i keep having to remind myself to not make friends with random homestucks bc i think its a fact of nature that almost every given homestuck in my age range is a sworn enemy to 90% of all other homestucks and probably some segment of hs staff and/or ex-hs staff. and i just am not keeping up with who is who and such but god forbid i accidentally make friends with someone who already hates my other friends who like homestuck due to a myriad of unique and deeply loreacious reasons . So I bought the cream pigment set from the last Pleasing drop and they’re so interesting…the tubes are exactly the same as watercolor tubes, which is fun for me but probably not notable for most people. The magenta is SUPER intense and soooo beautiful, but it stains like a mofo. I mixed it with a little liquid highlighter and used it for blush yesterday, then mixed it with some lanolin lip balm and used that for lip color and I have to say…loved it. Mixing it mitigated the staining issue and made it easier to apply, but that perfect deep rosy pink still showed through. I love it. (I’ve not yet used either the blue or yellow because I don’t bother with eye makeup most days but when I swatched they were much less intensely pigmented than the magenta which would make them more user-friendly—however, it could be that they were slightly separated and I had more binder & less pigment for the swatches.)

#I also got the palette which is magnetic which I like since #I have a bunch of loose pans and pigments I pressed myself #but most people do not have a bunch of magnetic single pans #it’s also not super sturdy and oddly very deep for a makeup palette #like I could fit two layers easily but there’s only one #I haven’t played around with the actual colors inside much but at a first quick swatch #they were somewhat dry and not super pigmented #I’ll need to see how they do with primer or used wet #their feel is similar to MAC shadows #I usually prefer the creamier-feeling powders like lorac pro palettes #ANYWAY not to be a recovering makeup hoarder on main 😬
