#like what does that have to do with evil possessed copies of sonic games
sonknuxadow · 1 year
Note
It's because he's super popular with Sonic.exe fans. If I had to guess why, I'd say it's since he's basically just Sonic possessed by an evil being, which is also what a lot of Sonic.exe iterations are
he was already popular before that big sonic.exe resurgence though so that can't be the full reason i dont think? like i was already seeing the name misconception and stc super sonic showing up in a lot of fan content years before this stuff happened. hes just more well known among people who arent actually sonic fans now

You think Sonic is an overrated character? Then which character in the game canon do you think is the most overrated of all?
One word: Mephiles.
Everything about him is nowhere near as great as the fandom hype would have you believe. His design is really uninspired, and there’s not much point in him copying Shadow’s appearance since he doesn’t even do much with the concept. His personality is also lacking, as his entire characterization consists of him doing things for the evulz and laughing evilly about them. Any potential motivation beyond that is purely up to speculation, as we never see any other side to Mephiles himself other than For the Evulz.
But his plan really highlights why the character is not as amazing as he’s claimed to be. Let’s go over why Mephiles’ elaborate scheme is less sturdy than a tower made of Jenga:
His manipulations are only successful because the characters have been turned into idiots, regardless of their previously established intelligence. Meaning that the plot had to rely on everyone acting completely stupid in order for the villain’s plot to go anywhere other than nowhere.
Mephiles has the ability to warp all of the Chaos Emeralds to where he is as indicated by the Last Story. You would think someone who had such a ridiculously convenient ability would make immediate use of it, yet he doesn’t.
There is nothing within the game itself that suggests that Mephiles couldn’t rejoin with Iblis whenever he wanted.
Mephiles had no reason whatsoever to waste time convincing Silver to go and kill Sonic when he could - and later on, did - do the deed himself. This is doubly annoying because up until the Last Story, there does seem to be an established concept of Mephiles being physically weak despite his powers (which would make sense since he’s the consciousness of Solaris, whereas Iblis is the raw power)… but then the Last Story comes along and ruins that idea entirely by having him whip out a giant laser that he never used at any point beforehand.
His side hobby of goading Shadow to his side is equally pointless and results in nothing other than reinforcing Shadow’s own beliefs (and also becoming a victim of slapstick comedy courtesy of Omega). And given his nonchalant attitude about the whole thing, indicating he wasn’t too bothered about his failure to sway Shadow, why did he bother spending so much time with Shadow in the first place then? Because… evil? Even Black Doom had his reasons for focusing on Shadow.
Mephiles’ widely praised action of killing Sonic only succeeded because Sonic was randomly distracted by a light that Mephiles conveniently summoned out of nowhere. It’s an insulting death for Sonic, and it’s an unimpressive way to kill a hero for Mephiles. If you had to kill Sonic, surely you would have him:1. Know anything about his murderer other than “I noticed he looked like Shadow. Except I didn’t, because that was Knuckles who noticed that.”2. Do the classic heroic routine of Mephiles aiming at Elise, only for Sonic to take the hit, as that would highlight not only Sonic’s noble side, but also Mephiles’ penchant for cunning.
Mephiles didn’t even need to get Sonic out of the way in the first place because if the reports of Elise’s death in Crisis City are anything to go by, her OWN death is enough to make Iblis get out of bed. So Mephiles could have went straight for her, and he would have gotten what he wanted a lot sooner. But then again, as I already mentioned, there is nothing within the game itself that suggests that Mephiles couldn’t rejoin with Iblis whenever he wanted.
When he finally does rejoin with Iblis to become Solaris, he makes the sound decision to toss the Chaos Emeralds over the time-space abyss like javelins when he could have kept them in his possession. This is one of the exact reasons for why Sonic’s friends were eventually able to revive Sonic and turn him super, which directly contributed to them rendering Mr. Hylian Shield a dead man.
His ultimate objective is to cause the end of all existence. Typical objective for mindless monsters, but why is Mephiles hoping for this? What is he expecting? Does he want to float on his own in nothingness for all eternity? Or would he too cease to exist? Either way, it’s a pretty stupid end goal for someone who is set up to be a master schemer.
And yes, I’ve heard the popular fan justification that Mephiles is insane, and that he was meant to be written that way… except no he wasn’t. It was bad writing, plain and simple. If you have obvious intent for your villain to be a smooth and suave mastermind, you don’t then proceed to do everything in your power to make him look like the biggest dumbass imaginable. Insanity isn’t an excuse for his poor showing anyway, as there are plenty of villains in fiction who are actually insane, yet still pull off genuinely clever feats. (Funnily enough, as if by contrast, the flaws of his spiritual successor, Infinite, are clearly intentional, and yet everyone still wastes no time in criticising HIM harshly… so why does Mephiles get a free pass?)
