Hey, it's ♤ again, (Spades/Ace, I use either) and oof, sorry to hear about your hair with Florida weather (even tho I have no idea how hair works)
You did great with my random Florida request!!
aaah thank you!! I can actually explain somewhat about the humidity sucking up moisture :3 I took a science class and it was. really only interesting for that one unit
so I only guessed it was spades cause im a dirty homestuck fan, I actually reread homestuck recently and I read all of it in a month. haven't read the epilogues or the pester quest stuff and I do not intend to sowwy
okay so, molecules (can't remember if its just air I general or air parcels) want to reach what is called dew point temperature, that is where they are perfectly saturated with water and form condensation! If they have too much moisture they want to drop moisture to condensate, or they want to suck up moisture to condensate. Those are essentially the two states: drop moisture or gain moisture to condensate.
The temperature aspect is usually that they need to be low temperature, usually ranging from 0 to 5 degrees celsius.
With high humidity, it just means there's a lot of moisture in the air. Because it's warm, the only way for them to condensate is to both lower in temperature and to also reach a reallyyyy high amount of moisture. As such, it will suck up moisture wherever it can, and that includes my hair sadly

Well, forgive me, Victor. But I am a pilot. And meteorology is like one of our basics. 😌👩🏻‍✈️✈️
Now that we're talking about meteorology, here's my list of my top 15 favorite meteorology trivia that I learned in flight school! (Don’t know if I’ll be adding more, but thanks for reading!)
Lightning causes thunder. Aside from the theory that light travels faster than sound, lightning is actually the reason why there is thunder. Lightning is caused by ice pellets in the sky that "bumps" one another that causes electric current; and thunder is the sound that was caused by this "bumping" incidents.
Just because you’re from a country that does not experience snow, doesn’t mean that there is no possibility to encounter ice in your area (well, in higher altitudes, at least). As mentioned from the previous number, lightning is caused by ice pellets in the atmosphere. As altitude increases, temperature drops; hence, encounters with ice pellets in higher altitudes is not strange. This ice pellets are actually “freezing rain” that usually fall to the ground in water droplets already (again, due to the temperature change). Most of the time, you’ll be able to figure out that there are ice pellets by seeing towering cumulus or towering cumulonimbus clouds which also has flashes of lightning appearing since that’s where the most turbulent of weather is being formed.
Lightning is not actually the major reason planes crash these days. Planes do conduct electric current, hence lightning. But, planes now have a countermeasure for these flashes of light that gives way for the presence of static wicks on planes (either found on the wings and/or tail section); it is through these wicks that lightning/electricity exits after traveling through the airframe of an aircraft without completely damaging its skin, primary and secondary controls, and its avionic system. Though it leaves markings, but not much to cause primary concern. After all, 7,000 planes in the US alone are said to be hit by lightning every year.
Having said that, turbulence is also not actually the major reason why planes crash. Turbulence or air pocket (as they announced it on board as a euphemism of the real term) or the sudden updrafts and downdrafts in technical terms may put you at an unease. Believe me, even the most veteran ones are also edgy (well, my FI does when I have the controls and we came across some turbulence that he instantly had held on to the controls, too); but pilots in control can handle this (we get used to it in time as some body’s instinct). Turbulence cause a sudden change of altitude of decreasing or increasing a hundred of feet or more. But they are perfectly normal. But nothing to worry, turbulence hasn’t caused a plane crash in over 40 years. Most incidents nowadays are caused by human error. However, studies suggest global warming could cause it to be worse by 2050. And if you want to avoid experiencing turbulence, better fly in the morning!
Most of the weather exists on the troposphere so we fly higher, on the stratosphere, if our planes can handle such heights (and if ATC had accepted though). It is usually flight level 350 (35,000 feet) or more for commercial flights, not because they can and because it is cool to be above the clouds but there's lesser chances of encountering weather there! Most of our day-to-day weather phenomena occur in the troposphere.
Temperature and wind directions exists because of the Earth's unequal heating. There's a so-called actual lapse rate that states, for every 1,000 feet, temperature drops by 2°C from standard conditions. Standard temperature is at 15°C, hence the higher you go, the colder it gets. But it isn't always 15°C in sea level, just as pressure is not always 29.92" Hg. Resulting then for differences and deviations with the wind.
Clouds are formed due to the difference in temperature and dewpoint. No need to explain temperature because we probably all know it, but dewpoint is perhaps a new term. Dewpoint is the temperature at which water (water molecules in the air) begins or would begin to condense. Imagine them as bubbles floating in the air that as temperature rises, they expand. Due to this, clouds form; because they are not fluffy cottons hanging in the sky but area of turbulence (light to strong ones), thunderstorms (if they are thick and tall), and area of hail or ice pellets (for higher altitudes where these molecules could freeze up). So, by the time that temperature and dewpoint draws closer to one another, rain begins. Trick in finding the cloud’s base is by subtracting temperature and dewpoint, dividing it then to the 2.5°C/1000ft  . (Ex. 34/24 = 34°C - 24°C = 10°C / 2.5°C/ft  = 4; in short, 4,000 feet is the cloud’s base).
Thunderstorms have its stages and its own recipe. Not just the mere water cycle but something way much more than that. It has three stages known as: Cumulus Stage (defined as continuous updraft movements of the wind); Mature Stage (defined as when rain begins); and Dissipating Stage (defined by continuous downdraft movements). And, thunderstorms will not be formed without these three: unstable moist air, lifting action, and high moisture.
Rain at night means clear blue skies tomorrow morning (except if there's a cyclone). Proven and trusted. But the reason behind this is that if those dark and thick clouds will not result for rain to fall at night, there's a higher chance that they'll grew darker and thicker by morning due to the sun's heat. Previous numbers of these trivia had mentioned that the unequal heating of the Earth causes weather, so there's that to blame.
Weather conditions are defined either as Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) or Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC). Because we don't always fly based on the instruments. To break the myth that we're all dependent of the computer systems, we actually begin most of our training and also fly the plane under the so-called Visual Flight Rules (VFR) with VMC; which means we depend on what our eyes can see outside and use the primary instruments as a cross-check to the situation. And yes, we can takeoff and land planes under VFR even during the night. Flying Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) due to IMC is a hassle because visibility for this is lesser than 500 meters.
Not all weather can be detected by the radar, in short, computer aircraft has its flaws, too. One major phenomena that can't be detected is clear air turbulence (CAT). They occur in cloudless air between altitudes of 6,000 and 15,000 meters (20,000 and 49,000 feet) and constitute a hazard to aircraft for its vertical and horizontal wind shear. They can be found right next to so-called phenomena known as “jet streams”. That's why we have other means of gathering constant information throughout the flight. They may be reports by other pilots known as PIREPs; frequency switch to ATIS; inquiries to the air traffic controller currently in our frequency; checking the METAR or the TAF. We check the outlook weather reports, and prepare for them at least an hour before the flight.
Jet streams can lessen travel time and cut fuel cost (and vice versa). Jet streams are fast flowing, narrow, meandering air currents in the atmosphere that are located near the altitude of the tropopause and are westerly winds (flowing west and east). Hence, travels to fly east can be decreased by about 30 minutes or over one-third of flight time if an airplane can fly with the jet stream, or increased by more than the amount if it must fly west against it. They are strong and farther south during winter, and are weaker and farther north during the summer.
