i am once again thinking about the "missing" scene from Les Miserables (1978) wherein Jean Valjean escapes from a coffin...I've seen gif sets of it, and the gist is that two versions of the movie exists-the theatrical cut and the tv cut. and one one of those is fully 20 minutes longer. and i've never been able to find the full version, literally anywhere online.

I am pretty sure the main reason LM 1978 just does not work at all for me is that everyone who loves it agrees that Perkinsvert is the highlight of the film and to me he just always seems like he's doing math in his head , which, while admittedly tying in well to Hugo's revolutionary theme that Math is Bad, is not particularly compelling to watch

The Generał Kazimierz Pułaski is one of two Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigates of the Polish Navy. Formerly serving in the United States Navy as the USS Clark (FFG-11), after her transfer to Poland she was named for Kazimierz Pułaski, who fought in both the War of the Bar Confederation in Poland and later the American Revolutionary War.

As the USS Clark, she was the US Navy's fifth ship of the Oliver Hazard Perry class, and was named for Admiral Joseph James "Jocko" Clark (1893–1971).

Ordered by the US Navy from Bath Iron Works on 27 February 1976 as part of the FY76 program, the USS Clark was laid down on 17 July 1978, launched on 24 March 1979, and commissioned on 9 May 1980. She was the second US Navy ship commissioned as the USS Clark. The ship sponsor was Mrs. Olga Clark, the widow of the ship's namesake.

Decommissioned and stricken from the US Navy list on 15 March 2000, she was transferred to the Polish Navy that same day.

The ship was commissioned the ORP Generał Kazimierz Pułaski on 25 June 2000

The Gen K. Pułaski is currently homeported at Gdynia (Oksywie).

i'm not sure i shared these here yet! if i did, please forgive me. i made these over the course of about 6 months. I'm going to write them what they are because the picture is sooo blurry. -I've been having these...notions (incorrect quote from Les Mis 1978, I punched out gold fabric to be the stars)

-You are the sentinels, silent and sure, keeping watching in the night (LM musical, i used seed beads as the stars)

-"There is no Monsieur le maire..." (LM 1978, this took fucking forever to do and it came out wonky!)

-"To love another person is to see the face of God" (LM musical. I had to do it to 'em. Added pompom trim to the hoop)

"You make beads here?" (Literally one passing line in LM 1978. It's so disgustingly blurry but I added random beads to the fabric. Also the fabric had been hand dyed and rinsing the stick-on pattern off stained the thread!!!)

The more I type the more I'm sure I posted these already. Too late and then again, they were a lot of work. I'm going to have such a swag dorm room in the fall.

In 1978 they were still at work on the Eastern and South Central Railways of India, and possibly the Southern, but were not the easiest locos to track down. On 2 January 1979, WT 14026 was in use on SCR local passenger services in the Rajahmundry area. For me, not having seen the originals in the flesh, they always gave me the impression of being a souped up version of the LMS Fairburn and Stanier 2-6-4Ts.