Mephiles is a character and a villain in the way that Sonic Chronicles is a game. Promises so much, boasts so much, ultimately leaves you with nothing.

Final Fantasy Sonic X
Let me tell you all about a flash game/movie I just played. It was called Final Fantasy Sonic X. Where I found it was a site called sonic galaxy. A site where I go to play weird Sonic themed flash games when I’m waiting for things to load on my computer. This wasn’t like the other games that I’ve seen on that site, though. This turn based rpg was like 2009 jumped out of my computer and punched me in the gut.(disclaimer: I couldn’t actually find what year this was made, but it reminded of the stuff I’d see online around 2009.
Anyways, I’m gonna give the bare-bones of the story, and if it’s something that makes you curious, you should go look it up.
Intro- Soma Cruz from the Castlevania series is running away from something. He makes a remark that someone named Cain is trying to get a sword that Soma currently has in his possession that has the ability to open something known as The Gate. Left with nowhere else to go, Soma sends the sword (which so happens to look like the Buster Sword from FFVII) through a portal, hoping that it won’t fall into the wrong hands before being electrocuted by a Metal Sonic. Somewhere else (what I’m pretty sure to be a background from Megaman 7) Tails finds the sword.
Act 1- Sonic has the copy and paste, “I had a dream that alluded to me going on an adventure, and it caused me to over sleep,” intro that half or more of the rpg’s that you played as a kid had. You know the one. Amy is the one to wake him up. When Sonic does finally wake up she says, “Thank Chaos!” which doesn’t really make sense because he was one of their enemies, and why would you want to give praise to one of your greatest enemies? All that aside, she tells Sonic that Knuckles is over at Tails’ house and wants to see him right away.
On the way to see Knuckles and Tails, Sonic is stopped by Shadow, who insists on a battle. Sonic defeats Shadow, and Shadow vows to have revenge on him. When Sonic finally get to where Knuckles and Tails are Tails shows Sonic the sword and remarks that it didn’t look like something you could buy at a store. He has all of that fancy, scientific tech and all he was able to say was basically, “Well, I don’t think you could pick up one of these at Wal*Mart.” Anyways, after that he throws it at Sonic, like violently throws it, and tells Sonic to keep it safe for him.
Act 2- Two seconds after this transpires, Shadow runs in, tells Sonic that he’s already given up on his revenge, and that Amy has been kidnapped. He and sonic run off to help her. When the two see one of the people that took Amy, a black Maverick from the MegaMan X series known only as Assassin, they promptly get their butts handed to them on a silver platter, before the Maverick yells, “Long Live Lord Cain!” and jumps away.
Two unknown people, a red question mark and a blue question mark, talk about how they saved Sonic and Shadow, but had to build Sonic a new body. Red quetion mark tries to be Auron from Final Fantasy X, but just sounds like a total dork. Sonic wakes up, and it’s revealed that the red and blue question marks are Zero and X (MegaMan) respectively. Sonic then does something that everyone else usually does to him, mistake them for someone else, and accuse them of doing horrible things. once things are cleared up, they tell him about his new body, and let him test it out. X give some soliloquy about Sonic being the chosen one, ect, ect. You’ve heard this before. What’s great about this part though, is that when Sonic figures out how strong his new body was, he starts laughing manically, and X’s only response is, “Whatever.”
Act 3- Where would be the first place this rag-tag group would go to look for the evil Lord Cain? Why the kingdom of Hyrule, of course! But, before that, everyone needs to sleep. Rather, everyone else sleeps (kinda. Shadow looks likes he’s praying to the other two who look like they just rusted up and toppled over or something) while Sonic looks wistfull, at the moon, and blaming himself for Amy being taken even though she was the one that kicked him out of the house in the first place and even if he was there he would have lost anyways. Suddenly, a giant image of Amy pops up and yells, “Here I come!!” really loudly.
The next day the group is going through a forest on the way to Hyrule when a purple MegaMan looking robot runs by and yells for them to follow. They do so with out question, right before a yellow Maverick and a giant Metal Sonic. The Maverick says something about needing to get a disk back from the purple guy.
To be continued...
There is also an extra part of the story where basically Soma punches a Metal Sonic in the butt-hole and kills it and another DBZ style.
That’s pretty much it. There are others in the series, and I kinda want to play them. As corny as it was, this game gave me a big feel of nostalgia. It seemed like something that 11 year-old would think of (not in bad way), and I would have probably fangirled all over this if I found it when it first came out. Give it a go if you want

4-6]Hey dears Here I finally done a reference of my Tamber  I wanted to use colors close to the anime ones. (By ‘Anime ones’, she’s saying she was trying to copy the Sonic X color scheme.)
