So what do you think of Jason Todd’s canon Green Lantern design from his Dark Crisis run? I like it but I also don’t like it because I would have never known it was Jason from that design.
Ps. Your Green Lantern Jason is absolutely gorgeous and I can tell with one look that it’s Jason and not some new character!
It's weird. I get the feeling that they wanted something very distinct and eye-catching for the Green Lantern/John's bubble world, so they gave the marquee characters these crazy design overhauls (see: Jason, Kyle).
What I love about the Lantern Corps suits has always been their iconic simplicity. Like, the suits are distinct enough between each lantern (who isn't just some background mob character) to give personality, but similar enough that they look good together and give the sense that they're a united corps. They're sleek, stylish, and striking, and hug each curve. Even Guy's suit with his snazzy little jacket still fits this.
Jason's Dark Crisis: World Without A Green Lantern outfit just feels so mismatched and clunky in comparison. And for some reason his duster coat and khaki shorts and scarf are like... brown? With red accents because god forbid you don't get that this is Red Hood lol. It doesn't help that the rest of the corps still has their normal sleek suits so Jason sticks out like a sore thumb. Kyle's full fantasy robes look is also odd but at least it sticks to the color scheme. It's kinda giving a bit of Guardians-chic. Kinda.
I get it. They wanted something bold and fresh for the crazy illusion world. Still feel like the execution could've been better, IMO.
Natasha Irons' Green Lantern look is pretty sick though.

Lair Review!
Five dragons for @santana-fr below the cut!
Tumblr media
Jaqen
I never would have guessed that chartreuse would go so incredibly well with crimson, but here’s living proof. And I don’t usually like scales, like, at all, almost never, but it’s very subtle on her!! It blends well with chartreuse’s accent color, and is hidden somewhat by the accent in the best way possible.
Speaking of the accent, wow. It’s incredible. Props to the artist for one but for two, the orange-gold accents on the body of it really complement the gold trimming on the wings and tie it into the almost yellow underbelly from the poison! The blue provides good contrast, and I love the way you’ve broken it up a little with the scarlet wooly coat. The flowerfall helps keep the whole outfit balanced, preventing the underbelly from being too prominent and out of place. Lovely dragon!
Tumblr media
Tuyet
It is. So hard to only choose five dragons of yours lol they’re all so lovely!! But Tuyet caught my eye because of her simplicity. You can’t even see her secondary, and I didn’t check her tertiary lol. She’s so pretty! The white/grey combined with the pale tans and browns is something I never would have thought of. The accent is one I actually used to have and didn’t like very much, but I adore the way you’ve utilized the cloudy wing apparel. It keeps it visible so that it doesn’t overpower the whole wing! The Ice Tome would usually be a bit out of place purely because of its green-blue edges, but alongside the blue in the wings (not to mention her eyes) and silver anklets it melds with the rest of the outfit astonishingly well.
The pearly earrings are really nice. I honestly was expecting the silver recolor based on the rest of her color scheme, but it’s a very nice touch! It’s slight enough to avoid being a centerpiece but different enough that it doesn’t blend in. And I’m always a sucker for antlers, lol
Tumblr media
Zale
Oh man. I saw him and was just blown away. The fins from his accent match the edges of the fin jewel apparel and make the lack of wing apparel irrelevant. The gold jewelry adds something I’m having trouble describing, something that stands out from the rest of his outfit without throwing a wrench into it. It helps to tie in the green in the accent without simply being more green.
Also, I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but the color of his spines and legs matches the silver in the fin jewels almost perfectly. Were it not for that, the silver lining of the jewels would be almost jarringly out of place.
And the stained is so subtle!! I didn’t think he had a tertiary at first, but when I saw that he had stained I went to scry what he would look like without it. The difference is subtle for sure but I really like it! It mutes his primary and secondary just enough to keep him from being brighter than his apparel.
Tumblr media
Aya
Again with the use of scales!! Not usually a fan but it’s well done here, giving her more expression. I absolutely adore the barbarian’s clothing on her; they’re definitely large, bulky pieces, but they keep her from being overtaken by just her primary and secondary colors. Beige poison can be super tricky to work with, so well done to you!! Keeping it in check from being too busy via apparel and a plainer secondary was a good move imo. (also, it brings out the flecks of green in the accent!)
I’m not sure if this makes sense, but in my opinion, the green ties the whole dragon together beyond just keeping her from being super busy; it’s as if you’ve taken the whole rainbow and lowered its saturation. The red, the “yellow” (beige), green, and blue just work together. A fascinating dragon all around.
