Wow, 8 years into Wonderous Surreal & Trippy Adventures with this Wonderful Program, that served as a Great start into the New Generations of Fascinating New cartoons, such as Ones on the Grand CN such as 'Regular Show', 'Uncle Grandpa', 'Steven Universe', 'OK K.O. Let's be Heroes', 'Over the Garden Wall', 'We Bare Bears', & 'Summer Camp Island', and for bringing other inspiring Cartoons from 2010 to Today on other Stations such as 'Bee & Puppycat', 'Gravity Falls', and your 'MLP: FiM'. And when I first Discovered this show, actually, I first discovered Finn's design on an old Nicktoons promo, back when the show's pilot episode was on Nick's 'Random Cartoons' show, and I was surprised that Cartoon Network picked it up for a Series, and when the 'Adventure Time' saying and logo came up, it got me thinking of Cartoon Network's old 'Flapjack' program (in which Pen Ward used to work on a program like that), and I was like "oh Boy, something Flapjack related I suppose", so I watched the Program, and after a Few Episodes, I find it quite Interesting, Heck, Fun Fact is that Flapjack's creator Thurop Van Orman worked on the show during Season 1-2 as Supervising producer, as well as doing Guest Voices for the Show as the Tree Witch & Kent. And the Show boasts some Great Cast such as Mr. Jeremy Shada, who I was surprised that he made a Voice role in 'Chowder' as Porridge, Good Ol' John DiMaggio, who's voice work always cheers me up sometimes, Legendry Tom Kenny, our Familiar SpongeBob Voice, and Ms. Olivia Olson, who I first discovered her as playing Vanessa Doofenshmirtz of 'Phineas and Ferb'. Plus the Program had some Good other Casts & Guest stars voicing characters such as Andy Samberg, Jenny Slate, Brian Doyle Murray, Weird Al Yankovic, Rich Fulcher, Donald Glover, Roz Ryan, Jessica DiCicco, Keith David, Justin Roiland, Lou Ferrigno, Ron Perlman, Martin Olson, etc. etc. etc. Along with some Good Guests Artists and Animators such as my Favorites, Celmation Hero Mr. James Baxter, who did some Guest Celmation and voicing his animated character James Baxter the Horse, and the Stop-Motion fav by Kristen Lepore, which should deserve Good awards for it. And I'm glad it's a Good change for Cartoon Network, like I said multiple times in other Drawings that I feel like I wanted Children of Today to see the 'Grand CN'(2010-Present) in a Totally Different Way, They should have Smooth Cel-Drawn (or Sometimes Digital Ink & Paint) Animation, Surrealism, and/or Surreal Humor (something Well-Written, Bananas, or Bonkers), Great Story-line (Like some Great Story-Arc, Mini-Series, or even Full Lenghted), Memorable Characters (Who are Smart, Fun-Loving, Caring, and/or Always Knowing their Destinies and/or True Purposes), and A-Little Dark-Themed (to Make Things more Dramatic and Serious). I'm Tired of Living in the past Where some Animated Programs have some Grotesque Imagery, Roughly Animations, and Comic Characters that are Silly and/or Stupid, It's Not Even Funny like in Old Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon, and Over-Using the Same Voice Actors for Different Roles in the Same Shows on the Same Programs, Bring in some New/Fresh Young Voices to the Stand. OR... In Other Words, Everything doesn't have to Be Mickey Mouse, Speed-It-Up Movements, or Slapstick Humor, for Cartoons Today. It's a Shame a Good show like this had to go Away, much like what happened with 'Uncle Grandpa' & 'Regular Show', and the Best part of it is, I Never loose Faith in the Program, even when it had some Dramatic Moments & Characters loosing their Touch, they do have some Redeeming Qualities if I watched further from episode to episode, and the First Mini-series for the Program such as 'Stakes' was a Good touch to it. And I really enjoyed the Finale when it first premiered, It was a Total Surprise when it comes to current AT Writers & Story artists working together in an Hour-Long Extravaganza. So as of Now, I am currently enjoying shows like 'Apple & Onion', 'Steven Universe', 'Craig of the Creek', 'Summer Camp island', & 'Big City Greens', and I will let the Spirit of 'Adventure Time' flow into my Heart & Inspiring Imaginations of both Young & Old, and for having it's Merchandise be Purchased & Sold in the stores of Hot Topic in your Shopping Malls, maybe Hopefully I will catch old episodes On-Demand soon. RIP ADVENTURE TIME(2010-2018)

Dussehra Festival: Know Interesting Facts, Beliefs, Faith and controversies

How will Indians celebrate another victory of truth over the devil this Dusshera Festival? Now you know!

