goncharov this, andrey that. why is no one talking about the fact that even after ice pick joe betrayed him, mario still tried to protect him and his younger siblings. mario DEFINITELY knew that the blow to joe's head killed him, but he still ordered his other men make it look like he was murdered by the ice pick killer to clear the suspicions surrounding joe, even though it was pointless.
like the way mario couldn't even look at his dead body!!!!!! he just walked away in silence. even though joe betrayed him, he was still mario's one weak point, and so he couldn't let joe's siblings know their older brother was a murderer. even though he was invited to the funeral, mario couldn't even bring himself to show up, and instead solely focused on trying to kill goncharov as everything fell apart
