You were so tired of receiving stuff as an apology, which led to miscommunication in your relationship. "I'm busy; I have soccer practice." You get his point; it's his career; he wants to improve. Then you asked yourself, "Why enter a relationship if you knew that you couldn't balance each other?"

Missing the dates was fine at first since you understood him, but this time, as another gift in your hotel room after having a little vacation with Reo, it was supposed to be your time together. Then what did he do? He left the morning after saying, "I will make it up to you, baby." You had enough, so that's what you're doing right now.

Was it toxic? maybe a little but you were desperate so you started this week to let it pass by so now he was free you sat on your couch as you heard a ring on the bell you stood up opening the door there you saw Reo in a formal attire smiling as he holds a bouquet of your favorite flowers "love this for you," he said handing the bouquet as he scanned your figure as he cleared his throat saying "so ready for our date? ''

Clearly, you weren't, and you did it on purpose, so here you stand at your front door with Reo in pajamas, saying, "Oh shit it's today? I'm so sorry I forgot." You tried to act it out, "Maybe another time, Reo?" I promise to make it up to you!''

✧ ˚ · . Nagi Seishiro

As much as you love spoiling Nagi with your love and endless affection, he needs to learn because you can no longer maintain your remaining patience. You knew from the start that he has a habit of saying, "I'll do it later." Sure, you forgave him, but today he pushed the limit.

You left your shared apartment to go buy some groceries. As you left, Nagi was still eating the breakfast you made him. Today was the weekend, which makes your schedule free. Before you left, you told Nagi to wash the dishes, which he only let out a low hum and nodded at, and then you went out.

Now that you are home, you put the grocery bag on the counter and get yourself a glass of water. As you drink your water, you see the unwashed dishes at the sink, and you let out a groan. "Sei!" you called, but there was no response, so you went to the gaming room, where you saw Seishiro, your lover, playing.

"Sei baby, what did I tell you about the dishes and the chores?" you said while leaning at the door. You weren't prepared for what Nagi said back, "s'not fair you do nothing at all." You were shocked. You were about to scold him like a mother when an idea popped into your mind.

"Your right, Seishiro, I do nothing at all. I'm unfair, sorry baby," you said, then you closed the door and went to the kitchen. Instead of cleaning the dishes and putting the groceries in the pantry, you did nothing.

You sat on the sofa and opened the television to go finish some shows. A few hours later, after Nagi got tired of gaming, he went out of the room and called for you, "Baby, I'm hungry. Are we not going to eat yet?"

Being with Chigiri Hyoma has its ups and downs, and you understand every relationship is not perfect, but sometimes you wish every time you two would fight over small things instead of figuring it out together, you were the one who would always give in and talk it out with your lover Hyoma.

Hyoma will always give you silent treatment, and the only way to talk to him is by giving in first. You also have dignity, and there's always a periphery. At times, you wish he would lower his ego and talk it out like an adult.

Right now, the car ride back home is silent. The only source of sound you heard was the vehicle itself. The Bluetooth music was lowered. You swear you're about to gain a stiff neck by looking at the passenger seat as your lover drives. Not one of you would budge or let a single word come out.

Even though the argument was so minor, your sweetheart obviously made a huge deal out of it. You spoke to him in a kind manner at first to try to diffuse the situation, but of course, Hyoma simply let out a huff and gave you the cold shoulder. At first, you said, "Let's just move this on, Hyoma. We're better than getting affected by a small argument. We can't let this ruin our relationship."

You're annoyed by it now, so in the car, you're not going to be the sweetheart you are or bring it up again; you're just going to be silent. You decided that you had had enough and that he needed to break his pattern of giving silent treatment in order to progress.

I don't really understand why Shidou chose PxG though. I mean, he should've chosen BM because it has the world's best striker, but I think he wanted to settle scores with Loki (That match with the World 5 or something after second selection)? Or maybe he just did it to piss off Rin, or as my delulu mind says, Sae told him to stay close by Rin and to take care of him.

Frankly speaking, I'm not much educated in Soccer/Football whatever you call it, but I'm glad he chose PxG because I just know none of the other teams would've been able to handle him.

Let's start with the coaches who themselves couldn't have been able to handle him:

1. Lavinho

Just look:

Just look how triggered he got when Bachira said that; man's nerve literally appeared.

You are telling me that Shidou would quietly listen to someone yapping like this:

By the end of NEL, I bet Lavinho would've at least one charge of aggravated assault on him because of Shidou.

2. Chris Prince

I don't even need to explain it.

My man went from beefing with the world's best striker to beefing with a literal teen.

What makes you think he wouldn't get petty and purposely make Shidou bench throughout NEL?

And as tough it is for me to say this, but no, Shidou isn't an angel. He would definitely rub on Chris' face that he is only the number 2 in the world, and look how good Chris is at provoking someone by only words:

The whole Blue Lock's electricity budget would go into electrocuting these two.

Now the coaches who I think could handle Shidou:

1. Marc Snuffy

He is a mature person.

Shidou would definitely try to 1V1 him, and then get humbled, after which he'd listen to him.

So in this case, it's not the coach, but the team instead because are you forgetting Sendou? Okay, maybe we can consider that Aiku will protect Sendou and keep things in check, but him:

Oh hell nah.

These two would make Snuffy's hairline recede.

2. Noel Noa

Noa is a calm man, and like in the case of Snuffy, Shidou will, of course, 1V1 with Noa, and then get humbled and will become somewhat tame.

But, look at him:

Do I need to say anything more?

Like, just look me in my eyes and tell me that Shidou wouldn't try to light up Kaiser's hair-tail on fire.

Just see:

His face looks like the human embodiment of arson.

Blue Lock will go bankrupt with the amount of Therapists Ego would need to call for Ness's wellbeing.

And let's not forget about Kunigami.

Bro it'd be on sight.

And by the time NEL ends, half the players of BM would be in jail and half would be in an asylum.

I really love Shidou with all my heart though. I mean, yeah, if he were to be real, then I would've probably be scared to even breath in his direction, but you get the point, right? He is just a silly pookie wookie cookie.

The creators have spoken in interviews about drawing Nagi being a real challenge considering how little they can show on his face. And I think this is one of the panels that perfectly captures how they have been able to rise to that challenge, especially as Nagi's motivations and football experience mature over the course of the story.

Something about this panel stops my heart every time and I can never pinpoint what it is because on the outside it's just a sketch of someone standing on the side in a rear view, while his teammates celebrate. Maybe it is the quietly powerful stance, and the way his left fist is clenched behind him. Maybe it is the hint of self-satisfaction in his body language and how you can tell that he's won just from looking at him from behind. Maybe it is because he's standing straight and holding himself up to his full height instead of the usual slouching we have become used to. Maybe it is in how he owns the panel despite other people being in the frame. Maybe it is from how the posture is just enough to convey his self-assuredness in this moment, because anything more would be too much.

I mean all of this is definitely a lesson on how to inject power into a panel with a single image that doesn't even show the character's face. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it and the assignment was simply to make him look hot from the back (not complaining).

It hits even harder if you compare this to the way Nagi is drawn in the matches that follow, where he flounders and fails to score, having lost his motivation.

I didn't think so in the early chapters but Blue Lock since the U-20 arc and Episode Nagi since the beginning have been giving us absolutely stunning artwork my eyes are blessed every week.