Sunny days are a hassle. Not just because it is a sea breeze in the morning wherein water cools much faster than land, and we experience land breeze in the evening wherein land cools much faster than water; and not because a pilot gets an instant tanning session for being under the heat of the sun on the tarmac during pre-flight inspections. Sunny days are considered a hassle because too warm temperature decreases aircraft performance that then, in turn, cause delays of flights, too.
Crosswind landings test a pilot’s skill (sort of). Passengers do not determine hard or smooth landings; every pilot is trained to commence a “safe” landing. Better yet, a skilled pilot will be found during a crosswind landing. Crosswind landing, is at its name implies, is landing with winds blowing perpendicular to the landing runway (direct crosswind) or winds blowing from quarterly headings to the landing runway (quarterly headwind for those from right ahead; and quarterly tailwind from those behind). Even the most skilled airline pilots commence go-around due to how dangerous crosswind landings are especially strong direct crosswinds that involves the mastery of a specific technique called “crabbing” or a “side-slip”.
Some approaches are less stable due to wind shear. Wind shear is a phenomena that occurs over a very small distance, but can be associated with squall lines and cold fronts. It is commonly observed near microbursts and downbursts caused by thunderstorms, fronts, areas of locally higher low-level winds near mountains, radiation inversions that occur due to clear skies and calm winds, buildings, wind turbines, and sailboats. It resemble turbulences but unlike the latter, wind shears may occur regardless of altitude and direction.
For any clarifications and corrections, you can reach out to me. I don’t bite~

How does sublimation dryer work?
Tumblr media
One of the captivating bodily houses of freeze-drying is a method called “sublimation”, a bit-recognized however essential method that permits freeze-drying to happen. Most human beings don’t stroll round seeing sublimation in action, however this unique “section change” wherein water adjustments from ice to vapor merits a bit time withinside the spotlight, as it’s the premise for all of Mercer Foods’ offerings. Our freeze-drying method produces advanced merchandise that preserve their dietary price from the instant they may be frozen, and it wouldn’t be feasible without the assist of sublimation. Try now no longer to evaporate in exhilaration as we take you via the science, in addition to the way it suits into our method.
The essential precept in freeze-drying is sublimation, the shift from a stable immediately right into a gas. Just like evaporation, sublimation happens while a molecule profits sufficient power to interrupt loose from the molecules round it. Water will elegant from a stable (ice) to a gas (vapor) while the molecules have sufficient power to interrupt loose however the situations are not proper for a liquid to form.
There are predominant elements that decide what segment (solid, liquid or gas) a substance will take: warmth and atmospheric stress. For a substance to take any unique segment, the temperature and stress have to be inside a sure range. Without those conditions, that segment of the substance cannot exist. As you already know that water can take a liquid shape at sea stage (in which stress is same to at least one atm) if the temperature is in among the ocean stage freezing point (32 tiers Fahrenheit or zero tiers Celsius) and the ocean stage boiling point (212 F or a hundred C). But in case you growth the temperature above 32 F whilst maintaining the atmospheric stress below .06 atmospheres (ATM), the water is heat sufficient to thaw, however there isn't always sufficient stress for a liquid to shape. It will become a gas.
This is precisely what a freeze-drying gadget does. A traditional gadget includes a freeze-drying chamber with numerous cabinets connected to heating units, a freezing coil related to a fridge compressor, and a vacuum pump. With maximum machines, you location the food to be preserved onto the cabinets whilst it's miles nonetheless unfrozen. When you seal the chamber and start the process, the gadget runs the compressors to decrease the temperature withinside the chamber. The food is frozen solid, which separates the water from the whole lot round it, on a molecular level, despite the fact that the water continues to be present.
Next, the device activates the vacuum pump to pressure air out of the chamber, decreasing the atmospheric stress below .06 ATM. The heating devices practice a small quantity of warmth to the shelves, inflicting the ice to extrade phase. Since the stress is so low, the ice turns at once into water vapor. The water vapor flows out of the freeze-drying chamber, beyond the freezing coil. The water vapor condenses onto the freezing coil in strong ice form, withinside the equal manner water condenses as frost on a chilly day. This keeps for plenty hours (even days) whilst the cloth steadily dries out. The method takes goodbye due to the fact overheating the cloth can drastically extrade the composition and structure. Additionally, accelerating the sublimation method may want to produce greater water vapor in a time frame then the pumping machine can dispose of from the chamber. This may want to rehydrate the cloth somewhat, degrading its quality.
Once the food is dried sufficiently, it is sealed in a moisture-loose package deal, regularly with an oxygen-soaking up cloth. As lengthy because the package deal is secure, the cloth can take a seat down on a shelf for years and years without degrading, till it is restored to its authentic shape with a piece of water (a totally small quantity of moisture remains, so the cloth will in the end spoil). If the entirety works correctly, the cloth will undergo the complete system nearly absolutely unscathed!
Things To Be Ignored During Freeze Drying
Heating the product too excessive in temperature can motive melt-lower back or product collapse Condenser overload as a result of an excessive amount of vapor hitting the condenser.
Too a whole lot vapor creation
Too a whole lot floor area
Too small a condenser area
Insufficient refrigeration
Vapor choking – the vapor is produced at a price quicker than it is able to get thru the vapor port, the port among the product chamber and the condenser, developing and growth in chamber pressure.

If youd told people five years ago that their Instagram feeds were tersely going to be overrun when in the by now and after photos of lymphatic drainage transformations, they would have probably kindly nodded their heads, mumbled something non-committal nearly Gwyneth, and when minister to to meticulously organizing their millennial pink shelfies and brunch flat lays. And still, lo and behold, its 2021 and lymphatic drainage rub is tersely everywhere.

Enter your email residence... ID ALSO LIKE TO RECEIVE: The Zoe Report Beauty Submit Suddenly, of course, is a bit misleading  as subsequent to beautiful much all burning rotate wellness practice, lymphatic drainage is by no means a count concept. Its an age-antique practice that just appropriately happens to be attainment a lot of attention thanks to celebrities, models, and influencers gushing roughly their de-puffing and body contouring experiences taking into account manual lymphatic drainage. But what even is it?
Before getting into the rub portion, you first habit to know more or less all things lymph. Your lymphatic system is actually a portion of your immune system and is a large network of tissues, vessels, and organs that accomplish a part together synergistically to make a get sticking together of of everything from transport and cut off cellular waste to arrangement nebulous levels in your body. When your lymphatic system is sluggish, it affects not single-handedly your health, but as well as your skin. You can see tame, congested, and puffy the entire on peak of if you arent properly caring for your lymphatic system.
Thats where lymphatic drainage comes in. Its a technique that involves manually massaging your body in a exact quirk, either taking into account your hands or moreover the aid of a tool, to bring to vivaciousness and pro the accumulated vague [aka.lymph] together along afterward the cells to reward to the vessels and influence towards the bloodstream, explains Camila Perez, an esthetician, daub therapist, and Clarins ambassador. After cell metabolism, some debris is absorbed by the bloodstream through little capillaries though excessive vague and larger molecules are drained by the lymphatic system. This calendar technique ultimately will adjunct the lymph flow and the process of filtration through lymph nodes.
In simpler terms, it gets that lymph shapeless flowing faster, helping to fall puffiness, and makes certain toxins are efficiently living thing expelled. Your body should technically be discharge commitment this coarsely its own through regular muscle contractions  however, things can profit backed taking place and compulsion a encyclopedia boost to sever that excess lymph nebulous.