Tumblr media
Tybalt I gasped aloud when I saw him. Noxtide is a top-tier gene, lionfish can be tricky, and I’m so, so weak for ghost, lol. The power pack matches the necklace and tail rings super well, and the ridged brows it gives him are perfect for the faceted eyes, as well as the ghost. It’s really-- I’m in awe of how incredibly well coordinated he is. The apparel matching the accent of lionfish, the underbelly of the lionfish being ever so slightly off from the color of ghost so they both remain distinct from each other yet still match, and the flowerfall and fairies blending in so well that, despite being on a spiral, he isn’t overly busy or hard to see in the slightest.

Secrets || P. Jinyoung
Tumblr media
Prompt: Secrets. Jinyoung has a secret and he will do everything he can to keep it.  (1) Genre: Romance, Angst, Sadnessssss
“Mama,” He called out to her, his small feet making pats against the wooden floor as he stumbled after her. His mother turned her head to look at him. Her purse was clutched in her grasp and her other hand gripped on to the door handle with such strength the tips on her knuckle’s paled her skin. Jinyoung finally made it to his mother, his small hands grabbing on to her coat. Tears dribbled down his flushed cheeks as he pawed at his mother.
“Mama,” He cried and cried. He raised his arm signaling to his mother that he wanted to be held. Where once his mother would have scooped him into her warm embrace, this time she didn’t. She only looked down at him with a sad smile, tears building around the rims of her eyes. After some time he lowered his arms and only looked up at his mother in confusion. She leaned down and laid a hand on his head, letting her finger’s move through her son’s hair in a soothing manner.
“Mama loves you.”
The door closed behind her with a sharp click and suddenly the house that he had always known to be warm and comforting seemed so dark.
He never saw his mother again.
He tried to memorize the way she looked right now. She was smiling so warmly in her sleep, wrapped up in his arms. The honey colored curls of her hair tickled at his nose but he couldn’t bring himself to move from his spot wrapped around her. He ran his fingertips over the smooth span of her back, tracing the dips of her spine over and over. The early morning sun bounced around the room and made her deep, ochre brown skin practically glow - she was an angel. He snuggled closer to her, wanting desperately to never move from this spot. He wanted to whisk her away and-
beep.beep.
The sound of his cellphone permeated through the room and he groaned as he had to move away from his girlfriend to reach behind him and grab the iPhone from its place on the bedside table. He didn’t bother to check who was calling, he knew only one person would call at this hour. Jaebum.
“Yeah?”
“That woman is trying to get a hold of you.”
He scoffed, it was entirely too early for trash news like that. “She doesn’t realize there’s a time difference?”
“she doesn't care. She says she wants you to call her as soon as possible.”
He rolled his eyes, sitting up in his bed. Vienne rolled in her sleep, unconsciously looking for his warmth and wrapped her arms around his waist. He smiled at the sight, tugging up the blanket to cover more of her naked body.
“Jinyoung?”
“Yeah,” Jinyoung cleared his throat with a cough. “I’ll call her when I can.”
He hung up the phone before Jaebum could respond. He knew his friend would be irritated and probably tell him off later but for now he couldn't give less of a shit. He tossed the phone back on to the nearby table with a huff. He moved back into a laying position and quickly wrapped himself around his girlfriend again. He didn’t want to think of anything outside this bed and the woman in it.
When he woke up he had 12 missed calls and Vienne was missing from his bed. He only glanced at his phone and saw the unknown number to know the bitch had probably found him. He yawned, stretching his arms before quickly clearing his call log. He didn’t want to be reminded more than he already was of the painful conversation he was going to have later. He quickly got up, grabbing his sweats that were conveniently placed on his dresser - he grinned at seeing them, Vienne always laid clothes out for him and sometimes he would ignore them to get a rise out of her but for today he decided to be obedient. She also laid out a black cotton shirt for him but he didn’t bother with it as he left their shared room and made his way towards the kitchen. Vienne was moving around the kitchen, her body only covered by an oversized t-shirt as she made breakfast. Her wild curls were a stark contrast to the simplicity of her outfit. He could feel himself grow hard by just looking at her.
“Baby,”
Vienne hummed as she stood in front of the stove; bacon and eggs sizzling in the pans in front of her. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her flush against him and running his nose along the curve of her neck and shoulder.
“Are you hungry?” She asked, leaning back against him a bit as his fingers played with the bottom of her shirt, rubbing the cotton material between his fingers as he placed sweet kisses along the length of her neck.
“I could eat.” As he said this a hand slipped underneath her shirt, trailing its way higher until he cupped one of her firm breasts.
Vienne scoffed, moving her hips to rub her butt against his crotch. “I bet.”
“What do you want?”
