I know Cringe Is Dead but I Feel Weird About Posting So Much Bloodweave and Rolan Thirst and Also This Way I Have A Nice Way To Look At My Boys When I Need Them
Height gap romance except the shorter one is frequently depicted in situations where they are contextually taller. The taller one sitting while the shorter one looms over them. Both of them lying in bed with the taller one’s head pressed to the shorter one’s chest. The shorter one straddling the taller one’s lap and leaning down for a kiss. The taller one on their knees as the shorter one tilts their head up. Please, it makes me go feral
Zariel, Lord of the First, Archduchess of Avernus. Essentially a 10 ft (3 m) angel who got sick of heaven refusing to intervene against demons. Took a huge contingent to the first layer of hell and just started carving a swath through both sides of the Demon vs Devils war. Was corrupted because she'd rather be Evil and saving the world from demons than Good and doing nothing. "I did not fall into the clutches of evil. I rose to shoulder a cosmic burden."
She can turn invisible, transform into other humanoid species, make plenty of simultaneous illusions, and has a surprising amount of children. Odd given how she hates being drawn away from battle. After all, that eternal martyr battling the demons thing isn't just about her need for justice anymore, it's to drown out the regret of what she's become in the process.
Fun fact: I know that I'm a Rolan Stan, but I really, really like Lorroakan. He's a good villain, and I enjoy having him as a part of/foil to Rolan's story. I like his smug, smarmy face, and just think what kind of damage he'd do in an Evil Playthrough where you align with him against Dame Aylin.
Just think-
How long would it take for Rolan to hit a breaking point? Does he capitulate into self-loathing, or does he walk up to Dame Aylin, trapped in yet another prison, and look her in the eyes while scuffing the bindings enough for her to break free? How does Rolan rule the tower after that? Does he become Lorroakan2.0? Is he angry and scornful, untrusting of a world that saw him abused and did nothing to stop it? Or does the kindness we see in him on a good playthrough still come through, and he takes all his anger and pain and turns it into garden where other people who have suffered just as he has can grow?
Perhaps Rolan never breaks free of Lorroakan, and instead seeks power from another source. Raphael does love the desperate, after all, and if people are going to treat Rolan like a devil, then... well, why let them down?
Don't get me wrong; honestly, I mostly think about Rolan and my Dru building a life together and turning Ramazith's Tower into something like a community center where people can take free classes or hold organized events, but also...
I like thinking of all the ways Lorroakan can twist our boy into something awful.
Making a dumb comic and put this in the background but im so obsessed with it i wanted to share it here
(Going to do more art-blogging this year i think. Like, bloggin about doin art and postin wips instead of just dropping something finished once every fee weeks lmao.)
