I have a somewhat peculiar piece of fabric that my quilt group gave me for making a quilt to donate. A friend suggested I make Then Came June's Meadowland quilt with it.

Thing is, I should probably be doing a 3-yard quilt (ie: fewer colors, used to a greater extent) rather than a 10-fabric Meadowland.

All the same, here's a hasty mockup from quiltmockup.com. If I had taken a better photograph of the tie-dye, it'd perhaps be a better glimpse, but anyway. Putting this here for my own reference.

Forest farm used to be my go-to for the foraging but now it's *gotta* be the meadowlands farm. Not just for the chickens but because the farm itself is gorgeous. The waterfalls??? Hello???

I had been worried there would genuinely not be enough space for crops but I don't tend to grow a lot of crops at all in this game (I tend to go pretty slowly tbh, and by the time I get to late game I'll also have Ginger Island for ancient fruit and other moneymakers) and the more I've explored the farm the more I've been like "yeah no that's enough space"

With some considerable self-possession it ambles across the stones in the shallows, and clambers up the far bank. The otter has not quite run away; in the military euphemism it has retreated.