“You’ve been ignoring my calls.”
He could already feel a headache starting to form and he rubbed his temples with his other hand. “What do you want?” He didn’t bother answering her, he didn’t care if she knew he was purposefully avoiding her.
“Your father has been trying to reach you, he thought your fiancé might be able to get a hold of you-”
“You,” He interrupted, his tone sharp as he clenched his phone in his grip. “Are not my fiancé.”
“Say that to the engagement ring on my finger. Listen-”
He could hear the shuffle of paper and the clattering of something upon a table before she spoke again. Jinyoung turned his head to make sure that the light in the restroom could still be seen underneath the door and that Vienne’s soft humming could be heard as she showered.
“Soon you will have to come back, and I would prefer it if you didn’t embarrass me by bringing your whore with you. Tie up any lose ends an-”
“Shut up!” He snapped. “Don’t you dare talk about her that way, do you hear me? Don’t forget this is an arrangement, I owe you absolutely nothing.”
“You don’t owe me?” He heard her scoff and he could only imagine the smug look on her face. “You should be kissing the ground I walk on for putting up with you and saving your family from ruin.”
He hissed, his mouth twitching in contempt. “How kind of you. You make it seem like you aren’t getting anything out of it.”
She laughed. “You know.” Her voice perked up all of a sudden with so much sweetness it left a bad taste in his mouth. “This would all be so much easier if you would stop trying to get out from under daddy’s thumb and insisting on making friends with trash.”
He was losing his patience and he would have screamed at her, cursed at her, if it weren’t for the fact that he heard the water from the shower stop. He could vaguely hear her say something to him again before he pulled the phone away from his ear and ended the call. He quickly cleared the call log and tossed his phone on to a nearby table before falling back on to his bed.
The door to the bathroom opened, flooding light into the room and Vienne’s silouette outlined as she stood under the door frame. Her lithe body was wrapped in a fluffy, pink towel and he could see the droplets of water trailing down the length of her neck and disappearing underneath where the towel hid her breasts from view. Jinyoung watched her make her way to her vanity set, sitting down as she reached for her lotion. He got up from the bed, moving slowly over to his girlfriend. He wrapped his arms around her and pressed his forehead to the back of her wet curls.
He moved her hair away from the base of her neck and kissed the skin there. “I love you.”
Vienne looked at him through the mirror, her brow furrowing. “Jinyoung, is everything ok?” Jinyoung met her eyes and wrapped his arms lower, around her waist.  He pressed his face into her wet curls again and shook his head.
“I just want you to know I love you.”
Vienne gave him a soft smile. She rested her hands on top of his and squeezed lightly. “I know.”
“Mimi, can you move my 2 o’clock to 3? I’m gonna step out for some lunch.” Vienne said as pulled on her coat. Mimi nodded her head at her boss and started to pick up the phone. Vienne waved her goodbye as she walked out of the studio. She was lucky. Usually she would be booked all day with brides and grooms, trying to help them plan their dream weddings but at least once a week she likes to schedule her day light so she has time to eat and move around her appointments and not spend her meal times running around New York because a bridesmaid refuses to wear the designated color scheme.
She quickly made her way to her favorite cafe, it was conveniently placed a block away from her studio and therefore she was friendly with and well known by the staff. Jinyoung and her used to frequent the cafe a lot for desert when they had first started dating but they hadn’t had time to come like they used. She walked in and snatched up a table by the large window at the front of the shop, ordering a sandwich and a smart water from the waitress before looking to her phone to check her email.
New Mail
Nessa, A. : Can I schedule a meeting for tomorrow? I’ve decided that the beach venue isn’t for me and I need help choosing a new venue? Please let me know.
Vienne rolled her eyes at the message. Of course. She kissed her teeth as she tried to think of a time she would be able to squeeze in the meeting with the potential-bridezilla.
She heard the clack of heels but didn’t pay it any mind until the sound suddenly stopped in front of her table and she could feel another person’s presence. She looked up to see a woman looking down at her, silent but a smug smile in place while her eyes were hidden away by expensive looking sunglasses.
Vienne glanced around but no one else was paying any attention to them. She returned her brown eyes to the woman, her lips in a confused pout. “Do I know you?”
She was a beautiful woman. She had dark, straight hair that stopped symmetrically at her shoulders and perfectly manicured hands that took off her sun glasses to present one of the most scathing glares Vienne had ever had directed at her. She had on a white colored cape dress that probably belonged on a Chanel mannequin somewhere and dark wine red heels that made her look inches taller than her. The woman let her eyes trail over Vienne, a small scoff leaving her lips as they met eyes.