Woman massaging legs Getty/ fotostorm The History Of Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Of course, as lymphatic drainage has grown in mainstream popularity, both its origins and the actual practice have become convoluted. One of the biggest misconceptions, explanation Sandra Lanshin Chiu, a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and founder of Lanshin Healing Studio, is that directory lymphatic drainage is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique. While some of the concepts may be similar, Chiu comments that usual Chinese medicine practices as well as gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, and tui na (medical smear) focus harshly improving circulation of blood, qi (liveliness), fluids, and augment the organ systems via simulation channels throughout the body, she says. While Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities often gain and fix lymphatic circulation, they obtain therefore by improving the circulatory flow of quantity systems. So, even though lymphatic drainage daub has some excuse to TCM techniques, Chinese medicine practitioners obtain not find it to be one.
Lymphatic drainage, as its most commonly known, is actually credited to the Danish duo innate therapist Dr. Emil Vodder and naturopath Estrid Vodder. While in Paris in the 1930s, the husband and wife studied the lymphatic system and discovered a drainage smooth technique that consisted of using open pressure and pumping, circling movements. Et voil  calendar lymphatic drainage daub was born.
That said, the lymphatic system is utterly important in Ayurvedic practices, and temperate brushing and the detox smear Abhyanga have been a part of the holistic healing system for thousands of years. The difference together surrounded by the Vodders medical drainage smooth and Abhyanga is that Abhyanga puts a greater focus in credit to the type of oils and herbs visceral used  customizing them to the individual and their dosha (body liveliness)  and focuses on rotate animatronics points of the body. Whereas to come the Vodders calendar lymph drainage, the usual iteration does not use oils and focuses on the other hand on gliding, cupping, stretching, and compressing vary areas of the body in an effort to abbreviate inflammation and vague retention.
Woman getting a rub Getty/ Hiraman Why Is Lymphatic Drainage Worthwhile? Now that thats been cleared happening, come tos chat approximately why you should care roughly lymphatic drainage. While it was originally billed as a medical treatment and is still used by therapists to prevent ache and bruising after insult or surgery, it moreover has some hasty aesthetic give support to.
According to Dr. Ervina Wu, a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine dermatologist and co-founder of Yina, treatments that minister to lymphatic drainage can result in less sluggishness, more vitality, enlarged simulation, complimentary eyes, gigantic skin, and less water retention. One situation it wont produce a consequences, however, is furthermore to weight loss, therefore be wary of any practitioner that tries to appendix it off as a mannerism to shed pounds. While lymphatic drainage daub helps to condense water retention and may cause some numbers roughly scales to degrade a little, says Dr. Wu, real weight loss comes from a sensible diet, regular exercise, and lifestyle adjustments. There have been some murmurings more or less its determined effects upon cellulite due to it reducing the amount of unstructured pressing neighboring to the fibrous bands beneath the skin; however, thats every part of anecdotal evidence (and the effects are performing arts).
The majority of lymphatic treatments you freshen listed upon spa menus today arent necessarily genuine medical reference book lymph drainage  la the Vodder method, but rather some sort of union of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and calendar lymphatic drainage rub. Which isnt necessarily a bad issue  youconcerning getting a lot of fantastic sustain rolled going on into one treatment. The by yourself people who in reality compulsion to fasten to immense medical lymphatic drainage smear are those recovering from invincible injuries or surgeries, as there are totally specific rub protocols for those whose bodies are in recovery. The general population is not going to be worse for the wear if their estheticians pairs some temperate brushing considering skin scooping strokes, some wood paddles, and a healthy dose of reforest oils.
As Perez explains, these treatments are usually billed as body contouring massages serve on they have the dual benefit of both stimulating your lymphatic system to fall puffiness and temporarily sculpting, shaping, and tightening your body. Perezs signature body contouring smear, for example, is an proficient union of lymphatic drainage, fascia official pardon, and cupping to alive lymph flow.
How To DIY Your Lymphatic Drainage Massage While youre going to profit the most transformative results from a lymphatic drainage type treatment back a benefit upon a monthly basis, there are further to learning how to do it upon yourself at on fire. Perez says youll loving to have a body oil upon hand (she loves Clarins Contour Body Treatment Oil because it contains naturally detoxifying and firming oils of geranium, pleasurable marjoram, and lemon), as capably as either a sober brush or wooden paddles.
The intend is to shape your lymph vague towards your heart and lymph nodes, which are predominantly located in your groin, armpits, auspices of the knees, and below the ears. When drama this treatment at dwelling, a innocent quirk to begin is by gently massaging the neck and collarbone past that is the location of an important chain of lymph nodes, remarks Perez. If you pick to ascetic brush, do that first upon  wait for it  dry skin in the in the future you shower. Always impinge on your brush in upwards strokes towards the meting out of your heart, as you are encouraging the lymph to drain towards it and properly flush out those toxins and excess fluid. The exception to this assent is your stomach and torso  in this place you throb to involve your brush downwards towards your pubic bone and nodes located in your groin area.
Jump in the shower and rinse off and, even if your skin is still damp, apply your body oil. Perez says to launch by gently pressing and stimulating the nodes in your neck, collarbone, armpit, and groin in the previously using your hands or your wooden paddle to gently but firmly massage the skin in an upward goings-on towards the heart. Again, in the appearance of than you profit to the torso, switch directions and function downwards towards the groin node. Remember that this is not supposed to be a deep tissue muscle massage  you are manipulating the skin at a surface level. A body contouring massage is not supposed to sensitive or cause bruising because we never deficiency to trigger the body to have an inflammatory tribute, notes Perez.
If you 부천 신중동 건마 nonattendance to whole gua sha into the complex you the whole can, although Chiu says to save in mind its support are not of the lymphatic variety but rather the circulation-boosting understandable. Many confuse the slow and well-ventilated stroking of facial gua sha as lymphatic drainage, but the fundamental concept and techniques are quite every second, she says. While gua sha can result in de-puffing, its intended to buildup circulation and user-within group the wrestle (or blockages) in the tissues. Manual lymphatic drainage focuses upon lymph using super-spacious attach techniques because lymph responds to totally light pressure. Gua sha uses a stroking goings-on thats heavier in pressure in order to make friction taking into account the tissue, improving hobby of blood, qi, and fluids.
The amenable adjust about at-residence lymphatic drainage treatments is that you can realize them merger time a week or whenever you mood bloated. Just make determined you are checking in once a doctor first in front take steps reference book lymphatic drainage, either at house or when a professional. Anyone as soon as a medical condition that could cause blood clotting should not get lymphatic drainage massage, gua sha, or any atypical calendar therapy without first checking afterward their physician or healthcare provider, cautions Chiu. Risks buildup a pulmonary embolism, which is a computer graphics threatening condition. Perez remarks that those in the appearance of heart, kidney, or cardiovascular conditions should along with check gone a doctor first, and those subsequent to acute infections or inflammations should steer distinct as lymphatic drainage has the potential to annoy those issues.
While you may not have great a lot of thought to your lymphatic system in the considering, this unsung hero of utter body care very deserves more of your undivided attention in your beauty and wellness routine. As Perez notes, Health and beauty go hand in hand, therefore having augmented lymph and blood circulation will ensure your skin will be more nourished, hydrated, and oxygenated.

