While tidying up I found this scrap of paper with the word "everything" on it. It reminded me"everything" means it all, nothing spared... everything. This year my sonshine challenged me as I grumbled about what I couldn't even tell you. What I remember we're his words "Mom it's all His ; it always will be and has been God's. He's got this and is just asking you along to do what he created you to do. You're not the same, Mom, you're you which is enough". Yeah, I know, right? All that I have is God's goodness & blessing. It's yours too. I've been praying & would like to do two; Small Mall Sundays in The Artroom aka my home art studio. It would give kids in our community a time to come & make gifts for their families. Then I found this scrap of paper today and as reminded of what my son said. It's all God's... that being said I want Small Mall Sundays to be FREE for kids. Would you help me with supplies? If so please comment or message me. I know I'll need; small glass jars with lids ; baby food jars would be perfect Large glass jars with lids ; like spaghetti jars Glass bottles; small single serve tea or juice bottles would be remarkable Clear glass or plastic ornaments Brown paper lunch bags Sprinkles & colored sugar for cookies Quart size Ziploc bags Tissue paper Wrapping paper & gift bags Small hardback journals; can be bought at a dollar shop Used hardcover books I'm sure the list will grow but these are the things I can think of for now. If you have art supplies or craft supplies you'd like to donate that would be swell too. Thanks for helping me to give"everything" & then some. The one where the daughter took over to put down ice melt & even scraped the driveway with the shovel. She said" I don't want you or anyone else to fall". Thankful for; grace in motion, recognition of grace when I see it, and the ability to praise God for such a beautiful girl. PS; Emily has loved the outdoors since she was a little girl. We're here at Mizzou. Emily's filling out paperwork & now we wait for the appointment. As we drove to Columbia I started to pray. Just before we exited the interstate I felt like a lion roared. I know goofy, right? But I remember going through chemo & radiation and writing the word roar in my journals to remind me I know who's got my back, walks beside, and lights the path. How perfect is God's timing sending an image of a lion roaring & riding beside Emily today. We're getting ready to leave for Emily's consult at the University of Missouri with their neurological team to see if she's a candidate for brain surgery. It's been a rough & tough six years with uncontrolled seizures for her. Praying that today we'd get ; answers, find grace, and have a bubble wrap of protection over each of us & the Sandymobile. Wowsies, I was blessed to have these two gals come for Infinity & Beyond teen class this afternoon. The project is faux stain glass pop art sneakers. I got them started & they worked, talked, laughed & used the studio like it's there own ♥❤♥❤♥ That's exactly what I hope for each time I open my garage door. To have my studio used to create & build relationships. Thankful for; families that bring their kiddos to classes, for kiddos who use my creative space freely, and for having a rapping Alexa 😂❤♥❤ Have a tween or teen who would like to get creative? The one where they went to Des Moines & the skies were filled with clouds to welcome them back. We left South Dakota Saturday & headed to Des Moines to see my brother. He encouraged me to go with him to see our mom. The grace was he introduced both Emily & I to her because she didn't know us. She told me to come closer and hugged me & Emily. She asked where my boy was. When we went to leave she whispered to me "will you be my friend I know you're my family but I need a friend". I've been crying since I left. My grace is Emily was there to pick up my pieces. Emily told me how I'm always so strong even when I should break I don't. She told me she's waited her whole life to be strong so I could be broken. Yes, I'm still sad & filled with emotions. But I'm thankful to have had a chance to see my mom, speak to her, and pray afterwards. I'm thankful for Emily who let her mom break into tears, reached in the glove compartment for napkins to dry my tears, and was brave, strong, and true. Thankful for; clouds that guide your path, allowing my big brother to lead the way, glimpses of my mom, and the strength of my daughter.