(Oh yeah, we’re going there today.)
Buenas Tardes, everyone. I’ve been procrastinating on making this review for almost three weeks now. No hedgehogs were hurt in the making of this review.
Her swimsuit can also be different, not only red She can have pastel colored swimsuit. (Pastel is not a color.)
EDIT: Added some informations and NEW re-drawn reference sheet, better designed than before! (Are you sure about that?)
Hope you like and it can be more useful! ouo (Useful for what? Don’t tell me you thought there would be fan works for this monster.)
Tamber Mizuki / 水月 ・ タムベル (Tamuberu Mìzukì) (I don’t understand why you desire so badly to be Japanese. Stop that. It’s not cool.)
The current ''opposing'' (meaning the appearance) reflection of Maria for Shadow. (Nope, no, no no no no no. Stop that, no mirrors allowed. Stop. Stop.)
Complete name: Tamber ''Alexandra-Sophia'' Mizuki. (If your character is so “anime desu-ne”, why can’t you stay consistent with you names? This is just a bunch of your favorite names smashed together with no real meaning.)
Name: Tamber (タムベル) -Tamuberu-
Surname: Mizuki (みずき) -Mìzukì- (Mizuki can be written 水月 too. It means ''water moon'', in fact 水 is the kanji of ''water'' and one of the various meanings of 月 is ''moon''. She controls wind/air and with this power she can control water too creating ''bubbles'' through the atmosphere.) (AUGH NO THAT’S NOT HOW THAT WORKS STOP IT. THIS IS A SONIC OC FUCK OFF WITH YOU MAGICAL POWERS)
Nicknames: Tamby, Tam, Mizuki-san/chan, Tamber-san/chan, Tammi, Tama/Tama-chan/Tenshi, Tamber-sama, Senpai.
Tumblr media
Age: 20 (YOU’RE 20 AND PEOPLE STILL CALL YOU SENPAI AND TENSHI??????)
Motherland: Lolimus Island, land of the winds. Lolimus is one of 6 close secret islands, in the Pacific Ocean, near Japan. (obviously, these islands are imaginary). (Why can’t you animu OC creators pick somewhere REAL to live for once?)
Current Residence: Central City in Sonic Universe since she was 6/7 years old (That’s not cliche at all.); Snowdin in Undertale Universe since she was 7 years old. (WAIT JUST A MINUTE)
Eyes: Red (Ha ha, it’d be so edgy if she made her hair bla-)
Hair: Black (Shit.)
Height: 166 cm
Weight: 116 lbs (She’s almost 10 pounds underneath of the minimum average weight of a girl that tall. What the fuck.)
D.O.B: 24 July (National tequila day AND national drive-thru day.)
Zodiacal Sign: Leo
Blood Type: 0+ (I think you mean O+.)
Sizes: 97-65-89 (Christ, she’s a size large [12-14] in the bust, and a size small [4-6] in the waist and hips. I understand that not all proportions will be the same size, but holy hell, that’s a HUGE difference.)
Bust size: around E (I hate that to you, this just means ‘big boobs’. Let’s think about this for a minute. Tamber is 5′4. She’s a size small in the hips and waist, but a size large in the bust. Her cup size is E, making her bra size 38E. Above all of this, she’s AT LEAST 11 lbs. underweight. This body type is extremely improbable, almost completely absurd.)
Favourite Food: Sushi, Udon, litchi fruit, cupcakes, strawberries, lollipops, puddings, Pocky, macarons, donuts. (THIS IS THE MOST ANIMU DIET EVER. MOE MOE DIABETES.)
Bio: Don't be tricked by her usual outfit, she loves black and gothic dresses too. She likes this kind of outfits but she also likes pastel colored clothes with cute kitties or just cute images. <3
Tumblr media
She is a quite and beautiful girl, kind and fascinating. (Ma~ry Su~ue *clap clap clapclapclap) She born in a clear night, with a big full moon. (Why does this matter?) Since the death of her family, she didn't and couldn't smile properly and she was a inespressive  girl to everyone (Smiling is a natural human reaction. Even when faced with grief, someone who is completely mentally stable should still be able to smile.) (like Yuki Nagato from Suzumiya Haruhi if you know her).
Tumblr media
She was traumatized loosing people she loved a lot and being bullied a lot at school because many girls were envious of her.
Tumblr media
She is intelligent and crafty.
Caring and kind with everyone, she loves stay with friends, but often she likes stay at home alone. Drawing and cooking are two of her hobbies.
She has always admired very much her sister Hana since she was young: for her, Hana was a point of reference She was legated very much to Discharge too, she always has protected her little sister (You heard that right; someone named their child Discharge.)