“No you don’t. But I know you.”
Jinyoung was making his way out of a conference call when his personal cellphone went off. He looked down to see the unknown number and he rolled his eyes before swiping to answer and pressing the phone against his ear. He nodded at his secretary to follow him into the elevator and she did so, pressing the 12th floor button as he spat into the phone. “What? I’m busy.”
“Your father expects you on a flight this coming Tuesday.”
Jinyoung chuckled in frustration, rubbing his eyes tiredly at her stupidity. “You aren’t so much of an idiot you’d think I’d actually go, are you?”
“Well I’ve taken care of any disruptions you might have, so I don’t see why not?”
Jinyoung paused, sucking in air through his teeth as he processed what she said. He could see from the corner of his eye his secretary look over at him worriedly before turning back to face forward. He clutched the phone tighter in his grip, the elevator suddenly felt too small and his chest felt so tight.
“What did you do?”
“I have to admit. She wasn’t hideous. She’s a cute girl and she catches on quite fast.”
“You bitch.” He spat. He could see his secretary jump from the venom in his voice but he didn’t pay her any mind as the elevator doors opened that second. He quickly walked out making his way towards his office, desperate to finish this conversation without the prying eyes that were watching him storm by.
“Tsk,tsk. Such language. I must have upset you.” She was mocking him. Jinyoung wanted to throw his phone at the fucking floor in frustration but he knew better. He would restrain himself, if only barely.
Once he had finally made it to his office- ignoring his receptionists’ greeting- he slammed his office door closed behind him, loosening his tie as he gathered his thoughts. “What did you say to her?”
“I di-”
“Tell me what you told her!”
He could hear her pause. They were both silent for a moment only the sound of Jinyoung’s heavy breathing could be heard.
“I told her the truth.”
The front panel of his phone broke away as it collided with the wall. The pieces falling in a scattered mess as Jinyoung gripped on to his chest. He felt like he was having a stroke, his heart was beating so fast and he had no idea what to do with himself. He was scared. He was scared to go back home. He was scared of going back and Vienne no longer being there. He was so scared of being alone without her.
It was like he was living a nightmare. He felt disorientated, out of place as he walked the steps to his apartment.
“Vienne.” He called out loud.
“I’m in here.”
In a perfect world the love of his life would walk out of their bedroom, a new dress on her frame as she called out to him to help her zip it up. He would chuckle to himself as he helped her, imagining the day the dress she's wearing is her wedding dress and about the family they would eventually start. The family he would finally have.
The world isn’t perfect.
Vienne isn’t smiling, she isn’t dressed in a pretty dress and she isn’t happy to see him. Her perfect full lips are turned into a frown, and her eyes have begun to swell from crying. She’s in their shared room, suitcases laid out on their bed and some of her clothes already packed away inside. He stops at the door frame afraid to move any closer. She ignores him, as if he’s not even there, and continues to move around the room packing things away. He just watches her for a minute or two, mustering up the courage to stop her, to say anything to her.
“Where are you going?”
She stops from folding a shirt, holding it in her grasp before she finally answers. “Away. I can’t be here right now.”
“Vienne. Don’t do this.”
Vienne scoffed, closing a suitcase and starting to zip it closed. “I didn’t do anything. The only thing I did was allow you to make me the fool.”
“Baby, you’re not-”
“You’re getting married.” She glared at him, her fury suddenly too much to handle. She had hoped that she would be gone before he even got home, that she wouldn’t have to face him. Just looking at him infuriated her. “You have a fiancé. You have a family when you told me your family was dead and you had no one. And I was the idiot that believed you.”
“You are not an idiot,” He moved away from the door, moving towards her until he stopped her from shutting closed her second suitcase. “They are not my family. You are my family.”
She rolled her eyes. “I thought it was weird.” She tugged the suitcase away from his grip and proceeding to zip it closed. “You never wanted to open up to me, talk about your past, you only ever wanted to know about me. Did you think I wouldn’t find out? That I would be happy being your little plaything forever? What if I wanted to get married.-”
“Then lets get married.”
Vienne hesitated, her face twisting in frustration and confusion. “What are you-”
“Marry me.” He moved closer until he was standing directly in front of her. “I know this isn’t the ideal situation or the perfect proposal but I love you, I want to marry you.”
“But your fiancé.” She moved away.
He wished she would jump into his arms, so that he could hold on tight to her because she's the only woman he would ever love. But he could see the tears brimming at her eyes as she looked away from him.
“You lied about everything. How can I trust you?”
“Baby no.” He rushed over to her, trying to cradle her face in his hands. “No, baby, no, I love you. This is all a mistake, I’ll fix it.” He used his thumb to wipe away the warm tears from her cheeks.
