one of the best things about growing up with digimon was explaining digivolutions to my friends, especially to the ones who liked pokemon

i remember showing a friend who was over at my house gatomon digivolving into angewomon, and she was so shocked. she looked at me, looked at the tv, and said, “how did it go from a cute cat to an angel? is that even possible?” my only response to her was, “just wait till you see the others," and she shouted, “there’s more?!”

i think that will forever be my favorite reaction to a digivolution