Tamber used to have longer hair (like her sister Hana) when she was young (she let it grow since she was 6, when she thought to have lost her family), then when she turned 16 she got the hair that she has now. (She didn’t cut it or anything, it’s just magically like that.) Her body always has been pretty skinny, besides her chest when she grown up. (nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh)
Sometimes she could be very impatient and grumpy: impatient above all when she has to go to save one of her friends in danger or when she wants to do immediatly something (”Aw man, your life is in danger? Look, I don’t have time to be a caring friend here, I have a life to live. God, you just have to be in danger. Now I have to go save you. Ugh.”); grumpy above all when she is irritated by people.
She is also a girl with two personality. She is a Yandere, and she would literally kill for the persons she loves and/or for her own love.
(Let’s clear something up together, shall we? Dissociative Identity Disorder, or DID, doesn’t exactly make someone into a violent, dangerous person. Normally it’s the opposite as a lot of people who have it were abused at some point in their lives in a way that makes most people who have it passive. That’s not to say that there aren’t violent cases of DID, but when there are, it’s likely one of the person’s alters. They don’t see themselves as the same person as their alters. Most of the time, the anger and aggression is targeted towards the inside, and they can be abusive and aggressive towards the alters in the inside world [Matulewicz, Crystalie. “Dissociative Living”]. Dissociative Identity Disorder does not turn you into a possessive “yandere” who would kill someone in cold blood. That is an inaccurate representation often shown through movies and games.)
-Extra curiosities of bio: she is the portrait of her mother about the face, but the black hair are from her father.
Weak points: when somebody tells bad about her, her love, her family and her friends... and maths (I don’t believe someone talking shit about you is a weakness.)
Relationship: It can be variable since I have not a main couple anymore, I have more for other series I love! Lightbulb
Tumblr media
-Shadow the Hedgehog Robotnik (boyfriend and future husband)
Tumblr media
-Yamaru Midori (boyfriend) (belongs to TheBoss5095)
-Jack Spicer (fallen in love with him) with Xiaolin Tamber in my personal Xiaolin Showdown story-
-Tamber x Phoenix/Ryuuchi (Ace Attorney -not posted in DA, only in my mind)
-Tamber and Sans (Undertale) living along with Papyrus and afterwards Frisk too, as ''family'’.
Tumblr media
Alignement: Neutral (since she is a Yandere, she is very sweet, but evil if something to her loved people happens)
Formation: Speed/Agility. (SHE IS WEARING A MINISKIRT AND FLATS.)
Dere character type: Yandere
Tumblr media
Power: Psicokinesis and wind control (she can manage the wind, and with this power she can control water too, creating ''bubbles'' through the atmosphere. This reminds also the meaning of her surname. Even some members of her family has this power as well.). (Stop. Stop. You are a Sonic X/Undertale character. That is enough. Say no to drugs.)
But they are a bit additional, she doesn't use them very often besides dangerous moments, she lives her life as a normal person.
Likes: Her family (relatives, parents and her sisters), her love (occasionally. There are other characters I paired with her from other series in my stories), animals (above all cats and birds), the good of the others and japanese food.
Hates: in Sonic story Metarex, Black Arms, Dr. Eggman, Amy Rose (Tamber considers her a bit annoying.) (As do most Mary Sue characters who are married to Shadow.) and in Undertale story Mettaton (she considers him too vain). (Mettaton. That’s it. She loves EVERYTHING ELSE.)
Story:
--I have and I write here the two main stories (I have more couples with my character too!)--
 --My Sonic universe story--
Prologue: Tamber born in the island of Lolimus. She has lost her family and her sisters Hana and Discharge when she was 6. At her 6th birthday, a quite day as the others, is happened a cataclysm in her land. In the mess on this cataclysm, she has lost sight of her parents but at least she was taken by hand by her sister Hana (at the time, Hana was 8 and Discharge was 4). When they have taken also the little Discharge, they ran away again. When the sisters were out of the castle, (Why was she in a castle??) Hana has made that she, Tamber and Discharge could escape from it hiding and then going to the Central Island. But something is gone wrong: the cataclysm made a big disaster and the bidge they were crossing broke. Tamber could arrive in the other side, but Hana, before falling totally with Discharge keeping theirselves with an hand to the cliff, has begged her to promise her this: to be a strong girl. (An 8-year-old would not say that before dying. An 8-year-old would say “AAAAAAAAAAAA”) Infact when Tamber was young, she was too shy, defenseless and closed, she never reponsed about anything. Tamber could not help them and she regreted it for her entire life. She thought to have lost her family forever, but she found out they were still alive. (How does an 8-year old and a 4-year-old survive falling off a bridge? That’s a common method of suicide, y’know.)
