(gehenna-calling) oookay i still haven’t listened to the mark songs from my last ask BUT let’s have a song for pory… a song that relates to her relationship with magic/being a mage, perhaps?

hehehe its ok im answering this instead of working on the mage game im ST'ing for LOL. The last one I posted is good for the general being a mage vibes actually so to give diff ones I'll give one as it relates to her Tower (arcana focus)

Her highest Arcana is fate.

This song is about how she always kind of suspected fate was a thing, things weren't random, and now she knows for sure cause she can manipulate it! Things have meaning, there are patterns, people have tendancies towards things - whether it's silly things like her Cabal Mate Alburich has a tendancy to find vials/potions, or darker like the cabal mate Alakazam is going to encounter a lot of corposes in his future. The point is, you can figure it out - calculate the entropy - and I think it can feel a littlelonely. Porphyria remembers a whole alternate universe that no one else does, where things were very similar but just a little different. She can remember fuck ups' that she undid time to fix, that her friends don't. Technically, she's therefore known them the longest, and that gap will always grow.

Yeah they're all very close but. YEAH. long time worries. wow ok this got deeper than intended. Nice pick, self.

For her second highest arcana currently - and this will change - its Time.

Lil Ol' Reliable arcana. Predictable. Check the future. Undo a few seconds. She's not the strongest time mage but its pretty foundational for her. She'll never lose her touch for time - even though myself OOC don't plan on increasing and, and I'd say even in character since porphyria Is Who She Is she knows that's not where her interests lie.

Whenever I level up i'll have to add a song that relates to mind or prime magic....

Here's a truly heartwarming story about the bond formed between a little 4-year-old girl & some construction workers that will make you believe that we all can make a difference when we give a child the gift of our time. A young family moved into a house, next to a vacant lot.  One day, a construction crew turned up to start building a house on the empty lot. The young family's 4-year-old  naturally  took an interest in all the activity going on next door and spent much of each day observing the workers. Eventually the construction crew, all of them "gems-in-the-rough," more or less adopted her as a kind of project mascot. They chatted with her, let her sit with them while they had coffee and lunch breaks, & gave her 20 little jobs to do here and there to make her feel important. At the end of the first week, they even presented her with a pay envelope containing ten eros. She took this home to her Mami and they took her 10 euros "pay" she'd received to the bank the next day to start a savings account. When the little girl and her Mami got to the bank, the teller was equally impressed & asked the little girl how she  had come by her very own pay check at such a young age. The little girl proudly replied, "I worked last week with a real construction crew building the new house next door to us." "Oh my goodness gracious," said the teller, "and will you be working on the house again this week, too?" The little girl replied, "I will, if those assholes at Home Depot ever deliver the fuckin' drywall. They also told me I would earn more when I got to be 13. Mami said the workers would play with me during their lunchtime and pay me much more."  

Sorta brings a tear to your eyes, doesn't it?

She was still an innocent virgin but was anxious to earn lots of euros.  Mami said she would make sure she would love playing with the men.

Mami says her daughter has grownup very well shaped, very smart and passionate. She is now 18 and makes lots of euros, some of which pays for the huge wardrobe of finest clothing vital in her society life among a growing clientele of elite rich men.

    5.  and that is how the little girl grew up so talented and wealthy

Moving to Halifax today

I’ve wanted to move away for school/job for over ten years and it’s finally here.

There’s a weird feeling of both concrete reality and surreality to this move for me. I planned it steadily and patiently and everything is in order...and now it’s FINALLY here??!?!!?

I can start a new chapter in my life in a place where (hopefully) there will be more things that keep me there other than friends and family. While important, in fact it’s often what people build their lives around, I’m still young (ish) enough to move around and find a better place and establish roots there.

Master of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) is what I’m going to work towards achieving and it looks like I’ll be able to be employed afterwards too.

Also, because this is the academic route I chose, I doubt that I’ll find work in Newfoundland. It’s hard enough to find work here littlelone in a place that threatened to close half the public libraries at one point and actually did institute a tax on frickin’ books.

I’m nervous and excited and can’t wait to leave! Only another couple of hours and I’m gone!

I wrote this really quickly and I gotta pack up my computer now so byeeee Tumblr until my stuff gets shipped up to Hali!
