“Sweet disposition / Never too soon / Oh, reckless abandon / Like no one's watching you” This song is about letting yourself go. Viveka is the one who has the ability to make Lisette let loose. 

002. YOUTH KNOWS NO PAIN

“Mighty youth, here and now / So come on honey cut yourself to pieces / Come on honey give yourself completely / And do it all though you can't believe it / Youth knows no pain / Youth knows no pain” Song about doing irrational things even though you know it won’t end well, or at least the probability is against you. These two have made some pretty questionable decisions, which is why it’s on the list.

003. SHATTERED & HOLLOW

“We are going to get out of here / Run from all the fears / Follow what we once held dear / When will we get out of here?” Life doesn’t always go according to a pan but you can’t let it get to you. There might come a time when these two aren’t friends or just don’t have the other to lean to. That doesn’t matter because in the world you just have to get through the worst things.

004. BRIGHTSIDE

“I can’t be around you.”  Lis bit her lip when the words came from the blonde’s mouth the second she opened the door “I- Yeah” Lis said nodding “I know. And honestly, you’re completely right in doing so. Just- ” she took a shaking breath pulling the sleeves of her shirt down more over her hands has she tried to come up with words to explain herself “I really should of written this down damn it.” she let out “I just- I fucked up ok? Like pretty bad. Ever since I met you I’ve just been fucking up again and again and I know that. So there’s really no way you should say yes. But- I thought I was doing it for this ancient thing that was so much bigger than myself and it made sense then.” she said not even looking at Gaia as the words flew out of her mouth. “But it doesn’t really make sense.. It doesn’t make sense. And it likely never made sense but I always just thought I was better turning blind eye and...” she finally looked at Gaia “I wanted to ask- if I could have another chance. I don’t know what number that would be... but it’s to many more than I deserve likely and..” Lis run her mind trying to think of something to add also finally taking in a breath. “No that’s it..”

Fucked up. There was a statement Gaia had never imagined hearing from the princess. It was those exact words that made her turn around to look at the brunette. She listened to each trembling word coming out of her mouth and bit her lip. It would be more than easy to grant her that chance, all cautiousness cast to the side. But it was Pedro's words that kept her from just forgiving and walking up to the girl. ‘She cutting ties was the best thing that could happen to you.’ Her grip on her arms tightened and she  cleared her throat. “Yeah, uhm, I don’t know,” she managed to get out of her mouth. “How is this time any different from the last one? Or the one before that?”

This playlist about the hurricane that their relationship is. Nothing is too easy, feelings change like the weather and no matter what they don’t fade, but bitterness grows. Northern Lights is about the first time things ended between them. It was a tough call and left both of them a bit nostalgic but most of all, unhappy. Dying to Know is actually the song I have named our plot after! It’s definitely a post-breakup song where the other person is, let’s face it, bitter. And a bit pathetic. It’s also about wanting a proper closure, good reason & a reaction from the one who left. Poison is rather self-explanatory: “I pick my poison and it’s you / Nothing could kill me like you do / You’re going straight to my head”. It’s a song where both are pretty hopeless when it comes to the other. Especially for Lisette, Gaia is a weakness, only something that will mess things up. Someone who makes her act against better judgement. Water Under the Bridge is a song about a relationship where the other is too big of a coward to actually see things through. While I’m sure Adele is singing about someone who won’t say the three words, I felt that it fit these two quite well with Lisette’s behaviour and fears. Sugared is the purest love song on this list. Where the two previous songs had a slightly negative tone to them, Sugared has none of that. While it can be interpreted in many ways, the reason why I placed it on this list ( is because I wanted a The Crash song here ) is because the feelings they have each other, the positive & genuine ones, actually make them happy. Give their life some positive content & keeps a smile on their face. Under the cut are some excerpts from the lyrics!