The meeting with Shadow, her future love, happens to Prison Island. (How did she get to Prison Island?) Tamber and Chris were trying to seach Sonic. (She’s like 20 years old. How did she meet Chris? Why is she hanging out with a little boy on a dangerous prison island?) When Shadow creates the Chaos Control to save Rouge from the explosion of Prison Island, Tamber and Chris were in the same room of Rouge and when Shadow is appeared, he was immediatly ready to teleport him and Rouge. Rouge didn't want to leave the others but Shadow didn't care them. Tamber begs Shadow to bring them too away the Prison (How does she know who Shadow is?). She has finished the sentence with the famous words ''I beg you Shadow'', Maria's same words (EW. EW NO. YOU NEED TO STOP RIGHT NOW.), and Shadow notices that Tamber was too similar to Maria Robotnik. Space Colony ARK, the place where Shadow and Tamber were able to share the love. On the ARK it's happened an incident where Tamber, while she was esaping with Shadow, she got hit/''shooted'' from behind. She sacrificed herself for the others to save them and send them in the safe part of the ARK. Shadow never forgot the expression of Tamber after the sacrifice, and before that she was falling down.
(Hold on a minute. So, Tamber, at the end of everything, is 20 years old. She was born on an imaginary island in Japan, but escaped to Central City at 6 years old. She stays here long enough to meet Chris and Sonic, and goes to Prison Island to live out the events of SA2. How is it, then, that she was at the Space Colony ARK with Maria and Shadow 50 years BEFORE the events of SA2? She wouldn’t even have been alive, and there’s nothing here that states that Tamber ever left Earth. It makes no sense at all.)
After that, Shadow disappeared into the incident on the ARK (Sonic Adventure 2), Tamber, survived, was no longer the same, and enrolled her in an army for the defense of the planet Earth during the battle versus the Metarex. (WHERE DID SHE FIND THE TIME TO ENROLL INTO THE ARMY???)
(infact she has enrolled to it because she wanted, of course, to save the family. When she enrolled, the army discovered that there were various prisoners too into one of the Metarex's spaceships, in fact the Metarex talked to her personally about her family. For them they were ''one of the precious powerful resources'' to use to control the universe -They are an ESP family, so they were pretty powerful-
Behind the scenes hint: Her sisters has been ''rescued'' and then kidnapped along with the parents. Her family has been captured by Metarex during the cataclysm caused by them, triggered by them for the conquest of the Universe. ((Metarex attacked this part of the Earth for a Chaos Emerald there.)). (I’VE NEVER BEEN THIS CONFUSED WHEN READING AN OC PROFILE. EVEN MYSTIC WAS EASIER TO UNDERSTAND THAN THIS.)
She met Molly, another girl enrolled there. That time she has met again Shadow for case <3 Glad to see him, she has tried to talk with him. But she saw Shadow did not remember anything of her. Tamber, upset, has tried to do anything to make him to remember. For a bit of time, she has been at his side. The final battle was there and the main base of Metarex was near. Many soldiers died, Tamber's new friend Molly too. She was even more upset, confused.. she lost another friend, Shadow still didn't remember and the family was still kept on the base. She was in the panic and she wanted to attack the Metarex. When she wanted to attack trying to commit a sacrifice, like she has done on the ARK, while going near Shadow, randomly, did the same expression of that time and Shadow has remembered everything.
Tumblr media
Many shots attacked Tamber, but everyone thought that she got hit. In reality, she disappeared in the base and Shadow, being upset, attacked by himself the Metarex. (I’m so fucking done with this OC and we still have another biography to get through.)
Tamber and Shadow met again each other at the end on the Blue Typhoon. It was thought that Tamber was dead (Again), but escaped (Again) with a fake fragment of a Chaos Emerald that Sonic gave her time before, when they were on the ARK. In the end, the family of Tamber was saved, and all thanks to Shadow too <3 After all those sad moments, Tamber passed good times with her sisters Hana and Discharge, finally after many years <3
Tumblr media
After some years, Tamber and Shadow married and they had children: Maria ''Noriko'' Mizuki Robotnik, Corinne ''Aya'' Mizuki Robotnik and the littlest Mia ''Kuri'' Mizuki Robotnik  (These nicknames make no sense.)
Tumblr media
(They had them when Shadow, by mistake, became an human because a strange machinery created by Eggman, and during those years, he and Tamber had their daughters before Eggman would have found an opposite machinery.)
“This explains Diddly Rosquatnik” -Mod Meganekko
And the ''adventures'' are not finished yet (*CRIES IN SPANISH*), they will pass good moments with friends after many time, like the Blackmoon family (belongs to 7marichan7 <3) and the family of Samarah (belongs to BubblyFoxy <3), the families that Tamber knew already (she is best friend with Mari and Samarah since they were more young <3), (I don’t understand why this matters.) where Maria, Corinne and Mia will find their best friends; the meeting with Silver, the future hedgehog, (which is thought he is the possible their fourth son) (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO), Blaze and many others. <3
(Sorry for this long story, but I'm not good with brief summaries and I have prolonged >n<')
Tumblr media
 --My Undertale universe story--
Prologue: Tamber is the real third ‘’secret’’ child who fallen down. (So she dies. Excellent.)
