#I finally got around to finishing part one of a fic that I’d been working on for a while and posted it last night #and it got a fraction of the reception that I thought it would #I know ‘write for yourself and not an audience’ and not to compare myself to others #but I’m comparing it to the reception the first half of the fic got and I’m really bummed out about it #part of that might be because I somehow accidentally marked it as incomplete and didn’t forgive out how to fix that until this morning #but the two people who’ve commented have been…not mean but not exactly kind either #one person is trying to point out a plot hole that isn’t really a plot hole and it’s really pissing me off #like #who asked??? #I dunno I think after I finish the sequel to this fic I might take a break from writing for a bit #maybe the arcane fandom in general.
