I’ve never not felt like a leopard. I’ve seen countless posts declaring a fear of a “disconnection” to one’s ‘type. I’ve never experienced this, but there are times when I just can’t focus on what being a leopard feels like.

I mean, I’m a leopard with two full time jobs working ~70 hrs a week. I simply don’t have time to be anything else. And I kinda hate that.

I hate that I have to set aside what I am and focus on “being human.”

There’s no point to this post other than me yelling into the void. I think I’ll try to dive more actively into the otherkin community to try to make nonhumanity a more prominent presence in my life again.

Angry that the body doesn't look nonhuman and doesn't work how it feels like it should. I should be able to climb the tree gracefully and hide there with my food, tear it apart with my teeth, and people should walk away cautiously when they notice me there. But nooo. I have to sit by the table, use fork and knife, and hear people talking about some boring shit I do not even care about.

It feels stupid. I can't even growl at them.

Okay!! So with a little bit of digging and a whole lot of research, I have (somewhat) come to the conclusion that my second theriotype is a black panther, jaguar specifically!

(Just me rambling about jaguars snd why i settled on that theriotype below)

Jaguars are water loving felines, they occasionally hunt in trees but mostly on the ground, they're solitary animals but not very territorial. They are not distance runners but instead ambush predators, when they attack they do not go for the throat but instead choose to bite the preys skull between the ears. They live in the America's but stay mostly south of the US and Canada, due to poaching and habitat loss. Unlike the leopard, their bodies are much broader and they usually have a heavier build, they also have rosettes in the middle of their spots.

I specifically feel like a black panther, I couldn't really say why but I fully see myself when I look at pictures of them, their eyes are my eyes and they move how I move. They're just creepy big cats and I love them so much. Words can't describe the euphoria I felt when I first thought of confirming this theriotype. I had a hard time distinguishing between a jaguar and a leopard for a bit but the jaguars aquatic habits, larger build, and specific method of hunting and killing is really what led me to believe that I'm not a leopard (even if they are so elegant)
