the way charles has had to deal with max's cold shoulder for years, so when he sees the reader actually getting through to him, he is happy for max. he is happy max is letting someone in. he is happy that max is getting the love he deserves

but it's so bittersweet because it makes charles start wondering if his love wasn't good enough or if he just wasn't good enough for max😭and he doesn't wanna complicate things further even though the reader is his soulmate too because max deserves that happiness, even if it is at his own expense

Gen would go apeshit insane at first, blaming Reina saying she didn't look after darling properly. Gen would kill Reina during this as well, I think Gen was so deeply obsessively in love with darling, she would go the whole nine yards. After going insane she'd go through a manic episode before her brother calms her down, which then results in her completely shutting down, for the first time ever she would take a week off from work due to the fact that all she can see in her head is your blood on the ground, a suicide note laying neatly on a nearby table.

Gen wouldn't kick the bucket however. I don't think she'd be that type of yandere in my eyes, she definitely would be put under watch however for a little while but at the end of it all, Gen would'nt be the same, to her you were her soulmate, you were the thing that made her wake up in the morning with a smile on her face. After your death she won't be as joyful anymore, she'll smile less, she does turn into a robot yes, she won't ever try to find love again. It's not like she found love before you to begin with, you were her one and only and now you're gone, so what's the point of being happy anymore?