Jurassic Emblem-Chapter 13
The story’s getting hot and thirsty guys ^u^ You might want to spray your genetic material at pregnancy art every once in a while reading. Enjoy!
Lucina was not surprised to hear that the next Aberrant Forms to target next were located in Ylisse. When she and Blue had returned to Askr, beaten up Teba and Warbler and threw back into their cells alongside Basilice, Commander Anna had announced to the raptors that their next mission will bring them to the Exalted Princess’s home country. This time, Lucina decided to have her daddy watch over the mercs and bring along the raptor squad. And Ryukami decided to lounge in the fish pond after several days of swimming in the open ocean.
When  Chrom’s ex-wife Grima was righteously turned into a Wal-Mart store, the now King of Ylisse had declared open desertification to the already dry conditions of his country. He figured that by rendering his land inhospitable, neighboring countries would have no reason to invade. Indeed, when the local residents uprooted native grasses and drained the rivers, even goblins didn’t want to live in an area with barely any supply of water. But that also meant Ylisseans found it quite difficult to grow crops and petitioned to King Chrom to forgive his neighbors and open up to other nations.
But Chrom wasn’t having any of this shit. He had long since closed off any trade routes out of a deep-seated grudge for that cunt-licker Gangrel and proceeded to dessicate the ecosystem even further. And do you remember how Sha’Rad Yuwi had released a strain of flakka-induced rabies to the country? Well in truth, the virus didn’t kill off Ylisseans entirely, it just sped the catastrophe along. It wasn’t until after his retainer Frederick died did Chrom truly wished he partnered with Prince Xander of Nohr instead of taking his anger out on his non-family.
“I could really go for a drink,” Echo remarked, trekking in the hot sand. “If we don’t reach the boss of this level soon I don’t think I can refrain from spilling blood in front of you girls.”
“Well, it’s not exactly ideal, but all the nutrients an organism needs,” Delta said,”is condensed right in its kin. But Echo, you know, I know, and we all know that we need to stick together for survival and the last thing Blue wants is for us to dissect each other.”
“Umm, yeah, and don’t even think about lapping up your own pee,” Blue jumped in. “those mistakes of human beings who drink urine for “survival” obviously have too much free time on their hands.” She surveyed the wide desert environment, a few temnospondyl skeletons littered the sandscape.
Charlie, the little velociraptor, was panting. “Are we there yet? I’m even happy to eat plants if it means getting some nice cool H2O.”
Blue cocked her head to look at her youngest sister. “Tell you what Charlie,” she said. “when we tackle down this baddie of this level, why don’t we all go bathe in Askr’s moat? The trout swimming there are quite delectable I have to say.”
“But I’m so thiiirsty,” Charlie whined. “even now, the last water molecules I have in my body are leaving me.”
Lucina tapped her hand on the jungle-green raptor. “Now I might sound as convincing as say, Sole Survivor here but you’ve been a good girl Charlie.” She scrunched up her left arm, reveal bare flesh. “Here, if you have to , bite my arm and lap my blood.”
Blue’s eyes widened. “Future Witness, you do know that the moment my little sister chomps your arm, septic bacteria will flood your wound, right? There’s no medical help around here for miles.”
Lucina shrugged. “Sepsis or not, Charlie is in genuine need to rehydrate, and I want to do what I can to save everyone I love, including you.” The green-brown dinosaur sank her teeth into the Exalted princess’s bare arm. The navy girl flinched in response as  warm, dark crimson flowed from Charlie’s jaws.
The blue-striped velociraptor sighed. “I can’t change your choice of action, but if you collapse on the ground because you got an infection, remember that it was you who initiated it.”
“No need to tell me,” the Exalted Princess replied maternally, Charlie suckling on her bloody arm.
                                             ***************
Blue didn’t like her counterpart’s decision, but she had to respect it. As carnivorous animals didn’t exactly practice oral hygiene after their meals, flesh-eating bacteria more often than not inhabited their mouths and despite Lucina applying sand, pressure, and a tunic fashioned from her cape unto her wound after nursing Charlie, the navy-blue raptor knew damn well it was only a matter of time before infection set in and ate away at Lucina’s arm, eventually requiring amputation at best. They had to hurry and complete their mission.
Unsurprisingly to Lucina prior to their departure, the Aberrant Forms were residing in the ruined castle in the former Halidon of Ylisse, which made traveling there a relative breeze. Aside from the occasional scampering compsognathus hopping about on some crumbling pillars, there wan’t really anything to impede the raptors’ mission to defeat the boss of this area.
Well, at least anything that wasn’t heavily armored or bearing a sharp saber.
Blue and company were about to take a step toward’s Luci’s former residence and a woman in orchid mounting on top of a spiky turtle-like ankylosaurus met them at the entrance.
“Howdy cutie babes!” the ankylosaurus greeted them enthusiastically, his eyes gleeming with endorphins. “It’s always nice when I get to see cute young women like you for these hard eyes!”
“Oh great, a wounded girl and four little lizards,” the white and pink woman remarked. “I ought to be killing my sisters and instead I’m stuck here with this pervy turtle and chopping up trespassers.”
Blue walked up to them. “Umm, hello. We’re here to see the boss of this level, and ideally, we would like to defeat them bore Future Witness here lands in critical condit-
WHOOOMP! A spike-laden tail ending in a hard club had just barely missed Blue as the charcoal blue-striped dromaeosaur leaped back. The ankylosaur was swinging his tail, stirring up a cloud of dust.
“Awww, do we really hav’ta go this route? I heard the world of Fire Emblem is full of hot voluptuous chicks and it’ll be such a disgrace if I smashed their frail bodies.” the chelonian-esque dinosaur commented, still thrashing his tail in confrontation.
“Grandpa Havoc, does it really matter whether we kill men or women?” The orchid woman sighed. “At the end of the day, anyone who stands in our way is just a walking juice-box with organs floating in it, gender or no gender.”
“Awww, but Zero, don’t ya think girls like you and those veloci-vixens make bloody anime and games more digestible? The viewers don’t want to experience a Chernobyl gas-leak 20 times a day.” the ankylosaur named Havoc protested.
On the other hand Blue and her sisters were at a standstill. The white woman named Zero could perhaps be taken out with the raptor swarming at her, but Havoc was proven to be a hard hurdle. Somewhere, deep within the fabric of their DNA, just like their ancestors knew 80 million years ago, Blue and her siblings knew ankylosaurs were the pinnacle of armored dinosaurs. A low-profile body enveloped with numerous osteoderms and spikes were already diffult to penetrate enough, then there is the delightful bit that fatal tail-club is more than blunt enough to break the leg bones of a tyrannosaur. Did I also mentioned that ankys’ heads were armored to the extent that even their eyelids took eye-protection to the extreme? The raptors could plan a surprise attack but they need to think hard, and fast-
“Okay Veloci-Volutuous-Vixens, since you’re at a lost here, I think I’m gonna make life easier for you gals and let you pass.” Havoc said.
Blue tilted her head. “...? Did I hear that just right?”
“Why yes, my dear dromeaosaurid theropod. You girls can proceed to the boss fight up ahead, on one condition.”
“And what would that be?” Delta asked.
Havoc smiled. “Why, since you gorgeous girls are in humanoid form, why don’t you unzip those pants and reveal them lacy bras to this tired anky here?”
