Hey mika!! there you are! it’s twine again! i got… another letter? someone seems to really like you! now i’m going back to mailing all these other little letters out, talk to you later! 🦌
Dearest Mika,
Hello my love; I’ve missed your darling face. Everytime I walk past the flower shops in Liyue city I resist the urge to purchase a lovely bouquet for you. However i’m too unsure of your favorite flower that I cannot allow myself. Too embarrassed to ask directly, I send you this letter instead. Would you like to meet me at Qingce Village for a date? Perhaps then we can finally discuss your favorite flower so I can finally surprise you with that bouquet, hm? This time I’ll stick with a sweet dessert for you instead. Perhaps something we can share as we watch the sun fall to rest together.
My heart aches when I think of not being with you, Mika. Is it bittersweet of me to hope you feel the same? But when the cats along the harbor rub against my leg, inquiring me for a bit of attention, I sheepishly admit it reminds me of you. Safe to say since meeting you i’ve become a bit of a cat person, I wasn’t always fond of them. I hope that warms your heart some.
Yours and only yours,

Love, Live, Life
This is the twelfth chapter of Everyday Heroes.
If you like what I do and woudld like to support me, why not buy me a coffee?
Hanzo loved his life and his job.
Or at least he loved it half of the time and the other half was spent trying not to strangle his teammates. Missions came and went as the world continued to produce low-tier villains. Honestly, most of them couldn’t even think of comparing to Talon’s antics and the former members of Talon made sure to let it be known. Especially Sombra with her endless amount of blackmail which somehow found its way onto global news, exposing more than a few wannabees.
Nonetheless, Hanzo enjoyed the thrills and the rush of being an agent. Tip toeing on the line between life and death with danger around every corner.
But when his job interferes with his home life, especially when it pertains to his children, that’s when his mood took a turn for the worse.
“Four months,” he said dryly. “You want us to go on an undercover mission for four months.”
To Winston’s credit, he didn’t flinch as the elder Shimada all but breathed fire in front of him. Years of being on the receiving end of the infamous Shimada glare gave him a partial immunity. However, it didn’t make the silent judgement in Hanzo’s eyes any less intimidating. And if he took a slight pleasure in seeing the scientist squirm, it didn’t show on his face.
“You must understand, Agent Shimada. There are remnants of Vishkar compounds located in this urban area and we need our best to gather information and root it out.”
Of course, it just had to be Vishkar. Ever since Lucio’s movement hit an all time high the company had been on the run from its many enemies. Most of their headquarters were broken down by the people or closed by government officials. Anyone affiliated with them was forced into hiding because of public opinion but it didn’t stop them from trying to help.
Hanzo rubbed his temples and took in a deep breath. The words he wanted to say were along the line of ‘find someone else’. They rested on the tip of his tongue only to die when a warm arm wrapped around his shoulders. Leaning into Jesse’s touch, Hanzo grumbled and slipped his arm around the cowboy’s waist, pulling him close. Jesse’s hand rubbed along his shoulder in a soothing circular pattern, soft kisses pressed to the top of his head and his cheek eased the beginnings of a headache.
Ever so helpful, Jesse interjected with a peculiar idea. “Wouldn’t it be a better idea to pose as a family in its entirety?”
Hanzo tilted his head up to look at his husband confusedly. Jesse noticed and winked at him, continuing with a broad smile, keeping his tone firm and business-like.
“Two married men and their boys, wanting to make a start in a new town, there’s something cookie cutter about that, eh?”
Hanzo almost laughed but the image Jesse painted was far too vivid. A nice house, big enough for the four of them, with a large backyard for their boys to tumble around in. They could adopt a few dogs. Three at the least.
Perhaps Akitas.
Yes, akitas was were good, and their boys weren’t allergic.
And they had been asking for pets for awhile.
He would drive the boys to school, Jesse would pick them up in the afternoon. He’d wake up to the smell of Jesse’s cooking, and spend the morning listening to his family bicker, laugh, and plan the day. The irritation that he might’ve felt evaporated and a lazy smile formed.
Winston was steadily nodding along with what Jesse was telling him and from the confident smile on the cowboy’s voice, he was gaining ground. Hanzo made a mental note to give his husband a very good night kiss for this. Even if it wouldn’t last for very long, the idea of having time for his family and his job made Hanzo remember just how much he loved his life.

I mentioned doing a fic A While Ago centered around Erell and Avanna, and only just now got around to posting anything abt it because I’m a lazy fuck and writer’s block and demotivation are the bane of my existence TFTGHJDFG
I still need a title, lel. First chapter out of god knows how many.
“Do forgive me for this, dear sir.” The words were spoken in a deceptively sweet tone.
Being tasked with murder wasn’t always the most fun job. Avanna knew it all too well. True, it fetched a pretty penny, but the mess and having to dispose of the body after was always something of a pain. That was what went through the mercenary’s mind, her target’s throat slit before they collapsed to the ground.