“Why didn’t you tell me? About your family? Why were you hiding it?”
He was at a loss for words he didn’t know how to answer her. He knew the reason, he didn’t want to lose her. He wanted to stay in the perfect little bubble he had been living in for the past three years. He didn’t want reality to come and ruin the happiness he had salvaged for himself.
“Please,” His voice wavered as he tried to steady the trembling in her body. She shook against him, tears moving over the perfect curves of her faces. Her lashes wet against the tops of her cheeks. Even in pain she was the most stunning thing he had ever seen. “Trust me.” He pulled her into his chest, cradling her close and rocking her as she cried. They stayed like that for a moment. Jinyoung closed his eyes as he tried to burn into his memory the way she felt in his arms, the gentle slope of her shoulders as he wrapped around her, the smell of pomegranates from her skin, the small brown curls that tickled at his nose as he pressed his face against the top of her head.
“I can’t.” Her voice was so soft, but he could hear it ringing through his ears. She slowly pulled away from him, moving away. He just watched, frozen as she moved around the room, collecting her things and leaving. His heart wanted to beat out of his chest, his hands trembled as he tried to steady himself. He wanted to call out to her, but he didn’t know what he would say.
The door slammed behind her and just like that he was alone again.
A/N: Why am I so heartless? Maybe pt.2?

Eli Infante’s lifestyle blog North of Man has grown from a personal style site into a full-on creative agency providing styling, photography, and creative direction to brands as well as other influencers. Well versed in the fashion industry thanks to his runway experience, brand collaborations, and modeling campaigns, he has shown time and time again that he can identify and integrate young, emerging brands — such as Computers New York, seen in his photo here —  with long-established brands such as Hugo Boss, another favorite from his feed.
“I enjoy a wardrobe that can make statements in a subtle way, but I also believe in dressing as vividly as possible,” Infante says. “This look, I would say, is one of many meeting points.”
We appreciate Infante’s eye for bringing together unexpected color combos, like this royal blue and black, as well as mixing outerwear by labels made up of classic tailored designs with those backed by a young entrepreneurial spirit whose designs are fresh. He keeps us guessing from post to post, and when we landed on this look — which at first glance was so simple, but upon further inspection was so skillfully assembled — we had to give him props.

Take one look at Bobby Hicks’ Instagram or YouTube channel and you’ll see this guy loves the outdoors. Outside exercising, outside with his girlfriend, or outside with his dog, there is one thing that’s always true: The dude looks pulled together even though his outdoorsy look is easy and effortless. Rustic style can quickly skew to a functional place and leave fashion out of it completely. Hicks repeatedly shows how to tackle time outside well, whether it’s the up in the mountains or downtown.
“I love living in NYC, but I'm happiest in the woods, and this outfit just felt right in so many ways,” Hicks says about his ensemble we chose as our favorite. “I basically live in jeans, but always love to create a color contrast against the blue of the denim, to find complementary or triadic color schemes.”
This quintessentially cool-weather color palette is timeless and likely to never go out of style. He adds of his look: “During the fall, it's magical because your environment can then complement your outfit in ways that you can't find in the city.”

One half of the brother-sister duo @theleisibs, Tommy Lei has an unlimited sense of self he shows off on his blog, MyBelonging.com. Whether he’s carrying a leopard print Jeff Wan bag the size and shape of a milk carton or stopping to pose with an iconic Versace print shirt tucked into his pink pants that perfectly match his hair, Tommy takes the laissez-faire attitude of Los Angeles and displays it for all to enjoy. But even in LA, outerwear can play an important role in his daily outfits of choice. We picked this understated combination due to its sophisticated simplicity.
“A shawl, wool coat is a great essential to have in any man’s wardrobe, so it’s paramount for me to invest in one that will stand the test of time and seasons,” says Lei. “The one I am wearing is from emerging LA-based label, Arcady, and their version of it is spectacularly tailored and just voluminous enough to be worn on both coasts.”
Another key to this coat’s success? Its camel hue, much like that seen in the post above, is a classic color that should be adopted by every man looking to dress well. Explains Lei: “Its camel tones are also particularly flattering on almost all skin tones and complexions, so naturally it makes second-skin styling that much more effortless.”

Go Retro With Phoebe Buffay!!
The Most Iconic Looks Of Phoebe Buffay From Our FavoriteTv-Show – F.R.I.E.N.D.S !!!
It’s no secret that 90s fashion is making a massive revival and the wardrobes of the Friends cast make up some of the best components!!