“....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................are you fucking serious!?” the raptors exclaimed in shock and disbelief.
“I cannot say it is a lie. Even with rex blood pumped into a ya, no raptors can ever flip over an anyklosaurus like me, let alone the king of the dinosaurs. I’m just making things easier for y’all.” Grandpa Havoc eyed Lucina and her bandaged left arm. “and I think if she were to knock boots with my waifu Zero here, I think ya’ll and I struck a deal-OW!!”
Zero had jabbed her sword right in Havoc’s head out of annoyance. “If you’d like me to kill you for assuming I’m like my slutty sister Five, absolutely help yourself Havoc.” She hissed as she jumped off her comrade. As Havoc was trying her shake the erect sword off his head, Zero strided towards Luci and placed a small glowing blue orb in her hand. “W-what is this?” Lucina asked.
“Theorectically I can heal that fleshy boo-boo of your while bedding you child, but I am not a horny slut like Five, so I’m giving you this.” Zero said, not smiling. “this orb will prevent any infections to your body, at least in the moment.”
“O-oh. Thank you.” Luci bowed her head.
“As for you lizards though,” Zero continued to the raptors. “it IS possible to crush that pervy turtle-lizard thing but you’d have to use spears or magic. In other words: better luck next time!”
Though Delta wouldn’t admit it, she got a very sensational, soft, and wet feeling from hearing Zero’s bold statement. She looked at her other siblings, Blue, Echo, and Charlie, as well as Lucina. “Alright, we’ll shed our outer layers,” The green-blue velociraptor commenced.
And when the ankylosaurus Grandpa Havoc turned his head to see the girls pulling off their shirts, unzipping their pants, and patting their lacy underwear, the sword jammed into his head suddenly loosened and fell off. There was hardlt any better treat than to see cute females donning 2-piece lacy lingerie, revealing lustrous breasts, smooth thighs, and a full abdomen.

All skincare routine be simple yet effective absolutely that's why today we show you a morning skincare routine. that's really simple but really effective. So, the first step is obviously to cleanse your skin.if you want to have a simple and effective skincare routine in the morning then I suggest that you use a cleanser that also has actives in it.        More Stories For You: These Men fashion trends will take place in 2020 This 5 Usefull Itch Relief Cream For Your Sensitive Skin Top 9 Sexy and Pretty Pink Fashion For Modern Women 1st Step:  one product that I suggest is this one by Holy Frog it's their Shasta H.A refining acid wash some of the ingredients that. Ingredients of Holy Frog Shasta H.A it contains arts like folic acid, there's mandelic acid, which we don't hear about too often it's a very gentle h.a to use on your skin. I like it for a lot of people because the molecules are a little bit larger. So, it's not gonna penetrate as deep. it won't make your skin feel so sensitive.  There's also Australian caviar lime extract in here, that's also an AJ, that brightens and smoothes your skin, and Tammany oil so it helps to calm your skin, after all of that too. so it's a nice way to work together and there's rosehip oil that has lots of antioxidants and vitamins in it so it's known to really protect your skin. How To Use This Holy Frog Shasta H.A   I will tell Personally that my morning skincare routine, I tend to like an HA. toner instead and get my exfoliation that way in the morning. but if you're trying to consolidate, this is a great way to multitask your cleansing your skin. you're getting the action so it's exfoliating your skin at the same time and you're rinsing it off. and moving on to your next step right away so, what I like to do is I wet my skin give a little pump and then gently lather it on my face and then, I'll let it sit there for a minute or two depending on how strong the product is this one.  I can leave on for about five minutes and I feel like it really starts to exfoliate my skin go to work. then I rinse it off and my skin feels really nice and it's not dried out. I also tend to find that h.a cleansers are a little bit more gentle on the skin, that doesn't go for all of them. but the ones that I tend to use are a little more gentle on the skin. the water starts to deactivate the AAS and by the time you've gotten out of the shower or finished cleansing your face. I find that they're pretty much deactivated at that point.  So, you can also move into using an active serum or moisturizer after that and it won't be too irritating for your skin. A lot of people mention that they don't you AAS or any strong ingredients in the morning because, they're gonna expose your skin to the Sun but what I'll point out is, you're gonna wear sunscreen for sure in the morning no matter what you should be wearing it and to just because you use an AAA or some kind of an active ingredient at night doesn't mean that your skin is suddenly totally fine the next day and you're able to expose your skin no matter what it already did its job. so, Checkout This Hoilfrog 2nd Step:  Then once you're done cleansing your skin you don't actually need a toner, you don't need an essence, you don't even need a serum. I like to use those kinds of products because you're getting lots of other ingredients and everything to add to your skincare routine. but if you want to keep it really simple you can just use a moisturizer that has actives in it.  This is the good science beauty skin brightening cream it's 004 - BR they have a few other creams in their skincare line that do lots of different things. I just gravitate to this one because I really like vitamin C. I like to brighten my skin that's one of the things that I look for in my products and that's what this one does this one illuminates the skin and brightens your skin tone. Ingredients of 004  Br Brightening Cream specifically, this one has glutathione and melatonin. which are known to help brighten your skin and illuminate it. they have the technology and their brand that's called good silicon plus and it's an interesting delivery system for these ingredients for your skin. good silicon plus should not be confused with silicon, which is completely different ingredient silicon is a natural mineral.  that's already found in the body and that's what they're using as a delivery system for these ingredients in your skin. it's very interesting the science is that good silicon plus is positively charged and your skin is negatively charged. So, their whole concept is that opposites attract.  So, your skin's going to be attracted to the ingredients that they mix with this. I find that this product specifically is very effective on my skin it feels nice and creamy but it's not too thick also so, this works as my moisturizer.  it's going to work as my actives the way I use this is. I make sure my skin is damp. because, all of your skincare products after you wash your face always work better, they penetrate better. if your skin is a little bit damp. How to use 004 Br Brightening Cream you only need a couple pumps depending on how dry your skin is. I just put a couple pumps in my hand, I rub my hands together and then gently pat it into my face, my neck and even into my chest :') 2 pumps tend to cover all of those areas and you feel it absorbed quickly. it does not leave a layer on your skin at all. it's kind of like a hybrid of a serum and a moisturizer. because it absorbs so quickly and doesn't leave a layer on your skin. Check This 004 Br Cream next is probably the most important step in your morning skincare routine  3rd Step: That's your sunscreen this is the Beet shield it's by kraveBeauty. I was introduced to this just last year and it's quickly become one of my Holy Grail products that's because this sunscreen it doesn't say something scream. but this is definitely a sunscreen it's considered, basically SPF 50.  it doesn't feel like a thick layer of sunscreen at all. it just feels like a really nice almost like in essence, it's very light it doesn't leave a white cast on my skin and it plays well with all of my makeup products. Which are the products I'm gonna use next probably So, This is one of those sunscreens that I highly recommend using. Ingredients and use of Beet shield  some of the key ingredients in this are beetroot extract. which is why it's called the beet shield. there's alan town,  also vitamin C and resveratrol.  So, you're getting those antioxidants that help to really boost the effectiveness of your sunscreen. A little goes a long way but since its sunscreen. I make sure that I use enough that covers my entire face my neck and my chest and even actually the tops of my hands. Check This Beet Shield Last Step but not Least 4th Step: I never forget my lips lip balm is life to me. so, this one that I use in the morning is my Biossance it's their Rose Vegan lip Balm. I like this one cuz it feels very light.   I know I'm gonna wear lipstick later on.  so We something that's not gonna is too heavy not like the ones we use for bedtime. because I don't want it to interact with my lipstick and make it look different or feel different. So, I really like this one because it feels like it absorbs and it's really light. it's like a new and improved version of that like rosebuds sell. Indigredients of Biossance Rose Vegan Lip Balm Basically, it has hyaluronic acid in it, it has risen Absolut it's also got a type of wakame algae in, it that helps to plump your lips too. it's a really nice light feeling lip balm.  so that's an example of a super simple morning skincare routine I don't always do this but when I'm in a hurry I definitely do something like this where I just use an H a cleanser in the morning I throw on a moisturizer with an active. in it and then I put on my sunscreen those are pretty much the things that I have to have to have in the morning and that's a really good way to just condense it look for those products that are multitasking.  Checkout This Rose Lip Balm: One More Morning Skincare If You even need - your skin is now more sensitive, if you do want to use a cleansing brush, I love this one it's by PMD. it's a PMD clean Pro rose quartz. and that's because it has the rose quartz on the back of it. it's silicone bristles, it's very gentle on your skin while you have your cleanser on especially this one.  I like to use something like this because I'm gonna let it sit on my skin anyway so, I just turn it on and I let the vibrations go to town the way it works, is it just vibrates the debris out of your skin,  and out of your pores.  So, I just like to use this as an added step with my cleanser. again this is a simple routine though so you don't even need to use a cleansing brush. it's just something that I tend to do. So, I wanted to throw that out there but you can also just use the cleanser on its own. Check This PMD Cleansing device:    If You Got Any Question on Your Mind Don't Hesitate to Tell us on Comment

Low-Grain Refrigerant Dehumidifiers For Water Damage
It is much less crucial that you find a very good product because it is always to find the appropriate one as it pertains to dehumidifiers. When trying to find the proper dehumidifier for your property it is great to learn what sort of issues you've and the reason behind your search. Applying dehumidifier opinions is a smart action to take for viewing which system is the one which could fit your present wants best.