When Tamber was a child, at the age of 7, fell down into the UNDERGROUND because she didn't like the surface. (Are you fucking kidding me?) She was bullied at school, which made her a morally weak person and one day she lost her family in a fire of her house set by some people that used to bully her. (Being bullied at school is certainly tragic, but no group of schoolkids will go as far as to kill the victim’s family.) She was desperate so she didn't know what to do with her life. Toriel found her when she fallen down, which was friend with Tamber's family (when MONSTER still lived on the surface) and she recognized her because she looked like to her mother, Toriel and Asgore’s childhood friend. (Toriel and Asgore were both alive during the war, yes, but Boss Monsters live much, much longer than humans. The war took place a looooooooong time before the events of Undertale, so if she was the third soul, then that would mean that the monsters would’ve been locked underground for quite a while. Her parents likely weren’t even born until after the war.) Toriel could not keep her at her house that time so she asked to Gaster if he could keep her and making her maybe  ''sister'' for Sans and Papyrus.
Tumblr media
MONSTERS would have killed the human, but Toriel and Asgore warned the citizens she was an exception due to the friendship the two goat-guys had with Tamber’s parents years before. Little Tamber joined the ‘’skeleton family’’ (few years later Gaster disappeared, they started to live alone in the house).
When she just arrived in the skeleton family's house, the tv was turned on and was telling about the recent news about the surfare and it shown even the disgrace of Tamber's family (they were the rules of a pretty big country near the Mt. EBOTT): the news told that no bodies of the 5 of the family had been found (Of course not, her family always has to survive to see their little demon-child all grown up) -In fact, many years later, she will meet her sister Hana, which lived her life on the surface (and which Papyrus will fall in love with xD)
Tumblr media
and her other sister Discharge, before going to meet Tamber after knowing about her after the barrier broke. Little Tamber fell asleep due to her desperation before she could hear about the news, so she never knew about her sister alive.
Tamber, growing up and during the years, started to be very strong morally and ever managed to use magic (she managed to use gaster blasters above all as final attack, and her main shoots are floating muskets-like, shooting rays); (UGH, UGH, UGH, UUUUUGH)
She made friends with Undyne (helping her with cook), Aphys (having same ''otaku'' interests), and fallen in love with Sans.
Tumblr media
She has a double personality (she is very sweet, but she is a yandere), which properly appeared due to her bad experiences and she got it from her mother too: she would litterally kill to protect Sans and the other people she cares about.
She loves bad jokes, cooking and staying along with friends, Papyrus and above all Sansy. (End my life.)
Tamber hates humanity like Chara did, but when Frisk arrived she seen that some humans could be innocent too and not only like the bullies she used to face off. (She was the THIRD SOUL. She would’ve had to see four other humans run through the underground before Frisk. FRISK WAS THE EIGHTH SOUL, TAMBER WOULD’VE BEEN ANCIENT BY THE TIME THEY CAME THROUGH.)

We keep in mind the Sega Dreamcast, 20 years on - CNET
Disney World thing, seeing the last gasps of 1990s interactive games, and there it was. That Sonic Experience demo with the whale chase-- incredible to enjoy and dreadful to play.I wouldn't spend any quality time with the Dreamcast up until at least a year later on, however seeing that display was impressive for the time. At that point I still simply had a Genesis, so even a short glance of Sonic looking halfway-decent in 3D was a discovery. And no, Sonic 3D Blast does not count. Though I never purchased one myself, a buddy did, and it ended up being the go-to console for sleepovers and lost Saturdays. The mix of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Power
Stone, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 which dreadful Chao Garden function from Sonic Experience 2 was more than enough to keep us playing that Dreamcast until long after it had actually died and everyone else carried on. Plus, its huge controllers were still better than the dreadful DualShock 2 on the PlayStation 2. That's simply a fact. Now playing: See this: Remembering the Sega Dreamcast at 20 Scott Stein I had every Sega system that was ever made. Yes, even the 32X. I was a Sega kid-- the Master System with Superscope 3D glasses was
my present after getting appendicitis. While the Genesis was my preferred, the Dreamcast is a place of special memories I
was residing in
LA, working as a script reader and story editor, and playing amazing NFL 2K video games to get in touch with my inactive sensations about the New york city Jets. That NFL 2K game stunned me ... it was the first TV-real sports game I 'd ever seen. Crazy Taxi was my LA commuting treatment. I loved the weirdness of Chu Rocket. And much more, I was obsessed with Seafarer. My very first E3 I ever attended had the Dreamcast, and I saw the Leonard Nimoy-voiced fish-man in all its Lynchian scary. Seaman was so ahead of its time: It had a microphone I might talk to Seaman with. It resembled if Alexa were a depressed cannibal fish. In my dusty little Sherman Oaks house, Seamanwas my
mystic surrealist fish tank. In addition to the Museum of Jurassic Innovation in Culver City, it was part of my cabinet of curiosities that made me imagine how weird art might be. Area Channel 5, the remarkably real-feeling Shenmue, and yes, I owned Typing of the Dead. It was a great system of video gaming oddities. The Dreamcast was little and magnificently developed, had arcade-perfect games, and was my first real online gaming system.
