#for the uninitiated- rufus in canon was a woman who disguised herself as a man to join the army (this was like 4k yrs before canon events) #anyway i cant stop thinking about rufus slowly realizing he's a man #and not being able to confide in anyone cause....everyone knows him as a presumed cis man #maybe he talks w daikenja bc like. daikenja is at least not a straight guy lol #i just love the thought of him realizing the lie has become the truth - or was the truth all along #and he's more comfortable in this 'disguise' than he ever was living as a woman #what i havent decided is when shinou finds out #like has he already figured this out by the time they hook up? #or is it the other way around and he had to be like #ok u know how ur one of the only pple who know im 'a woman'? well forget you knew that lol #actually i like the latter bc of the comedy potential of shinou having his bi awakening twice' #once when he first realized he was attracted to rufus #(but then he finds out 'the truth' and is like phew nvm lol) #and then again when rufus comes out to him #and he's like well fuck. i was right the first time i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #kkm tag #gods i wish we knew more about rufus....
