick them up again.