Dussehra Festival is well-known for the legendry conquest of Ram over Ravan, which is symbolically defined as the triumph of truth over evil. However, most people today are unaware of why this religious event is celebrated under two different names; if you already know, please educate others. Yes, we’re talking about Dashehra, also known as Vijayadashami (another reason to celebrate this day is goddess Durga’s victory over Mahishasura; hence, the day is entirely dedicated to two great victories of truth over wickedness.

However, the first legend, related to Lord Ram explains before and afterlife of the big battle, second story reveals how goddess Durga took the form of Devi Katyayani and killed the humanity-destroyer (Mahisasur). Another important belief expresses that if Lord Ram had not defeated Ravana, the sun would have never risen again, which is what defines the Dassehra as Dash Hara in Sanskrit.

What exactly do people do and don’t do on Dussehra Festival to complete all religious rites?

In reciting Lord Ram as Dussehra:

The day of setting fire to Ravana’s epitome was always a joyous occasion for all Indians, whether they belonged to the Hindu religion or held other beliefs. Thousands of people visit the location to witness the awe-inspiring fireworks display the destruction of three statues including Ravana, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnath, which last at least two to three hours. And the crowd of thousands is setting their foot to the location (specially assigned big ground, Ram Leela Ground) just to see the whole Ram Leela act performed by the actors just before setting fire to the big statues, and the complete performance recites the legendry events, which happened hundreds of thousands of years ago.

However, the complete battle was fought with Ravana, who was considered evil; In some places, Ravana worshiped as a big devotee of Lord Shiva including the 6 states of India: Kangra (Himachal Pradesh), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh), Gadchiroli (Maharashtra), Mandya and Kolar (Karnataka), and Bisrakh (Uttar Pradesh).

In reciting goddess Durga as Ekadashi or Vijaya Dashmi:

Devotees, on the other hand, worship ‘Maa Durga’ with great love, reverence, and a special road show in her honour. Durga Puja, a popular form of her worship, began in Navratri and finished on the tenth day, Dussehra Festival.

The day culminates in a parade in which the clay sculpture-idols are ceremoniously transported to a river or the seaside for immersion rites, commemorating Durga’s victory over Mahishasura. Durga is said to return to Kailasha, her mythological marital palace, to Shiva and the cosmos in general after the immersion. On the tenth day, people exchange sweets and gifts and pay visits to friends and family. Some populations, such as those in the Varanasi area, visit a Durga temple on Ekadashi, the day after Vijaya dashami.

Sindoor khela’s activities were guided by another key principle. Sindoor khela, also known as Vijaya dashami, is a ceremony in which women apply sindoor (vermillion) to the goddess Durga’s sculpture and to each other.

Controversy among different believes that people want to change:

Animal sacrifice is a common criticism of Nepal’s Dussehra holiday, Dashain. On Change.org, a large number of online petitions have been created demanding government action to stop the mass slaughter. Thousands of animals and birds are ritually murdered, especially on the eighth and ninth days of the Dussehra Festival, in the belief that offering fresh blood will placate Goddess Durga. Goats, buffaloes, lambs, chickens, and ducks are among the birds and animals that have historically been sacrificed. Animal rights advocates have proposed using pumpkins and coconuts instead of birds and animals.

Let’s see some other facts that are totally different from what we know!

Arvind Trivedi, who played Ravan in the popular 1987 television series Ramayana, died at the age of 82. Even still, he had never imagined how his character role would become such an extraordinary part of his real life, and how the world would always remember his death around Dussehra (the death day of Ravana).