A man whose own wife had called for the hit. Risen tensions and what had sounded to Avanna like abuse for the longest time, and after finding out he had been cheating the poor woman just couldn’t take it. Better for him to be dead than break another woman’s heart, she’d said.
And it is here she meets a man, completely by mistake but an encounter she won’t soon forget. A silver haired demon with crimson irises; He’d heard someone speaking. Out of a concern of being seen, with a blink, his eyes became a bright blue hue. A simple illusory trick.
Heaving out a sigh, she pulled out a handkerchief to clean the blood off her blade. She was about to slip the weapon back into her garter once it was cleaned, but the sound of footsteps made her freeze. Avanna spun to see the man at the front of the alleyway; He looked little more than surprised, but the mercenary still rushed forward to place the blade up against his throat.
“Listen closely. You saw nothing. Do you understand me?” The man looked at her in surprise for a moment, before he simply grinned.
“Dear me, did I interrupt something? I had no intention to speak.” Avanna slowly relaxed, but never once lowered her guard.
“Unless you intend to help me dispose of the body, leave.” A snicker.
“I was about to offer to handle it myself; I’m no stranger to these things. You should hurry home, no?” The knife lowered. Avanna’s eyes narrowed in suspicion.
“You’re odd… But if you truly wish to help, I won’t stop you. But before I go. Hand me his ring. My client will want proof he’s dead.” The man roots around for the jewelry, before handing it to her.
“What might your name be?” Green eyes pierced his in a suspicious look. It would be best not to give her full name.
“… Call me Avanna. I could ask the same of you, so I can thank you properly for your assistance later.” A pause, before the man laughed.
“Erell. Erell Fleur. It’s a pleasure.” Avanna only gave another nod, before darting past he and the corpse deeper into the system of alleyways. Erell watched her leave before glancing back at the dead man.
“Mmh... Shame his soul has long since dissipated.” He hadn’t even gotten around to his nightly hunt. Whatever this guy did, must have been particularly nasty for a hit to be called upon him. As for the body... Well, he could always burn it. Or throw it to some hellhound or another.
She had said she would thank him in some way, but in his mind... It wasn’t really needed. As long as he was having some fun, he could really care less. But such a young looking lady getting involved in such business? Erell was growing curious. But with a sigh, he lifted himself, shrugging the matter off before disappearing with the body in tow.
Once Avanna had returned home and gotten into something not bloodstained, she was approached by Ciela as she sat and read for a bit before going to bed.
Ciela rubbed her eyes; Given how late it was, Avanna was surprised her older sister had stayed up awaiting her return. It was a habit she still hadn’t broken, even after all these years... But she could understand why to an extent. Even though Euron was a city of scholars and scientific advancements, criminals were common. Ava could protect herself, but Ciela would still worry for her little sister.
“Hey, Ava. Work go well?”
“Yes. Though... I was spotted. He said he had no intention to speak.” Ciela looked a little concerned regardless, watching her younger sister mark her spot in her book before leaning back in thought. “Something of an oddball as well.”
“How so?” Came the older’s inquiry, concern fading slightly into curiosity. Avanna could only give a little shrug.
“He said he was ‘no stranger’ to what I do. That, and he told me he would handle the body on his own. Can’t say I’ve ever had someone offer such...” A small huff. “I’m considering thanking him for it. Give him a bit of the profit, perhaps?” Ciela smiled faintly. She could understand why the younger woudld be a little troubled.
“That, or ask him what he’d want in return... Within reason, of course. That’s what I would do.” A hum from Ava, eyes darkened somewhat in thought.
“The problem will be hunting him down again. I learned his name at the very least, and I never forget a face... But that’s all I know.”
“That is a problem... Maybe ask around about him the next chance you get?” Ciela spoke, unsure as to what else to say. Perhaps during a slower work day where she didn’t have much to do, that could work. A nod from Avanna was the response to her suggestion.
“Making a note of that. Tomorrow I’ll have to contact my client, inform her the job’s been done. And then my blades seem to be getting dull, I’ll have to sharpen them a bit...” Ava began mentally listing off what all she had to do tomorrow; She could never be certain when another job would come in, either.
Ciela seemed to muffle a laugh. They could both be almost a little too focused on their work, but Ava had always been a bit more laid back about it. Though, when Ciela thought on it, it should have been the other way around. Her work was often easier than her younger sister; Her jobs very rarely involved any criminal acts. She was usually assigned to protect people, act as a bodyguard to important people traveling to nearby cities.
The two sat and spoke for a little longer before Ciela returned to her own room, and all was quiet again. Ava’s mind was still active, thinking on the events from earlier and how she would go about finding that man.
In the end she decided to sleep on it, scribbling out a small to do list before the lights were switched off.