She embraces her status as “the weird one.” Phoebe doesn’t feel the pressure to conform to anyone’s standards of adulthood. She makes her own rules and encourages civil disobedience whenever necessary. But she’s rarely preachy. More often than not, she simply wants to do her own thing and have fun. She’s truly one of a kind, and that’s just the way she likes it.
“P as in Phoebe, H as in hoebe, O as in oebe, E as in ebe, B as in b-be, and E as in… ‘ello there, mate!” We can’t get enough of classic Pheebiesqe quirks, can we? From pulling out a fish tank from her handbag to stabbing a policeman, Phoebe Buffay from Friends is the epitome of crazy, badassery, with a hint (read barrel) of drama.
The Pinafores:-
Not only did Phoebe cotton on to pinafores way before they became a fashionable ‘thing’ but she also rocked them when nearly nine month’s pregnant. #Goals.
Bold & Statement-Making Coats:-
Phoebe’s style was always fun and playful and throughout the show she wore many statement-making coats. Arguably her most iconic number was the one she wore when she spotted Monica and Chandler in a romantic embrace and first learned of their relationship. The bright orange, faux fur coat was bold and in-your-face, but Phoebe managed to pull it off in the best way possible. Her coats were always unique and never simple, with either fake fur lining, animal prints or embellishments giving it that extra Phoebe touch.
Bohemian Babe in Fringe:-
Phoebe is truly a whimsical and care-free character, and her fashion and style choices reflects that. She wore this bohemian and fringe outfit that consisted of a white top and matching flowy skirt, paired with a brown fringed vest. With her signature bold necklaces and heavy jewelry, voluminous curly hair and natural make-up, Phoebe looked like the ultimate flower child. She has a talent for being able to take some of the most unique pieces and pair them together in a way that is reflective and true to her personality. Her outfits like this one show just how fun and playful she is, and how she truly marches to the beat of her own drum.
Lover of Fun & Bold Necklaces:-
One accessory that seemed to be a staple of Phoebe’s style was fun and bold necklaces. Regardless of if she was wearing a sweater, blouse, dress or t-shirt, she was always sporting a seriously impressive necklace. It is difficult to find an outfit that didn’t have the accessory on full display, and often was the focal point of her ensembles. Out of the leading ladies, Phoebe was the most willing to experiment and enjoyed playing around with her style. Much of her jewelry was eccentric and unique, which perfectly matched her endearing personality. Also one time Phoebe was wearing pom poms on her bags before you were born. Fact.
Black Halter Dress With Plunging Neckline:-
One of her most va-va-voom outfits Phoebe ever wore, this black halter dress with a plunging neckline was sexy and daring and demanded attention. She wore the eye-catching number when she was going to attend a party held by then ex-boyfriend Mike’s sister. Instead, she ran into former love David and never attended the get together. It’s no surprise that David was deeply appreciative of this sophisticated and edgy look. Her sleek blonde hair was worn down and she paired the dress with a signature necklace, a matching diamond-shaped number. Talk about a head-turner!
Chic Maxi Button Down Dress:-
Phoebe looked ultra chic and cool in this maxi black button down dress, that she paired with a white turtle-neck sweater she wore underneath. The simple black and white color scheme was different than the shades she usually gravitated towards, but the change-up was a fabulous one. With her multiple necklaces and shiny blonde hair, Phoebe looked extremely put together and effortlessly elegant. The super cute outfit was on full display when she had to break up a cat-fight between Rachel and Monica, by famously grabbing them by the ears.
Flowy & Feminine Dresses:-
Phoebe rocked many different outfits, and wore anything from overalls, vests, dresses and skirts. In the earlier seasons, she was a fan of many feminine and fun printed dresses. She looked gorgeous in a black and white polka dot dress and matching white boots at Susan and Carol’s wedding. The iconic pale yellow gown she wore for Ross’ function was hysterically paired with a giant Christmas ribbon. Phoebe enjoyed floral patterns for her dresses, that she highlighted with her famous accessories. The pink-and-white retro style dress and matching flipped out hair was also a very memorable dress Phoebe wore on the show.
Delightful in Denim:-
As with many of the show’s characters, Phoebe rocked a lot of denim combinations during the ’90s. Whether it was a denim shirt tied at the waist, a denim vest and dress or adorable overalls, Phoebe was frequently wearing the fabric. She always played up the simplicity of the denim with a fun pattern, like a floral dress, bold sweater beneath overalls or a fun skirt. The great thing about Phoebe is that she is not afraid to stand-out and draw attention, and watching her fashion evolve on the show was a fun ride for fans and viewers.