Ravana was a demon who was also a Brahmin. Ishwashrava, a sage from the Pulastya clan, was his father, while Kaikasi, his mother, was a demon.

Ravana obtained the blessing of immortality from Lord Brahma after thousands of years of meditation. However, it was later reduced to his life congregating around his navel. Ravana’s brother Vibhishana informed Lord Rama of this information, resulting in Ravana’s death.

Lord Rama is said to have performed the Chandi Homa Yajna to receive Goddess Durga’s blessings, and it was at this time that Goddess Durga bestowed her blessing and revealed to Lord Rama how to defeat Ravana.

Dussehra Festival is observed in Ashwin, the Hindu calendar’s tenth month, and signifies the change of seasons because it occurs in October or November.

Pandavas finish their exile: The Pandavas hid their weapons in the branches of the Shami tree during their exile, and when their exile was over, they returned to reclaim their weapons. Today, Ayudha puja is done to celebrate this incident during Dussehra, which is also known as Astra Puja (weapon worship) in some parts of North India, though with the passage of time, even machines and automobiles have taken their place in weapon worshipping rites.

Goddess Durga, according to legend, required enormous power, so all other Gods and Goddesses offered theirs to her, and she eventually vanquished the demon Mahishasura, turning Dussehra into Golu in Tamil Nadu.

Dussehra Festival is regarded as an auspicious day in Kerala for initiating children into the world of education. Youngsters aged three to five are launched into learning by having them write the mantra ‘Om Hari Shree Ganapathaye Namah’ on a tray of rice grains, and after this ritual, those children are given study equipment such as slates and pencils. In Malayalam, the ceremony is known as Ezhuthiniruthu.

Deekshabhoomi, not to be confused with Dussehra Festival, is a major day in Nagpur not just for Hindus but also for Buddhists, who believe King Ashoka converted to Buddhism on this day and commemorate it as Ashok Dashami.

For years I laboured under the misapprehension the title Voice Over was another employment opportunity offered by the mob. The other was in Stand Over.

I wasn’t sure if I should say “Voice Over” or “Voiceover”. I presumed one way was the old Sicilian style and the other a New York influence. I was concerned.

Everybody knows what Stand Over means with the mob. It means lots of standing around looking tough. Maybe a smoke drooping from your lower lip. You know the non-filter type. It’s always flopping around on the lip but never comes unstuck.

Stand Over means being able to block an entire doorway with your eyebrows. It means having friends in high places who are scared of what you might know. And scared friends in low places who might know all the details.

The title Stand Over isn’t meant to be taken literally. Sure the mob leans on people but that should be regarded as more of an incentive scheme.

These days Stand Over is a misnomer. Standing astride a person like some Colossus in a double breasted suit hardly fits the genteel approach favoured by most modern hitmen. (Advice to ex-spies; Don’t drink tea with strangers who smoke Russian cigarettes)

THE DILEMMA REMAINS

What Does A Voice Over Do? Unlike the aforementioned Stand Over, it’s highly unlikely that a Voice Over will pull a gun on you and demand all your money. Or even do their best Colossus of Roads impression. Unless you would like to hear an audio interpretation of that legendry oversized Greek.

A Voice Over is an audio actor. A person who articulates the words crafted by a scriptwriter on subjects ranging from breakfast cereal to more interesting topics such as the mating habits of newts and more. Stay tuned for the special expose on banning TV reporting of live coral spawning until after 10pm.

So if you need of a Voice Over, to whom do you turn? Someone to breathe life into the script for your radio or TV commercial. A talent who can create interest in a presentation on any topic.

Why Did I Pick These People For My Video?

Denzel Washington

Denzel is in an inspiration to me because of how seriously he takes his craft. Denzel never aspired to be an actor when he was young, and it was only when he was down on his luck and at his lowest point, where he decided to take the risk and pursue acting. Once he committed himself to the art, he put his heart and soul into being the best actor he could be and has now gone on to be in some of the best movies of all time and win two Oscars. He has also used his fame to spread a positive message to others, about hard work, consistency, and discipline, which is why I often listen to his interviews and speeches intently.

