#I LOVE ARTEMISIA AND THE REVENANT!! #fuck that bit about the goat was good :( #did take me a little bit to get immersed but i loved the dynamic between artemisia and the revenant SO much #i say aroace-coded bc it is a bit word of god but also she's never interested in sex/romance #also i kinda think artemisia might be autistic? #i am not so take this analysis with a grain of salt #but she struggles with social interactions especially eye contact #and at some points gets overwhelmed by certain sounds/smells #so i kind of read her as autistic but not labelled so because it's a fantasy book #also this is a standalone btw #vespertine #books #lulu speaks #lulu reads vespertine #2023 reads #margaret rogerson #i have so many more books to add to this tag but i am tired and will now go to bed goodnight

Vespertine really hit me right in the formative Bartimaeus trilogy feels which is the second time that Margaret Rogerson has done that to me and I love it
