by far my favorite trait a writer can give a fictional character is when they create a person who's supposedly super cunning and mean and unfriendly and Above Common Man but actually they're just silly. they're just really silly and off-kilter and they know how to juggle or something. the ideal character is that underneath all the layers of four dimensional chess moves and secrecy, they're just having a weird fun time.
