Sailor Venus has escorted Zachery to visit Sun Valley Raceway to see Team Dinoco because he told her that in the Cars franchise, Dinoco is his favorite racing team and Venus kindly took him to meet The King, his nephew Cal Weathers, Cruz Ramirez, Grey the Dinoco truck, Luke Pettlework the Dinoco pitty, Rotor Turbosky the Dinoco helicopter and even Tex Dinoco the billionaire car. Go, go, Dinoco!

Hi! Any ideas on what happened to Roger Wheeler, the King’s crew chief? Did he retire or find another position in Dinoco because I don’t remember seeing him in Cars 3. Thanks?

He is currently trapped in my bag of unopened diecasts with Luke Pettlework because I ran out of shelf space to display them on.

But really, what ever came of him? Here’s what I think - 

He wasn’t ready to retire. “I’m not that old.” he says. “Still got a lot of races to win.”

However, he didn’t feel that crew chiefing at the Cup level for anyone else but Strip would be his scene. The two of them had been a power team for years, and Roger wasn’t going to settle for less.

After some negotiating with Tex and key business partners, Roger gets himself a team at the Piston Sippy Cup level. Dinoco’s the biggest sponsor on the track, yet they never had a feeder series team? Time to fix that.

Roger’s got a lot of racing wisdom to pass on to a younger generation, and likes a new challenge. It’s time to see how well old school techniques translate into the next gen world in a different series. 

He’s also got more time for lengthier vacations. He’s got a cabin in the Rockies on a lake. It’s time to go fishing.
