watching an interview with hans zimmer and it's crazy how artists will always always always be such perfectionists about their work no matter the level they're at huh

#like hans zimmer (HANS ZIMMER) says that he will always look over his work and think ''man i shouldve done better on that'' #honestly. something kinda unifying about that. like no matter how renowned you are #you're always gonna feel like a monkey wearing a hat that says ''artist'' #and yet especially in zimmer's case he's probably one of the most popular contemporary composers #like ask anybody who their top 5 fav film score guys are and he will Most likely be in the mix somewhere #and idk. as artists we all tend to look down on our own work and downplay our importance #and we compare ourselves to each other and think we dont belong or we arent ''real artists'' #but the truth is we ALL feel that way and everyone's art has a place. i truly truly believe that. #everyone's art will touch someone. somewhere. at some time. it might be millions. it might be hundreds. it might be ten. #hell it might even be one. but that doesn't make it any less worth it because it touched Somebody. #and isnt that what we all strive for!!!!!! isn't that one of the reasons why we create!!!!!!!!!! to connect!!!!!!!!!!!! #idk. idk im so soooooo so tired im stepping off my soapbox rn #its almost 1 am. ive been trying to fix my sleep schedule. has not happened. at all. #winter speaks