Queen of the Cardigan:-
Aside from her penchant for bold and fun accessories, the other fashion staple Phoebe sported consistently was definitely the cardigan. Throughout the show she wore cardigans in a wide array of colors, designs and patterns. Her outfit was instantly elevated by the addition of a cardigan, and she wore them with many dresses, t-shirts, skirts and blouses. The beauty of Phoebe’s style was that it was always eccentric and different, which made her fashion choices that much more exciting. Whether it was over-the-top or not, her outfits remain memorable.
The Prints:-
How could you prefer Monica’s loose-fitting jeans and shirt combo when Phoebe brings all the joy with her bright and colourful prints?
The Clogs:-
…And the flares, and the leather jacket; in this episode, Phoebe basically inspired this season’s trends.
The Touch Of Velvet:-
Not only did Phoebe play around with colors and styles, but she also embraced all types of fabrics. In the earlier seasons, she rocked many velvet ensembles that looked absolutely gorgeous on her. She often choose velvet colors that were deep and dark, pairing beautifully with her bright blonde hair. Whether it was a long, maxi dress or a long sleeved, slinky velvet number Phoebe knew just how to wear the fabric and elevate it. Who could possibly forget when she wore the blue velvet blouse and matching skirt to seduce Chandler, and get him to admit his relationship with Monica? Simply iconic. We can thank Phoebe for that, too.
The Maxi Skirts:-
So. Many. Beautiful. Maxi. Skirts.A skirt is the lower part of a dress or gown, covering the person from the waist downwards, or a separate outer garment serving this purpose.
The Wedding Dress:-
Because let’s face it, this Disney-esque wedding gown was SOOOO prettaaaay!! Phoebe never looked better than on her wedding day to Mike; she was truly a vision in white when she wore this form fitting gown with cap sleeves and corset-like bodice. She looked absolutely stunning and elegant in the silk, a-line dress and the gown paired beautifully with her blonde ringlets and matching tiara and veil. Though there were a few hiccups on her journey to saying “I do,” Phoebe ultimately got her fairy tale ending with the man of her dreams. The memorable wedding gown was perfect for the new Mrs. Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.
Hope Ya’ll Liked it, Have a Nice Day!!

The Cannes Red Carpet Was Extremely Fun This Year

The Cannes Red Carpet Was Extremely Fun This Year
While perhaps the most exciting fashion-related headlines to come out of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival were those regarding Kristen Stewart’s decision to walk barefoot up the red carpet stairs, the overall outfit lineup was also worth dissecting. Cannes definitely has one of the more exciting red carpets in the grand scheme of red carpets, likely a result of the legacy left behind by Cannes regulars (and noted fashion risk-takers) of yore like Diana Ross and Sharon Stone. This year’s offering was no exception. Eager to hear which style statements in particular caught other peoples’ eyes, I asked nine other Man Repeller editors and contributors to share their favorite looks. The below list is but a small sampling of the sartorial delights that ensued, though, so be sure to click through the whole slideshow and comment your personal faves as well.
65 PHOTOS click for more
1. Marion Cotillard in Adam Selman
Who picked this look? Harling Ross (me!), Fashion Editor
Why was it your favorite? Marion Cotillard has been crushing this year’s Cannes red carpet like a can of Sprite. While I originally fell in lust with her convention-flouting look featuring flat (!) lace-up Nicholas Kirkwood boots (remember when the film festival made headlines two years ago for turning away women who tried to wear flats on the red carpet?), this spectacular gingham number designed by Adam Selman was ultimately my favorite look. Not only am I extremely enamored with the concept of wearing bloomer-like shorts in a black-tie setting, but I’m also obsessed with lime green right now, so the accents on her outfit really hooked me. Separately, I am now officially in the market for a pair of red strappy high-heel sandals.
2. Ava DuVernay in Greta Constantine
Who picked this look? Nora Taylor, Managing Editor
Why was it your favorite? While far from the most dramatic look at the festival (she was supporting Spike Lee’s new movie) she just looks so dang good. The fit is perfect, the colors are amazing and really work for her and the lipstick tops it all off. It just seems like the perfect look for when you don’t want to be the center of attention but you want to casually remind everyone that you’re stunning.
  3. Lupita Nyong’o in Christian Dior
Who picked this look? Tahirah Hairston, Contributing Writer
Why was it your favorite? Is it safe to say that Lupita is the Queen of Cannes? I mean not trying to exaggerate, but who will ever forget that green Gucci dress that she twirled around in, effectively breaking the internet in 2015? No one. This year her outfits have been a little more subtle, but definitely still show-stopping. I’m always wary of dresses that have too much going on because I find they both look uncomfortable and try-hard, but in this Dior Couture dress with a cage-y sheer turtleneck top half and a ruffle bottom, Lupita looks effortless. Everything she’s wearing looks works together like a symphony, from the teardrop earrings to the hint of brick-red eyeshadow to the off-centered mohawk afro that adds just the right amount of edge to her very feminine look. Lupita truly understands the importance of doing the most, but also knows when she’s done just enough.