May it rest in peace in my mom's basement.Rez Infinite is a modernized variation of the Dreamcast classic. Other than the graphics, very little else was changed. Dan Ackerman The Dreamcast was
the first console launch I ever covered as a beginner "video games journalist" at the long-forgotten (however pioneering!) games-and-culture site UGO.com. My colleagues and I all spent for launch day bundles, and Soul Calibur was everybody's instant favorite. We all wound up playing a great deal of meeting room Soul Calibur with UGO's most well-known staff member, previous kid star Gary Coleman. Gary was a total fiend for Soul Calibur, and frequently held court in our Park Opportunity office, taking on all challengers and giving unlimited foul-mouthed garbage talk. He was really pretty excellent, and probably had an 8 out of 10 win ratio.Other early Dreamcast highlights for me consisted of Power Stone, Shenmue, a Local Evil knockoff
called Blue Stinger( I bet I'm the just one considering that a shoutout), and bizarre fish simulator Seaman. When my now-wife utilized the Dreamcast microphone accessory to inform Seaman she was going to consume him, he replied," Or maybe I'm going to eat you." If that's not next-gen, I don't know what is.I've come back to the Dreamcast a couple of times because its 2001 discontinuation, discussing it on my old talking head video game web series Play Worth( circa 2006), and taking a deeper dive for the Dreamcast's 10th anniversary, which I blogged about here. Would I buy a brand-new
" Dreamcast Classic "micro console? Definitely. Would I plug it in more than as soon as or twice? Probably not.Tim Stevens My Dreamcast memories are a little different than the majority of. Like Scott I was a Sega kid and, like Scott, I too owned( and still own) every Sega system. But my memories of the Dreamcast weren't a lot about video gaming as they were about coding. Lots and lots and great deals of coding.I was in college studying computer science and
composing when the Dreamcast dropped, and my dream was to combine those passions and get a gig in the videogame market after graduation. It was time to select a senior thesis, therefore I blindly emailed some folks at Sega to see if there was any way I might get consent to write a simple game for their hot new console.Amazingly, I got an action. As it turns out I would not be allowed to
develop anything for the Dreamcast-- the advancement hardware alone cost thousands of dollars and I was lucky if I might manage pizza on Friday night-- but I was admitted to the Visual Memory Unit designer package. The VMU, you might keep in mind, was the small, Game Boy-looking thing that slotted into the controller. It had a small, gray and black LCD, a four-way D-pad and a number of buttons.Games for the VMU were written in assembler, an arcane language I 'd never ever been exposed to in my research studies. If that weren't daunting enough, the
only documentation for the VMU package remained in Japanese, another language I didn't speak. In spite of all that I figured it out over the list below few months, then labored and labored and toiled to compose what would be the first-- and to my understanding only-- multiplayer VMU video game. You could, you see, connect two of the mini handhelds together at the top thanks to a cunning, reversible connector. I composed a Pong-like video game played vertically, with the ball taking a trip from one screen to the next, back and forth. Establishing that game, plus another simple, Simon-like video game, consumed my senior year at school. The resulting code, when printed out for my final thesis discussion,
filled a binder as big as a phone book. Along the method I learned enough about the game development market to recognize it wasn't for me, however that project, just me and my text editor toiling for months, is still the programming task I look back upon a lot of fondly. The recently remastered version of Shenmue. Jeff Bakalar I was 17 when the Dreamcast released and was working for a dotcom start-up run by 3 21-year-olds. I remember the day it went on sale
, among the partners bought it for same-day shipment
from a service called UrbanFetch. It showed up and we didn't do any work for the rest of the day. It was just nonstop Ready 2 Rumble. I recall being instantly pleased with how crisp the visuals were. It was a level of fidelity I hadn't ever seen before. Whatever appeared so fast, so innovative
, so futuristic. The Dreamcast showed up in between the other console cycles, so it seemed like we were getting a really early glance into what the remainder of the competitors would quickly be providing. I didn't end up owning my own
Dreamcast till college, however I ultimately fell for Sonic Adventure, problems and all. I played many of the Burial place Raider and Local Evil video games on the Dreamcast too. The Dreamcast will always have a place in my heart for its ridiculous memory card adapters, its primarily horrible controller and the outrageous speed at which its disc reader would spin and change, like some type of dot-matrix printer that went off the rails.Jason Parker I never ever actually owned a Dreamcast, but for a duration in my life, I could not
get enough of one video game: Fighting Vipers 2. It was while I remained in college and among my good friends had a Dreamcast, so when we were not out in the evening or studying, we 'd invest hours fighting match after match. The funny thing is, it wasn't called Fighting Vipers 2 as far as I knew at that time.
