KnY Terms of Address
...well this took a long time.
But, since I spend a lot of my fanfic writing time looking back up little details like where stuff like "-chan" and "-sama" gets used among the Kimetsu no Yaiba cast, I figured this would be something that could help a lot of writers who like to include the Japanese terms of address.
As you can glean a lot of characterization from this, I also included additional explanation and light analysis where it felt necessary, so even if you're not a fanfic writer you might find it interesting.
As it got kind of long, I've put it all in a Google Doc:
List of KnY Characters' Terms of Address (Google Doc)
While I suggest reading the preamble and notes and then using search functions on the document, here is the list of characters by page number (below the cut).
For other KnY fanfic resources/analysis I've compiled (like the monster I am), please see here.

What about sabito, urokodaki sakonji and tanjiros swordsmith? (jffghjf sorry I forgot dudes name)
Urokodaki means “scales waterfall”. Scales as in fish scales, not the one you use for weighting things. One guess for what his breath element is. Sakonji would mean something like“at the left side, close the next one”. Which is sorta nonsense and I can’t find a good pun in it. However, Sakonji is a real name (although a real family that Urokodaki has as his given name), and it happens to be the name of a really old (maybe 14th century) and notorious clan of armourers, so maybe the name came from that.
As for the ghost kids, Sabito is “rusting rabbit” and Makomo is Manchurian wild rice.
Now the swordsmiths:
Tanjirou’s swordsmith: Family name Haganezuka meaning “steel iron mound”, given name Hotaru meaning firefly (hence why Tanjirou mentions he has a cute name). The “mound” part is a kanji commonly used in names, so ignore it as usual.
Inosuke’s swordsmith: Family name Kanamori meaning “iron hole forest”, given name Kouzou meaning “steel owner”. Possibly the only character in the series with two real names.
The kid from the swordsmith village: Kotetsu meaning “small iron”.
Head of the swordsmiths: Family name Tecchikawahara meaning “iron land riverbed”, given name Tecchin meaning “iron curious”. Unbelievably enough, Tecchikawahara is a real name.
Same iron kanji in all of them, and alliterative names for all except little Kotetsu who only has one name.
