honestly, i’ll be Realistic. i know that asking stranger things to actually make steve/nancy/jonathan a Canon Polyamory ship is A Lot to Ask For, specially ‘cause it’s in the 80′s (tho, we all know that means nothing bc open relationships have existed since the beginning of time probably) and also bc ultimately the Point of this show is about kids friendship & familial love & monsters & An Open Love Letter to the 80s -- not these three teenage kids i happen to have fallen for but

i still feel like i should’ve had some sort of Nod to the fact that they can be more than just ur Basic Love Triangle -- they did in S1 so all ya’ll had to do was repeat that same idea. 

I really thought I could see them all hanging out more, i know that nancy & jonathan shared more of a traumatic experience but at some point steve was there too & he Knows shit too so why would it become a Thing that only nancy & jonathan share?? Why kick steve our of the picture? Why split him & them, having steve still be a secondary-ish character with the kids & stuff? (its like youre physically punching me in the gut) 

They were AMAZING in the end of S1 so why yall gotta go & pretend like thats not something that can happen again? They’re literally the only teenagers of the show, why wouldnt they hang out & do stuff together? (Listen, nancy DIDNT have to go all on a quest with jonathan, yall just couldve let steve “apologize -- which i know he didnt have to but still -- & then join jonathan & nancy. It would’ve provided u with either 1) Fun times 2) Awkward angst about how nancy Has To Pick bc she lives in a Monogamy-normative world or 3) All of the above -- specially bc if the theorist fuckhead had done his whole number on ‘’Analysing Nancy’ ft. Jonathan’ in front of steve it would’ve been like x10000 times better -- plus you would’ve get to make fun of the whole ‘love triangle’ aspect of it bc i know the theorist guy Would Have) Nah man, instead yall had them split without it being organic, really & pushed the triangle down people throats, succesfully making it awkward for both shippers of joncy & stancy (idk if thats the ship name for steve x nancy but yall get it) -- & idk if theres anybody out there who ships jonathan x steve but if there is, im so sorry for u buddy (they literally only speak to each other One [1] Time & its in the background of a shot lmao Tragic™)   

All i’m saying is, you dont have to open S3 with a shot of nancy walking down the school hall holding steve’s hand on one hand & jonathan’s in the other (tho i would Die as Hell) but please, for the love of god, let the three of them be together more. balance their whole relationship if you want people to buy into the triangle BS -- make it interesting by having the boys Bond, make it different, make it organic & Not More Of The Same, or just, please, with cherries on top, make them polyam