Serena Williams

The reason I chose Serena Williams for the video is because she is the perfect example of hard work from a young age, leading to success in the future. Serena didn’t start off with much, but she worked hard and trained many years to reach the very highest level. She broke down so many racial barriers in Tennis and in sports in general, simply by being as dominant as she is. She’s is now looked as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, as well as one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Elon Musk

The reason I chose to include Elon Musk in my video is because he is one of the greatest thinkers of our time. He uses his money to constantly to try to create cool and innovative things. He is a man who thinks in the future and want’s to push us into a greater tomorrow. He has already left a massive footprint on the world and looks to only increase that footprint as time goes by, with projects such as Tesla, Space X, The Boring Company and Paypal. His mind is truly like no other and he inspires me to think bigger and not limit myself to others expectations.

Bruce Lee

The reason I chose Bruce Lee for the video is because of his philosophies on life as well as his teaching’s on martial arts. Bruce Lee became an icon through his many successful movies but was also a teacher to many and inspiration to millions. Even though his time on this earth was short lived, he made a massive impact with the time that he had, and no one has been quite able to replicate his impact on cinema and martial art’s since.

John Lennon

The reason I chose John Lennon for the video is because he was someone who came from a tough background and became not only one of the greatest musician of all time, but also one the greatest thinkers of his generation. Through his music, he spread a message of peace, love and prosperity and went on to create of the greatest and iconic songs of all time. He could easily could have played it and made simple music, with a safe message, but instead a lot of the time he challenged listeners and helped revolutionize the sound music.

Robin Williams

The reason I chose Robin Williams for the video is because of how the legacy he left behind in the comedy world as well as the acting world. Robin is such an influential figure because of his bright personality, his many iconic performances and his effect on those he worked with. Despite his many demons, Robin always tried his hardest to make those around him smile, which was such a selfless act for someone who was clearly in pain for many years.

Conan O’Brien

The reason I chose Conan O’Brien for the video is mostly because of his part in the early years of The Simpsons. In my opinion, when Conan was part of the writing team for the Simpsons, that’s when the show was at it’s best. When he was part of the writing team, The Simpsons was the best TV show on the air and was a strong contender for being the greatest show of all time. Conan has also gone onto being one of the best talk show hosts of all time and is still providing audiences with funny, smart and witty content still to this day.

Will Smith

The reason I chose Will Smith for the video is because of how he transitioned from being the first rapper to win a Grammy, to being a TV star, to being a blockbuster movie star, to being a two time Oscar nominee. Will Smith is a very multi-talented person who take his craft very seriously. He is one of the hardest working people in the industry to date and his way of thinking Is truly inspiring. He doesn’t consider himself to be “talented” but rather he sees himself as “skilled” because he works constantly to be the best at what he does, which is very inspiring, especially since I grew up on his TV shows and movies.

Dave Chappelle

The reason I chose to include Dave Chapelle in my vide is because of his evolution as a person, as well as a comedian. At the height of his fame and popularity, he rejected fifty million dollars and moved to Africa, because he longer wanted to be a puppet to the TV industry. Him rejecting this money and moving away led people to thinking he had gone crazy, but in actuality, he realized taking that money would have cost him soul and his integrity. Dave rejected the money and spent many years finding himself, learning new things and enjoying his freedom. He then came back to the mainstream and has returned better than ever. He’s funnier and he’s wiser now. It takes a very honourable person to reject a large amount of money, if that money comes with going against your beliefs and morals. I think a lot of people would have taken the money, and I think that’s what makes Dave so special in my eyes.

Kobe Bryant

The reason I chose Kobe Bryant for the video is mostly because of his legendry work ethic and his unrelenting passion to win at all means. Not many people on earth wanted to be successful like Kobe. He was a person who took his craft very seriously, almost to the point where he had it worked down to an exact science. Whenever Kobe spoke, you could hear how much he loved basketball and how much respect he has for the sport. Kobe is the epitomizes what it means to have an unbridled passion for something. Only the luck ones are able to find something they’re so passionate about, that they will put their heart and soul into it every day, and that was Kobe. And even after retirement, Kobe kept working, he became a creative and used his legendary work ethic to create interesting projects away from basketball, which even resulted in him winning an Oscar.

