in general, i think korekiyo ships with the other person doing his hair or vice versa are always super cute! my friend and i really like the idea of kiyo and kaede (platonic or romantic!) because they're each our favorites, but just like.. imagine them rambling about their interests (anthropology and piano) to each other and the other person just.. watching their eyes light up as they do so and finding it endearing.. especially since people used to think they were both weird for their talents 🥺

I have never considered Kiyo and Kaede before (not even platonically oddly enough dhdbdn no think) but omg gonna add it to the list haha

Thought of this lovely concept today while I daydreamed a headache away,,

Kiyo accidentally confesses their crush on kaede while going on a passionate ramble about how truly human she is and at the end they accidentally say (inspired by Nagito sorry not sorry)

“Ah akamatsu,, I am truly in love with the humanity inside you!!”

Which makes everyone go silent

Kiyo realizes what they said

They go bright red and get the hell out of there

“W-why did I say that?! It sounded like a love confession oh dear,, I did not mean to scare her away,, now you’ve really done it,,”

“W-wait,,, was,, was that a love confession? Am I in love with akamatsu?!”

This leads to Kiyo locking themselves in their dorm for hours questioning their own intelligence.

They go out for a bit just to get food and kaede finds them. She grabs them by the arm so they don’t run away. They won’t even face her. They’re bright red and can barely speak.

“Kiyo, I need to know what that was. That,,that confession of yours. I need to know what it meant”

“…”

“Kiyo? Kiyo could you please look at me,, talk to me?”

Finally they look at her, looking almost worried despite their flustered expression.

“Was that just you liking my humanity like you said? Or was it… was it maybe a love confession? I don’t mind either but,, I need to know I-“

“I don’t know,,”

“Kiyo?”

“I don’t know what it was,, I- I don’t really know what being in love is supposed to feel like or if that is what I’m experiencing right now,, my apologies but,, I cannot give you an answer.. I just don’t know.”

“Hmm,, well how about we try..dating.”

Kiyo is shocked. Like super shocked. Date? Kaede? Kaede wants to date them? They’ve never been asked out before.

“Date?”

“Yeah! You know like boyfriend and girlfriend? If that’s ok with you? I think it can help you figure out what your confession really was. I think I already know but,, I want you to figure it out for yourself.”

“A-ah,, okay. Date yes. That,, that works for me. So that would make you my,,,,”

“Girlfriend.”

“A-“

“And you’re my boyfriend. That sound good to you?”

They nod.

So together they go over boundaries and such. You know what they’re both alright with so that they know.

And when the relationship starts it’s a bit strange. First kaede is constantly showing Kiyo affection and initiating touch but Kiyo is not. She talks to them, tells them it’s alright for them to show affection too.

But,, they’re just doing what she does to them. That’s not what she wants. She wants Kiyo to love her how they show their love. So she talks to them.

This is when things get good.

Kiyo is quite affectionate. They hug her from behind lots. They will randomly grab her face and stare into her eyes dead silent before saying “kiss?”

They like to put a sheet on their head and scare her, pretending that they’re a ghost.

She likes to hold their hand, pet them, hug them but really bury her face into them. They love that.

She likes to hold their hand a lot. It doesn’t matter what they’re doing. They don’t mind at all.

I need to sleep now since I keep typing things wrong and my eyes are not focusing on anything.
