The Two Sisters

“And here, my lord, may I present my daughters: Sasha and Daniyah.” The clan chief bowed deeply again and stepped away, his arm outstretched, to reveal the young girls who had hidden behind him. 

The two girls were barely into their teenage years, or at least whatever equivalent in scale for the non-human species of this tribe. Gorvin always thought of them as “elves” due to the pointed ears and bone structure, but the elves were something entirely distinct from a world that had not yet fallen to the Enemy. They were of a height and shared many of the same features but otherwise felt quite distinct to Gorvin’s eyes. 

The one to step forward first had a head of brilliant red hair and was dressed in a scaled-down version of the warrior garb of the tribe. She stared into Gorvin’s eyes for just a moment more than was proper before bowing to match her father’s gesture. “Greetings, my lord,” she said.

The other - adorned with pale blue hair and a simple smock - hesitated, a tremble in her step as she followed her sister. “Greetings, my lord,” she said in a quiet voice. She made no eye contact, instead immediately bowing. This must be Daniyah, then, as Sasha was said to be the warrior of the family.

Gorvin waved for all of them to rise from their bows. He hated this sort of deference. It was beneath him and his Estate. To be Power of Worms was to receive respect but not obeisance. Worms were not to be ignored, but neither were they to be treated as higher beings.

“Sasha,” Gorvin said. “I understand you have already earned your name in accordance with your clan traditions in this most recent battle. Tell me of it.”

Sasha smiled furiously, placing her hand to the knife at her belt. “I am Sasha Firevine, so named for how I brought victory and claimed this new tunnel for our tribe. I have mastered the use of the explosives and pyrogenic compounds we captured from our previous foes. The traps I sprung lit up the enemy’s halls and left none alive.” Her tone was curt, succinct, and spoke proudly without arrogance. A fine example of the sort who would thrive here.

Vuriel would need to be told to keep an eye on this one.

The other sister - Daniyah - had raised from her bow but still kept her eyes lowered.

“Daniyah,” Gorvin commanded. “Look at me. I would see your eyes.” Slowly, hesitantly, the girl lifted her face to see his. There were no tears there, as he had expected. A less observant being might put all of this together and see her timid. But Gorvin had seen many in his decades here and on Earth. The perception of a Noble was not one to cut short at the surface level.

He waited a few moments, holding her gaze, as if daring her to look away. She did not. Her expression was passive, not full of the pride of her sister, but set. Her eyes did not so much meet Gorvin’s as stare through them. As if looking inside him, judging and analyzing. Waiting. And beneath all that, a seed of true rage.

This one. This one would be trouble.

Gorvin smiled.

After a few hours of sleep, the smaller skeleton started to wake up, his eyes opening a bit. He glanced around the room. While one eye was a soft purple, the other seemed to be a faded grey-purple color. “Hello?” He glanced around, Seeing mist and Ari playing Uno. He tilted his head as he noticed both of them look over towards him. “Night! You’re awake!”(ari) “morning nightlight” mist and Ari smiled. “Morning.. mist- who’s the other person?” Night tilted his head- the question caused Ari to freeze and tear up.. he didn’t remember.

Yup! Tic and LockHart are twin brothers! I mentioned before LockHart wasn't originally from UnderMagic and woke up there with no memory?

Welp he's actually from Tic's au FaeTale and his real name was Notic, they've recently reunited.

But the machine they used malfunctioned and only pulled one of them through into Artemis's au.

When I first did the drawing, which was traditional, I did not like it. It has been weeks since I inked, and I wasn’t very great in the first place. So... I just scanned my book and did everything again, with my tablet, and the result is way better than I thought it could be. 

I tried something new, but still a style that I wanted to try out, shadowing with just black and white. I don’t like coloring, it takes so much more time, but it can be fun in some cases. The fanart also let me know how I want to express the Sanses ! And I like the outcome. 

I hope the one concerned like it as much as I do, honestly. xD