The key reason for applying humidifiers is maintaining a low humidity stage in rooms and eliminating dirt mites. Dirt insects are recognized to trigger different allergies. Numerous is that they're incapable of endure very well in settings where in actuality the humidity stage is lower than fifty percent.
The way in which a dehumidifying best dehumidifier with pump system operates is by licking the air inside the device, where a coil just like the people from an icebox creates a condensation process. The water from the condensation drains into a container in the machine. The dehumidified air then moves over hot coils and is spread in the room. This sort of dehumidifier is the warmth pump type and is the most frequent way of reducing the water molecules in the air.
The initial signals of a quite high humidity stage will be the windows. When buying dehumidifiers persons frequently only go through the features of the different techniques and don't pay attention to different crucial factors. The most crucial factors are: how big is the area, the problem of the area and the temperature of the room.
Room situation is determined by how wet it is. If the area is simply wet with the high humidity caused primarily by warm moist air throughout summer time time, then you definitely won't require as strong a unit. If the area has water damage from a flow then you definitely will require one of many best models out there.
All dehumidifiers have an environment selection for the general humidity levels in the area wherever they're located. That typically stages from 30 to 80 percent. You can collection the product range to an even that feels the absolute most comfortable for you personally and your family. Often the air might be too dried and it can affect the skin of the people who use a dried room. Nevertheless, poor points sometimes happens if the air is too wet as this can affect nasal passages and the skin as well. Try to find the absolute most maximum and comfortable selection to you.
There's a different type of dehumidifier which does not work like the standard type as they choose compound drying substances. They're used mainly in hotter areas, but they're much less successful as the warmth pump type. The compound types use an excessive amount of power for working and, because of this they're maybe not suggested for house use. They choose ventilation to dried the air out and they're used mainly for commercial purposes.
Dehumidifiers could be a necessity for all homes as they dried the air and allow it to be a less predisposed environment for microorganisms which could ruin the health of many people. These types of techniques use the condensation theory to function, but you will find compound products as well. No matter which type you choose, I suggest that you read dehumidifier opinions before buying one. In this manner you can be sure you'll receive the proper system for the home.
If your attic surfaces are infected with mold, it's high time that you invest in a specialized attic dehumidifier. Since basements are partially or always subterranean, they're likely to be more moist than the sleep of your house. Excess humidity may invite mold, insects and a myriad of animals into your basement.
Your entire attic will have to be redesigned if the mold infects your surfaces and tiles. The most effective substitute is always to invest in a attic dehumidifier that will provide down the humidity levels in your basement. It can save you income and pay down in the extended run. I strongly inspire you to invest in a attic dehumidifier.
Here are a few recommendations to select the right attic dehumidifier...
Hose and Push - When purchasing a attic dehumidifier, always look for the one which has the capacity to create the water. It could be difficult for you really to replace the container of water physically every now and then all through the day. However, if the system comes in with a pump or associations for automatic drainage, you do not have to worry about draining the water manually. All of it is likely to be prepared for you in an instant and automatic manner.
Capacity reviews - The capability rating of the system you will select can also be important. Some models come with higher volumes and there are a few which have decrease capacities. Depending on the humidity stage and how big is your attic, you will have to select a product that will work well. Items start from 30 pint volume and get around 190 pint capacity. For some people, it's secure to opt for a product that will eliminate between 50-70 pints of water on an everyday basis.
Noise levels - The noise level of the particular attic dehumidifier can also be crucial. For attic use, I'd guide you to opt for a product that emits more noise. But you shouldn't spend money on one that is exceptionally noisy. I'd suggest that you go for a system that's moderately noisy. It will show you if the system is working or not. If you are considering using the same system in your living room or bedroom, I'd go for a more quiet unit.
Power utilization - In exceptionally moist situations (especially in a basement), it is very possible that the dehumidifier is likely to be working virtually all day along. That's why you'll need to invest in a system that uses minimal amount of power. Try to find power star records before you buy the unit. Power star licensed dehumidifiers tend to save lots of about $200 annual in energy bills. It takes care of in the extended run.

How Essential Oils Are Produced and Affect Emotions?
HOW DOES ESSENTIAL OIL AFFECT EMOTIONS WITH THE SCENT?
When you inhale aroma, its scent molecules—the VOCs discussed earlier—enter your nose, where they remain in a part of the nasal lining (the olfactory membrane). Within this lining is the olfactory epithelium, a specialized tissue containing receptor neurons (nerve cells) that become containers for the scent molecules.
These neurons don’t just trap the scent molecules and hold them inside the nose. but also send electrical impulses to the brain’s olfactory bulb, the center of the sense of smell. The olfactory bulb then signals the amygdala, an area of the brain that contains emotional memories. The olfactory bulb also distributes signals to the sense of taste, housed in the gustatory center, and this signaling is what makes aromas a key factor in how food tastes.
Olfaction—the sense of smell—is the only one of the five senses that is directly connected to the limbic system, the part of the brain that controls blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing as well as memory and hormone balance. The limbic system regulates fear, anger, depression, anxiety, happiness, and sadness, and it is believed that a scent entering the olfactory bulb has the ability to affect all these emotional responses.
Therefore, if you want to soothe your emotions through essential oils, the best stick method is to use it with diffuser, Homasy will be your best choice.
