I just noticed this detail, but I think it’s rlly neat. Nezha has pointed ears

I know there’s tons of fanart depicting the celestials and demons with more pointed ears compared to the rounder ears of the humans in the show as well as other media that includes Nezha, but I didn’t realize that his design kept that feature in the LMK

thoughts on the special??

Overall it was pretty okay but I wish they had given Pigsy some spotlight moment and the lil antagonism between him and Xiaojiao threw me off a lil like damn what happened?

I liked how they tried to tie everything together but Wukong and Azure didn’t have a lot of strong moments. It was also very much a Xiaotian vs Azure fight which I can accept but holy shit did y’all notice how MUCH SWK was holding back? Like he jsut FLICKED away Azure with a single punch while Xiaotian was struggling to hold him back

I also wanna see SWK’s war form even more now since Xiaotian’s is MASSIVE (confirming Macaque’s the weakest magic character seeing as even Xiaojiao’s dragon projection was stronger/larger than him)

Azure’s death was satisfying. Fuck that dude. Idc.

And then the shadowpeach was cute but idc much about their past I already knew they were close — HOWEVER! I loved the confirmation that SWK didn’t do this out of selfishness so much as he started off wanting to protect everyone and showed how traumatized he actually is. My god.

Also can I just say kudos to Wukong for breaking that cycle of abuse with Xiaotian? Azure was awful and then wanted to kill Wukong but Wukong, in training Xiaotian and becoming his family, kept being a good mentor towards Xiaotian and never tried to burden him by saying “you are the one who has to fix all this”. It’s awesome.

Overall 7/10!

Could’ve been better

Sean Schemmel’s performance was 10/10 however I fucking LOVE his voice lines idc

The fact that Nezha says "I think you burst a stitch" when Wukong hits him with the crayon interests me.

Like we COULD just assume Cartoon Bandaging Logic which is probably the most likely but also.

It's possible that one of these dorks actually knows how to stitch up wounds. Who do y'all think it is? (And it's not Wukong even though I'm sure he does cause Nezha was all patched up before Wukong was out of the scroll.)