Nelson Mandela

The reason I chose Nelson Mandela for the video is because he truly was a freedom fighter who fought for what he believed in. He gave up many years of his life, fighting for equality and justice. He fought against prejudice and was eventually elected president of South Africa after spending twenty-seven years of his life in Jail. Nelson’s story has inspired billions across the world and is one which will be told for many years to come. He is someone who never have up on what he believed in, and in the end he was rewarded for his efforts.

Steve Jobs

The reason I chose to include Steve Jobs in my video, is because he was one of the greatest innovators of all time. He changed the scope of technology and smartphones forever. Without Steve jobs we wouldn’t have apps and games on our phones, he was the one to think of these ideas and put them out there, even though everyone told him it wouldn’t work. Steve was also the one who made computer more personalized and was the one who strived for normal people to have computers in their home. After getting fired from his own business, he never gave up his ambitions and continued to innovate. His hard work led him to being rehired as CEO of apple once again and in turn led to the revival of Apple as a company. He may not have been the best guy personally, but his mind and drive are what make his someone to respect.

Audrey Hepburn

The reason I chose Audrey Hepburn for the video, is because of her passion for the art of acting and her multi-talented skill set. Not only was she a talented Actress, she was also a fashion icon, a wonderful singer, a sublime dancer and innovator in the craft. Away from the performing art’s she was an incredible humanitarian, often spending her latter years helping those less fortunate in poor countries. She would often use her celebrity for good and as a means to bring attention to issues involving poverty, violence and War, which is very commendable.

Malcom X

The reason I chose Malcom for the video is because despite his controversial takes, he was someone who strived for justice and equality for black people. He was someone who made mistakes in his past and re-invented himself into someone people would want to follow and listen. He was a great speaker who was instant on making sure his people were treated fairly and got the respect and equal opportunity they deserved. He was fearless in his pursuits and became an icon who died fighting for what’s right.

Oprah

The reason I chose to include Oprah in my video is because of how she rose from the traumatic and hard childhood, to being a billionaire and one of the most influential people who has ever live. Oprah didn’t let her past dictate her future and she worked hard to get where she is now. Oprah is a true underdog story and she proves that if you’re unrelenting in your ambition and believe in your talent and worth, then you can rise from any hardship and achieve your goals.

Martin Luther King Jr.

The reason I chose Martin Luther King for the video is because he was a man who fought for was right. He fought against racism using peaceful tactics and was a man who felt love was solution over hate. He was and still is an inspiration to millions and his words and speeches still live on to this day. Martin was a man who knew the risks of speaking out against racism but still did it anyway, which unfortunately was the reason he died at such a young age. However, his message still lived on through the man lives he inspired. Martin was a brave and intelligent man, who had a dream for himself and his people, and he did everything in his power to make that dream come true, even if that came at the cost of his life.

James Baldwin

The reason I chose James Baldwin for the video is because of how he used his very skilled writing to talk about the injustice in America towards African American people. In James writing you can truly feel the pain and anger leap of the screen. He was a thinker that was as conservational as he was talented. James was not afraid to give his unfiltered take on racism and discrimination, and he did so with a high-level writing prowess, bravery and dignity.

Muhammad Ali

The reason I chose to include Muhammad Ali in the video is because he issues someone who stood up for his own beliefs, at the cost of his career. Not only was he the greatest boxer of all time in my opinion, he was also one of the most entertaining sportsmen to ever live. You never knew what he was going to say next and his box style was truly one of a kind. But aside from being an incredible athlete, he was also a very vocal activist and was unreserved when it came to talking the plight of black people in America. By him refusing to go to Vietnam, he was suspended for a large chunk of his prime and had his belts takeaway. Despite this, he never relented on his stance against the Vietnam war and in the end, inspired millions to voice their own objections to the war.