HOW ESSENTIAL OILS ARE PRODUCED?
Extracting essential oils from plants is not something that can be done easily as a DIY project. Some methods of extracting essential oils have been around for thousands of years while others are still being proven. Essential oils are extracted using one of several basic methods. The two most common are steam distillation and CO2 extraction. In fact, we mentioned some methods of extracting essential oils at the beginning of the article. There are many different ways to extract essential oils and they are listed below:
STEAM DISTILLATION
CO2 EXTRACTION
ENFLEURAGE
EXPRESSION
MACERATION
SOLVENT EXTRACTION
WATER DISTILLATION
STEAM DISTILLATION is the most common method for extracting essential oils. Vast quantities of aromatic plants are loaded into a machine and tightly compacted. Steam is then forced through the plant “filter”, heating it up and releasing the oils as a gas. As the gas cools, it liquefies into oil and water, which is then separated. The fragrant water that’s left behind by this process is a hydrosol and is valued in its own right.
]
CO2 EXTRACTION is a process similar to steam distillation, but it uses carbon dioxide instead of water to extract the essential oil from the raw plant material. In this method, carbon dioxide is chilled to between 35 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit before being blasted through the plant material. What results is a pure essential oil that has not been even slightly altered by exposure to heat.
ENFLEURAGE is not commonly used today, but it is one of the oldest methods of essential oil extraction that implements the use of fat. By the end of this process, either vegetable fat or animal fat becomes infused with the flower’s fragrance compounds. The fats that are used are odorless and solid at room temperature. The enfleurage process can be done either “hot” or “cold”. In both instances, the fat that is saturated with fragrance is called “enfleurage pomade”.
EXPRESSION (aka “cold pressing”) is used mostly for extracting the essential oil from the peels of citrus fruit. In this method the fruit peels are pressed and then the oil is separated from the juice and pulp in a centrifuge. Expression is also the process used in winemaking and creating olive oil.
MACERATION sounds like a process that would involve grinding or chewing-up herbs, but it isn’t. Plants are soaked in hot oil, which breaks down their cell walls to release the essential oils. The result is then filtered and bottled. The Egyptians used this method extensively in their perfume making.
SOLVENT EXTRACTION is used when flowers have too little volatile oil for other extraction methods. The essential oils are extracted with the help of chemical solvents such as methylene chloride, hexane, or benzene, and are called “absolutes”. Solvent extraction is an expensive, labor-intensive process that often involves several solvent treatments. Purists do not consider absolutes to be true essential oils due to the solvent that is left behind.
The end result of these processes is a bottle of essential oil that can be used alone or in combination as part of a DIY medicine chest, cosmetic case, and home-care cabinet.
In order to create a safe and effective collection of essential oils, choose the purest and best essential oils. Price isn’t always a determiner of quality. Research the various essential oil manufacturers to determine the processes they use to create the essential oils, as well as the purity of their oils, before purchasing the essential oils you want to include in your personal aroma-therapy kit.
WATER DISTILLATION means delicate flowers such as roses and orange blossoms would clump together when introduced to steam in the distillation process, so the most effective method of extraction in this situation is to submerge fragile plant material in pure boiling water instead. The water protects the extracted oil from overheating. The condensed liquids cool down and separate from each other. The remaining water, which can sometimes be fragrant, is referred to by several names including hydrolate, hydrosol, herbal water, essential water, floral water, or herbal distillate.

If y’all haven’t read Cryptonomicon, why not?
A little backstory- Randy is a software and network guru, and has been sent to the Philippines alone to establish a foothold for his newest startup company.  To make him feel better about it, his company has supplied him with Captain Crunch.
Eating Cap'n Crunch
(From Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson)
Randy walks with a measured, forcibly calm step to the living room where he does most of his dining, usually while facing his thirty-six-inch television. He sets up his San Miguel, an empty bowl, an exceptionally large soup spoon—so large that most European cultures would identify it as a serving spoon and most Asian ones as a horticultural implement. He obtains a stack of paper napkins, not the brown recycled ones that can’t be moistened even by immersion in water, but the flagrantly environmentally unsound type, brilliant white and cotton-fluffy and desperately hygroscopic. He goes to the kitchen, opens the fridge, reaches deep into the back, and finds an unopened box-bag-pod-unit of UHT milk. UHT milk need not, technically, be refrigerated, but it is pivotal, in what is to follow, that the milk be only a few microdegrees above the point of freezing. The fridge in Randy’s apartment has louvers in the back where the cold air is blown in, straight from the freon coils. Randy always stores his milk-pods directly in front of those louvers. Not too close, or else the pods will block the flow of air, and not too far away either. The cold air becomes visible as it rushes in and condenses moisture, so it is a simple matter to sit there with the fridge door open and observe its flow characteristics, like an engineer testing an experimental minivan in a River Rouge wind tunnel. What Randy would like to see, ideally, is the whole milk-pod enveloped in an even, jacketlike flow to produce better heat exchange through the multilayered plastic-and-foil skin of the milk-pod. He would like the milk to be so cold that when he reaches in and grabs it, he feels the flexible, squishy pod stiffen between his fingers as ice crystals spring into existence, summoned out of nowhere simply by the disturbance of being squished.
Today the milk is almost, but not quite, that cold. Randy goes into his living room with it. He has to wrap it in a towel because it is so cold it hurts his fingers. All is in readiness.
Randy takes the red box and holds it securely between his knees with the handy stay-closed tab pointing away from him. Using both hands in unison he carefully works his fingertips underneath the flap, trying to achieve equal pressure on each side, paying special attention to places where too much glue was laid down by the gluing-machine. For a few long, tense moments, nothing at all happens, and an ignorant or impatient observer might suppose that Randy is getting nowhere. But then the entire flap pops open in an instant as the entire glue-front gives way. Randy hates it when the box-top gets bent or, worst of all possible worlds, torn. The lower flap is merely tacked down with a couple of small glue-spots and Randy pulls it back to reveal a translucent, inflated sac. The halogen down-light recessed in the ceiling shines through the cloudy material of the sac to reveal gold—everywhere the glint of gold. Randy rotates the box ninety degrees and holds it between his knees so its long axis is pointed at the television set, then grips the top of the sac and carefully parts its heat-sealed seam, which purrs as it gives way. Removal of the somewhat milky plastic barrier causes the individual nuggets of Cap’n Crunch to resolve, under the halogen light, with a kind of preternatural crispness and definition that makes the roof of Randy’s mouth glow and throb in trepidation.
The gold nuggets of Cap’n Crunch pelt the bottom of the bowl with a sound like glass rods being snapped in half. Tiny fragments spall away from their corners and ricochet around on the white porcelain surface. World-class cereal-eating is a dance of fine compromises. The giant heaping bowl of sodden cereal, awash in milk, is the mark of the novice. Ideally one wants the bone-dry cereal nuggets and the cryogenic milk to enter the mouth with minimal contact and for the entire reaction between them to take place in the mouth. Randy has worked out a set of mental blueprints for a special cereal-eating spoon that will have a tube running down the handle and a little pump for the milk, so that you can spoon dry cereal up out of a bowl, hit a button with your thumb, and squirt milk into the bowl of the spoon even as you are introducing it into your mouth. The next best thing is to work in small increments, putting only a small amount of Cap’n Crunch in your bowl at a time and eating it all up before it becomes a pit of loathsome slime, which, in the case of Cap’n Crunch, takes about thirty seconds.
