okay so! this was... my first finished fic in literal years. i was super jazzed about it, very excited to be posting fics again, especially since i got to finally make use of an ao3 account i’ve had since... at least 2012? wow, wild to think about

it was like partway through writing this i came up with the idea for part 1 of the series, which seems to be how most of my fic-writing goes. welp.

in all honesty i don’t... have much to say about this fic that isn’t already in my ao3 notes! but i’m gonna try, so this blog has like. interesting stuff on it rather than just crossposted links of stuff people have already seen

“literal sleeping together” is a thing that appeals to me, personally, and apparently to a lot of other people, too! usually when my friends tell me about fics of mine that they liked, they mention this one in particular

this comes up in a few fics of mine, the way the rooms are set up is bruno is next to alfonse, sharena is across from alfonse, and the summoner is across from bruno. everyone’s close by each other! it. makes sense to me

lastly, i kind of vaguely allude to my headcanon of bruno NOT having been ridiculously ripped as zacharias (and that it’s because he’s trans and went on whatever the magic equivalent of t shots would be. some kind of spell or something maybe) because... come on. you’d recognize abs like those, wouldn’t you? just because someone’s got a mask on doesn’t mean you couldn’t recognize their body type or anything. i’ve also seen other people’s hcs involve longer/dyed hair which is also pretty valid imo. good shit. i love bruno fire emblem

favorite part:  “... I always wanted to stay,” Zacharias said, and with how his face was buried in blue hair, Alfonse felt it more than he heard it. He moved his hand from where it was resting on his bed to pat at the one on his hip. Zacharias jolted, probably assuming Alfonse wasn’t still awake to hear him.

“You still can,” Alfonse replied, voice surprisingly steady even as he was falling asleep. “If you want.”