My buddy had a
bootlegged copy on a disc and whatever composed on the sleeve remained in Japanese, as was all the on-screen text in the game. I even had to count on him to launch video games because I couldn't navigate the menus. At the time, he discussed the video game wasn't offered in the States, however it didn't officially pertained to Dreamcast till 2001 and never in the United States. Now playing: Enjoy this: Our most cherished video game memories. 8:00 Once he started a match, it was button-mashing paradise. I remember being blown away at the crisp 3D graphics and cool-looking fighters at that time. But the best mechanic of all, and most likely the greatest factor I loved the game, was that you might kick your challenger through the wall of the arena at the end of the match. Possibly that sounds ridiculous, but fighting games in between good friends can get tense. When you can send your pal through the wall at the end of a long fight it's an exclamation point like no other. We
'd get significant about it too, shouting" Boooooooom!" as we 'd blast the other person about 50 lawns beyond the cage. No, I didn't own a Dreamcast, due to the fact that I was a poor college student, however I still have
fond memories of stomping out my good friend in Great Buddy 2Battling" You're going through the wall! "Jet Set Radio on the PC, running at 2,560 x1,440 pixels with mostly the very same possessions as the original, still looks terrific. Sean Keane The Dreamcast was the most amazing console I never owned. Games like Homeowner Evil: Code Veronica,
Sonic Adventure and the mighty Shenmue, and functions like online video gaming and the VMU made me want one terribly, however I simply couldn't manage it as a 12-year-old. Code Veronica looked unbelievable
at the time of its release-- replacing fixed prerendered environments with completely 3D ones and bringing n't rather satisfied ... but it's fine. I'm fine.Sonic Experience appeared like an extraordinary growth of Sega's mascot into 3D, even if it's misery to play today. That whale chase looked fantastic
at the time and it seemed the obvious advance for Sonic after Mario's wonderful transition into 3D. Shenmue was the big one however-- a remarkable life simulator with an abundant open world that was extraordinary. Seeing Ryo Hazuki wandering around Yokosuka, Japan, as he tries to unravel the secret of his daddy's murder was remarkable, and something I just got to experience fully through the current remaster. Eric Franklin I bought the original Japanese Dreamcast from
" http://www.ncsx.com/" target =" _ blank" data-component=" externalLink" rel=" noopener" > NCSX back in November 1998 and got 2 video games: Pen Trilcelon and Virtua Fighter 3tb. While Pen Pen was and still is dreadful, VF3 was anything however! Why did I pay a premium to have this system imported? I was a Sega fanboy and the Dreamcast was where I might continue playing Sega video games beyond the defunct Sega Saturn. But as much as I enjoyed playing the Dreamcast, recalling now, it's clear to me what it truly represented for me: A last possibility at console success for Sega. I got a Sega Master System in 1987 and from then through the end of the Dreamcast's life I was not just bought playing Sega video games, however also extremely invested-- emotionally, to be sure-- in Sega's success as a console designer. It's most likely unusual for people to comprehend
that, however here's the way I saw it: The more effective Sega's consoles were, the more terrific Sega games the company would make. I not only wished to play those video games, however to likewise have other people discover how excellent they were. To see in them what I saw in them: Games with great graphics and simple gameplay that belied a depth you had to reveal. You could play Crazy Taxi like a normal individual,
sure. But if you didn't use the Crazy Dash and the Crazy Stop, which allowed you to go from 0 to 60 in less than a second and quickly stop, then you weren't playing it right. That desire and require for the Dreamcast to be successful was genuine.
Even at the time I knew that if the Dreamcast didn't offer a particular variety of systems, Sega would likely leave the hardware company, which the business eventually did. And the anticipation of each brand-new big release was addictive for me. It was less about how much
I would like Shenmue and more about whether it would push enough mainstream audience buttons to make people purchase a Dreamcast over a PS2. It's ridiculous to think of now, however that was me. I think I simply required something to distract me from my genuine life at the time. For a couple of strong years, it was the
Dreamcast. Presents for the player who has