He pours the milk with one hand while jamming the spoon in with the other, not wanting to waste a single moment of the magical, golden time when cold milk and Cap’n Crunch are together but have not yet begun to pollute each other’s essential natures: two Platonic ideals separated by a boundary a molecule wide. Where the flume of milk splashes over the spoon-handle, the polished stainless steel fogs with condensation. Randy of course uses whole milk, because otherwise why bother? Anything less is indistinguishable from water, and besides he thinks that the fat in whole milk acts as some kind of a buffer that retards the dissolution-into-slime process. The giant spoon goes into his mouth before the milk in the bowl has even had time to seek its own level. A few drips come off the bottom and are caught by his freshly washed goatee (still trying to find the right balance between beardedness and vulnerability, Randy has allowed one of these to grow). Randy sets the milk-pod down, grabs a fluffy napkin, lifts it to his chin, and uses a pinching motion to sort of lift the drops of milk from his whiskers rather than smashing and smearing them down into the beard. Meanwhile all his concentration is fixed on the interior of his mouth, which naturally he cannot see, but which he can imagine in three dimensions as if zooming through it in a virtual reality display. Here is where a novice would lose his cool and simply chomp down. A few of the nuggets would explode between his molars, but then his jaw would snap shut and drive all of the unshattered nuggets straight up into his palate where their armor of razor-sharp dextrose crystals would inflict massive collateral damage, turning the rest of the meal into a sort of pain-hazed death march and rendering him Novocain mute for three days. But Randy has, over time, worked out a really fiendish Cap’n Crunch eating strategy that revolves around playing the nuggets’ most deadly features against each other. The nuggets themselves are pillow-shaped and vaguely striated to echo piratical treasure chests. Now, with a flake-type of cereal, Randy’s strategy would never work. But then, Cap’n Crunch in a flake form would be suicidal madness; it would last about as long, when immersed in milk, as snowflakes sifting down into a deep fryer. No, the cereal engineers at General Mills had to find a shape that would minimize surface area, and, as some sort of compromise between the sphere that is dictated by Euclidean geometry and whatever sunken-treasure-related shapes that the cereal-aestheticians were probably clamoring for, they came up with this hard-to-pin-down striated pillow formation. The important thing, for Randy’s purposes, is that the individual pieces of Cap’n Crunch are, to a very rough approximation, shaped kind of like molars. The strategy, then, is to make the Cap’n Crunch chew itself by grinding the nuggets together in the center of the oral cavity, like stones in a lapidary tumbler. Like advanced ballroom dancing, verbal explanations only goes so far and then your body just has to learn the moves.

What are Essential Oils?
By Erin Oberlander, Certified Holistic Aromatherapist
By now you have probably heard mention of essential oils even if you have not yet experienced them. However, with the rise in multi-level marketing of essential oils along with the increase in popularity of natural grocers and health food stores, perhaps you also have experienced an essential oil or two.
But what are essential oils? Do you question the scientific validity of the claims being made about these substances? Do you wish you had better information about how to use these sweet-smelling substances?
It is surprising to note that only a very small percentage of plants on Earth produce essential oils. Scientists believe that it is the oldest plants, from an evolutionary standpoint, that have developed the ability to produce secondary metabolites — substances that are not necessary for the plant to exist, but which make the survivability of that plant stronger. Essential oils are one of the secondary metabolites of these plants.
Our best chicken secrets revealed with this FREE guide!
Even old pros say they got dozens of tips for their flocks by reading this guide. YES! I want this Free Guide »
Essential oils are often produced when the plant is under stress in the form of extreme temperatures or from competition from a pest. The plant produces extra chemical compounds, such as monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, alcohols, and esters to enhance its own protection. In other words, the essential oils are the immune system of the plant. These aromatic substances have the ability to fight off insects, viruses, bacteria, and fungus and to prevent other plants from growing in the same space.
Essential oils have another function: attraction. Just as humans are drawn to the scent of a beautiful flower, so too are pollinators. Therefore, it can also be understood that the essential oils have a sexual function to help the plant reproduce by attracting bees, wasps, and other insects.
Humans are not structured the same as plants, but we do have some similarities. A plant has xylem; humans have blood. The plant has skin or bark to protect itself, much like humans have skin. The plant has sexual organs, as do we. Because of these similarities, it may be surmised that it is at least possible that essential oils will function in similar capacities in our bodies — to enhance our immunity and to improve sexual functions.
Distillation and Expression
Aromatic substances such as incense and herbal infusions have been used almost since the beginning of human history. Modern essential oils, however, were not possible to extract from the plant until the invention of the alembic still by alchemists, starting around 800 A.D. Plant material is placed in the body of a distiller vessel and heated. Steam rises and then condenses to form the two outputs of the distillation process: essential oils (the chemical compounds of the plant’s immune system in extreme concentration) and the hydrosol, which contains a small amount of suspended essential oil along with water and some of the herbaceous elements of the plant.
The exception to this process is citrus essential oils, which are produced by expression — a compression and maceration of the peels of the citrus fruits until the essential oil is drawn out and collected. These two processes — distillation and expression — are the only two ways that true essential oil can be obtained from plant material.
Olfaction — How Does Our Sense of Smell Work?
With the understanding that essential oils MAY work in the human body in similar ways to plants, the discussion must now move to HOW they may work. To do this, olfaction must be understood. Olfaction is another word for our sense of smell. In the nose is found the olfactory bulb — a dense cluster of nerve cells which are directly exposed to the air — the only nerves in the body that have total exposure to the outside without protection. Why might this be? Scientists believe that the sense of smell was one of our first senses to develop, and they also believe that the sense of smell developed as a protective function. For instance, when the body smells forest fire, the brain can then decide if it is time to run.
The olfactory bulb is located just millimeters from our limbic system, the emotional center of the brain. The limbic center directs the fight or flight response, impacts mood, influences the entire endocrine system, and in so doing, has an influence on every cell in the body. When scent molecules are inhaled into the nose, the molecules are plugged into receptors on the olfactory nerves. These nerves take the information from the scent molecules directly, and quickly, to the limbic center in the brain. The brain then decides how the body needs to react to that scent. This is why certain essential oils tend to have a calming effect while others have a stimulating effect. It is all based on the information provided to the brain by that smell and how the brain decides to interpret that smell for the body. Therefore what essential oils are used for is to enhance the function of the entire body.
Essential Oil Purity and Potency — The Cost Issue
When someone is first learning how to make homemade soap, fragrancing the soap naturally but cost-effectively is often a primary concern. Essential oils are available in a wide range of qualities and potencies, often (but not always) reflected in the cost of the essential oil. Many of the terms used to describe the quality of essential oils are marketing terms invented by companies seeking to sell those oils. It can be confusing to choose the right oil.
When it comes to therapeutic use, it is worth it to invest more in your essential oil and to research the sustainability and purity factors of that essential oil. Many companies dilute their essential oils with carrier oil to make them more cost-effective. These would not be the type one would want to choose for therapeutic use.
However, when it comes to the best essential oils for soap making, this may be an area where therapeutic benefit will be outweighed by scent and affordability because the length of time the essential oil will be present on the skin in soap will be extremely nominal. A cheap essential oil may be called for when it comes to soapmaking techniques while still achieving a beautiful scent that does not come from synthetic or petroleum-based fragrances.
