i think hermitcraft should have the equivalent of that 'regular guy does the olympics as a reference point for how good the olympians are' where it's just like. person who plays minecraft often enough to know what it is but that's it. they're not bad at the game but they're not about to reinvent the block while they play. around them are feats of divine architecture and world breaking redstone and cinema level plot lines and meanwhile they are living in a lovely one story one room wood house, they just made themselves a diamond chestplate, they are having a lovely day wandering around and complimenting everyone else's builds and politely declining every other hermits' offer to build a base for them

Sebek/Deuce is the ship ever because like they are just peak Teenage Boys yknow like how sometimes Deuce does things that amaze Sebek and vice versa but at the same time they openly tease and pick on each other its just such a bro to bro relationship. you're in a bit of a dilemma- on one hand, you'd like to keep your job and your salary, but on the other hand, Foul Legacy always looks so sad when you have to leave, whining and tugging on your sleeve with his claws until you sit back down so he can snuggle into your chest. it's no wonder he loves the weekends so much- they're the only times you can sleep in and spend time with Legacy in the morning, waking up to his delighted purrs and coos as he nudges his head against your cheek

you hate disappointing him, but you also really need this job, so you steel your resolve and begin waking up earlier, so early that Foul Legacy's still fast asleep and you can quickly slip out of his grasp and out of the house. you always plant a gentle kiss on his forehead before you go, but the first time you did this he absolutely panicked when he woke up- he thought you were gone and were either in danger or had left for good!! when you came back in the evening you were immediately tackled by a crying Legacy, claws hooking on your clothes and arms squeezing you tightly- needless to say he refused to let you go that night and the next morning, and now you always ALWAYS leave a note for him!! he's more or less begrudgingly agreed to letting you go in the morning, and sometimes he wakes up when you kiss him and sleepily mumbles, drowsily nibbling on your fingers before falling back asleep and you have to keep yourself from squealing because he's SO CUTE

this just means that the weekends have twice the morning cuddle time!!!

yesterday my dog brought me a kitten in his mouth at the park??? it was so small, obvs I rushed it to the vet, came back and couldn't find any others, it's a pretty isolated corner (my dog barks at ppl so I take him there) so hopefully they're well hidden and cared for... called the vet just now and they said the kitten was only a day or two old!!!!!!! he's doing well but it's unlikely he'll make it... I named him immediately when I found him lmao.. Mishap, Happy for short (yes it's a ROTE reference but also a cute name).. if he survives I'm thinking of keeping him.. my dog chases cats a lot but I think it would be alright tbh, he's caught a cat twice (three times now), but he's never hurt one - one he just barked at, the second scratched him and he got scared, and this one was literally a tiny mouthful and he just brought it to me, didn't even hurt it.. I think if I introduced them properly he'd be fine living with a cat. and I can drill stuff into walls here so I'd put up platforms so kitty has lots of space away from him.

idk. I never wanted a kitten, only an adult rescue, but. when you find a kitty small enough to fit in your hand and rescue it. of course this happens lmao
