Mehendi is a traditional tattooing done using leaves of the henna tree. The leaves are crushed, formed into a paste and poured into a cone. A small opening is made on top of the cone and similar to icing a cake, design is made on the palm and feet. Once it is dry, the dry paste is washed off and the tattoo remains! 🐦🐦

NB : this is not the western tattoo. Mehendi is not done by scratching or piecrcing the skin.Why I said it's tattoo is becoz Since it forms an impression and stays for days before wearing off, the closest word to mehendi in English is tattoo.

I’ve taken a break from watching Imlie post the big holi episode because… how long till one of these two gives the other a break? I’m surprised that I feel worse for Imlie than I do for Aryan and the reason for that is he knows what’s going on but Imlie is just lost.. and at this point in time from her perspective she has no one she can go to even though there are many who claim to love her and care for her. It’s Sumbul’s performance that just makes you feel her exhaustion and ugh she’s dumb but she’s 20? I just wish she’d be the tiniest bit selfish, her life would be so much better 😭

oh this turned long.

I feel bad for Imlie, I really do. my heart does go out to her but I am still so firmly #TeamAryan that all my empathy for Imlie just isn't enough for me to support her? i get where she's coming from. i get the sense of being loneliness added with the frustration of being used that has taken over her. i understand why she lashes out on Aryan. but it's WHAT she says when she lashes out that makes me go, "ummm..no."

this so-called "forced shaadi" has been discussed in so many ways in the fandom that frankly i am a bit tired™ of it all but I know there's no skirting around this issue as well. and the biggest question here is about Imlie's choice or rather lack of. personally I stand firmly on the side that she had a choice, she made a choice, and is now just being petulant about it. she cannot eat her cake and have it too. Aryan did not put a gun on her head and forced her to marry him. he offered her a choice that too when SHE went to him with folded hands and with the demeanor of a defeated person. so really..I don't understand her accusations that Aryan somehow tricked her.

he told her to marry him. she interpreted the marriage offer as his revenge plan. that's on HER. he has told her twice if not thrice that he would never use HER for any of his plans. from his side the offer to marry was sincere as it was. which is why till now he is going with all through all the rasams, even presenting them as a challenge for Imlie to get out of. SHE thinks he is using trickery when he is really just being smart. that's on HER. why blame Aryan?!

how is exchanging gold rings in the engagement with platinum trickery? LOADS of people go for platinum bands for their engagement or wedding rings. Holi? it was the whole challenge. she used physical force to stop him from touching her, he only retaliated by using a little more force and colored her. Lantern? Imlie in her smugness thought only her wish would be fulfilled but we saw that the wish that took the lantern to the sky was indirectly the one which blessed her marriage with Aryan. Mehendi? Aryan DID warn her to not celebrate her victory too soon but she thought her bare hands would be enough for her four mothers to call off the wedding (ek toh loooooooool that was literally one of the top most stupid things she has ever said and that's saying a lot considering how much stupidity she tends to spew). Aryan had already put her name on his hand in the mehendi which showed how serious he is about the rasams.

again and again constantly Aryan keeps telling her to be stronger, be smarter, be more shrewd if she wants to escape. she is not in a trap. she is in an escape room where she has to solve puzzles to get the key. Aryan will open the door. she cannot always bulldoze her way out of rooms. dimag lagana padega. khud ko prioritize karna padega. that is all he wants from her.

Aryan is still very much in character. his challenges/lessons for Imlie have always been painful. he has always forced her to confront situations that she would much rather avoid. and she has always come out stronger from them. this is just the most painful lesson yet.

honestly? Imlie's age just doesn't work as an excuse anymore. I have seen the fd give her age as a reason for why she is the way she is and no? 20 pe koi itnaaaa self-destructive nahin hota jitni yeh hai? the excuse of her owing it to the Ts cuz they are her first family also doesn't work. she has done more than enough to pay them back for the some days of love they gave her. ghar tak de diya unhen. if she cannot see that the family had started to depend on her for every damn thing (Adi ne sharab pee li hai aake uske sambhalo like what nonsense :@) and her serving behavior towards them would've only enabled them to demand more and more out of her. her love for the family has even given Nalla the confidence ke Imlie ain't over him and no one from his family has actually given Nalla a much needed beating down to get him into his senses.

Aryan, UNFORTUNATELY, sees this and he, UNFORTUNATELY, wants Imlie out of this situation. that's his fault. he gets to be this hated person because he is seeing Imlie for the child she is and treating her as such. Imlie is being forced into this marriage but Aryan knows that he too is signing up for an indefinite period of chaos. any attraction that he feels for Imlie is buried so deep within him and he has effectively killed any chances of those feelings ever being accepted because of how he has treated Imlie in these days. oh i am not trying to "hayee bechara Aru" this situation but his future in this marriage cannot be disregarded. he has risked breaking his family's trust on him beyond repair with this marriage stunt. Imlie can taunt him all she wants for being so driven by his revenge that he is ready to hurt his own family but that's not like Aryan to NOT know that. he literally lives to protect his people! his predicament isn't small either.

Imlie is just so....fixated on this assumption that only SHE is right. only HER way is correct. only what SHE feels matter. and Aryan has called her out on it. she is so blinded by the faith she has in her sight that she simply refuses to see what's in front of her! that her the choices she makes for herself continue to push her in a deep ditch she will find herself impossible to get out of. Imlie's sin is pride. the irony is that the pride is so unwarranted? Aryan told her that her twisted definition of strength that reduces her self-worth more and more with each situation does not make her strong. strong are the people who first empower themselves because they know that they stronger they are, the more power they'll have to fight the challenges that life has and will CONTINUE to throw their way. ek hi ladai mein sab hathyar use kardena means jung shuru hone se pehle hi khatam hojana. that's what Imlie refuses to see.

GAH THIS TOOK A TURN!!! but the gist of the situation is simply this - Imlie chose this for herself. she cannot complain now. she could at any point go to the many people who are her "apne" and fucking DEMAND that they protect her. like they are SUPPOSED to. idk about pre-310 but the Imlie that I have been seeing has been told multiple times to 1) act her age and 2) prioritize herself. what better chance to do that now? you know if she exposes the truth of this deal literally no one would blame her? because the bad person would be Aryan. a fact that I am sure Aryan knows of. but he was ready to deal with the consequences when he made the deal. it's just Imlie the gadhi that he so rightfully calls her yet again took the responsibility of others' happiness WITHOUT BEING ASKED TO and now she's suffering. behan ya toh responsiblity lo hi nahin ya ab le rahi ho toh complain na karo? PICK A STRUGGLE. and stick with it.