4. Laura Harrier in Louis Vuitton and Damaris Lewis in Off-White
Who picked this look? Amelia Diamond, Head of Creative
Why was it your favorite? Full disclosure: I don’t think this Louis Vuitton dress would have been my first choice had it been worn by someone else, but Laura Harrier can do no wrong in my book when it comes to style. Where the dress itself is concerned, there was something about the overall simplicity, the kilt-like wrap over the pleats, and the black ribbon in contrast against the peachy colored fabric that really called to me. It was pretty. It didn’t make a statement, but it’s a case of the wearer wearing the dress rather than the other way around — and because of that, the choice looks deliberate. She looks comfortable in it! Maybe I like this dress because it feels like something I would want to wear.
The real winner here, however, is Damaris Lewis, in a full Off-White runway look: the blazer, the biker shorts, the Off-White x Jimmy Choo shoes. She looks incredible, and I really have a lot of respect for anyone who can make the case for biker shorts in a black-tie setting.
5. Chloë Sevigny in Chanel
Who picked this look? Elizabeth Tamkin, Market Assistant
Why was it your favorite? First of all, she’s wearing Chanel, so it’s very hard not to have your jaw hit the floor. Regardless, though, Chloë is an icon and is one of those people who can transform any look into something special. The dress alone is beautiful, but on her, it has attitude. I also love how the fluted hem hits her lower leg at the exact right spot to showcase her pumps.
6. Thandie Newton in Vivienne Westwood and Donald Glover in Gucci
Who picked this look? Edith Young, Photographer
Why was it your favorite? I love anything that reinterprets classic textiles with contemporary imagery and this dress that Newton made in collaboration with Vivienne Westwood does just that: The elegant draping doesn’t reveal it immediately, but the print on Newton’s gown features Star Wars figurines from her personal collection — all the black characters to ever appear before her in the Star Wars franchise. Westwood made the gown sustainably, and if you need me I’ll be melting at the sight of Newton standing with Donald Glover, who is truly the definition of dapper in his powder blue suit and white Gucci loafers.
7. Kendall Jenner in Schiaparelli
Who picked this look? Juliana Salazar, Contributing Writer
Why was it your favorite? For someone wearing a completely sheer dress, I think Kendall looked really elegant. The over-the-top shoulders and tiered tulle ruffles convey an old-school, non-cheesy Hollywood glamour that you don’t really see anymore (or at least not often). Cannes Film Festival is probably the only place a look like this doesn’t seem too extreme, so I’m glad she went all-out. Also, please note the embellished seahorse on her dress and belt buckle. I do wish she was wearing different earrings here and black wayfarers but maybe that’s just me.
8. Jane Fonda in Valentino
Who picked this look? Claire Beermann, Contributing Writer
Why was it your favorite? Jane Fonda looks like she just stepped out of a 1920’s dinner party at her midcentury Palm Springs house, an atmosphere I find highly desirable. The coat resembles a robe, the dress reminds me of a (very fancy) nightgown. There’s something very sophisticated, glam and equally casual about it. She looks like this is her carpet while the others are merely her guests – and she exudes the wisdom and coolness of someone who’s never lost her groove. Basically everything I want to be when I grow up.
9. Stacy Martin in Chanel
Who picked this look? Claire again (she couldn’t decide!)
Why was it your favorite? This is a good example of how a relatively simple outfit can be transformed by thoughtful styling. I love all the tiny details: strappy sandals, red nail polish, flashy crystal earrings and cat-eye make-up and hair reminiscent of Megan Draper on Mad Men. More importantly, though, Stacy Martin looks like she got ready in five minutes — which I think is the best thing one can achieve on a red carpet.
  10. Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Mother of Pearl
Who picked this look? Haley Nahman, Deputy Editor
Why was it your favorite? I know I always pick the awkward tea-length dresses but I never get sick of how unusual they look next to everyone else’s floor-length gowns. I’m also having a moment with green (NOT lime green, which, sorry Haring, is the worst of the greens), so Phoebe’s dress stuck out to me for multiple reasons. I love how casual it feels with the low sandals, too, like she could pop over to a pool after and not look too out of place. It’s possible I’m just narcissistic because I would totally wear this, down to the complete lack of jewelry. I feel seen!!! You look great Phoebe!!!
