What is your Tav’s greatest fear?

Right now? It's that no matter what he does, no matter how hard he tries, he can't keep Idri safe.

His second greatest fear is losing Rue. He already lost one son, losing the other would destroy him.

What is your Tav’s greatest desire?

For Idri to settle down so that he can go home and see his wife. He knows he has most of eternity with her, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to carry her into their bedroom and wear her thighs as earmuffs right now.

What is your Tav’s greatest regret?

He regrets not stepping in to protect Dru from Murlistras. While he knows it wouldn't have saved Dru and that he'd also end up dead in the process, the fact that he just stood by and watched as his father sentenced his son to death still eats away at him.

How does your Tav feel about love?

Malnatoth is a capital R Romantic. He is a misty-eyed sap, and a soft-hearted fool. If he was in modern times, he'd make a 20 slide powerpoint presentation about how amazing his wife is, about how talented his sons are, about why his baby sister has terrible taste in men, and also probably a few about couples he thinks are cute. He reads nothing but romance novels in his spare time. He carries around pictures of his wife and kids and will go on about them at length to anyone who makes the mistake of asking him about them.

What is your Tav’s favourite childhood memory?

The one that they turn to the most when they're in need of comfort is the memory of sitting in their father's lap while he worked on his reports. Dru never felt safer than when Malnatoth was curled around them, his voice rumbling against the back of their head as he read to them and explained what he was doing.

Their second favorite memory is when Enver Gortash asked them to dance at their 18th birthday party.

What circumstances led to your Tav becoming their Class/Subclass?

They wanted to be a contract broker when they grew up, and part of their formal training involved courses in Illusion/Enchantment magic. They can work the Weave as a wizard might, but they find it comes much more easily when they have a violin (or any instrument, really) to act as a focus/wand.

As for the violin... their mother taught them to play it, along with the piano, harp, and flute. She feels that its important to have creative hobbies to keep one's soul healthy.

Did your Tav have any romantic and/or sexual relationships prior to their illithid adventure? If yes, who was it with and what was it like? If no, how did they feel about being single?

Trashmouth was a hooker prior to getting kidnapped, so. Long list there on the sexual side. In Avernus, they learned very quickly that their time/body could be traded for favors, and they even made a list of all the devils in Zariel's court who might be interested in claiming "the last of their innocence."

Mizora got it, and hoooo boy, was that a wild night for baby Dru. They learned a lot about themself and regret absolutely none of it.

The only person they had real Romantic feelings about prior to BG3 was Enver Gortash, and that was mostly just a childhood crush. They still thought he was swoon-worthy right up until the Netherbrain got him. Such a shame. A waste of a good mastermind, really.

What was your Tav doing when they were taken by the mind flayers?

Clinging to Astarion's arm and thinking about how they were gonna sleep in a nice warm bed that night <3
