A “Countdown to Christmas” Art Challenge!

What I can do:

Aesthetics - may take some time, if you have a specific image you wanted used please send it to me. I would also appreciate being sent a link to where I can find transparent background images for characters/ships in it.

Stimboards - also may take some time, I can only do them on my laptop so I can be able to source the images without the struggle of switching between apps and dealing with mobile browser tumblr.

Knit/crochet/sewing patterns - a few patterns for knitting, crochet or sewing picked out for you. Please be specific in what you want (amigurumi/plushies, clothing, accessories, etc.), skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and any other specifics (ex. plus size friendly for clothing patterns, only weight 4 yarn for knitting/crochet, no long projects). You can also specify if you want free patterns only or if paid is okay.

Requesting guidelines:

- Requests will be closed when I have 10 or more in the inbox, and will be opened again once it gets back to zero. However, inbox will always be open in case anyone has questions or anything.

- Do not put more than one request in the same ask or make more than three requests at once.

I'm 20 and my gender is anime femboy shota. I have delusions and may possibly be a system (the questioning is mostly just denial at this point but I'm stubborn about denial even when I know it's denial).

If I block you it's not always something you did, if you mention kinning some of my delusions in your blog (like in bio, title, url, etc.) or have them as delusions as well or a fictive of them I might block for my own safety. I also block if any ask comes across as passive aggressive since passive aggression directed towards me is a trigger, so if you didn't mean it that way I am sorry! The elusive Ryoji garage kit (and others)

I found the sculptor's blogs & Twitter, which has more info about these garage kits + pics of their prototypes & 3D models :D!!!

Mini Kitaro was sold fully painted & assembled, he was made using colored 3D printing.

It seems Ryoji was originally sculpted by hand & then recreated in digital for sale in 2014. Looks like only 1-2 were planned to be brought to the event because they had some problems with his production (He was supposed to be on sale in 2012, poor thing)

Now, the pics of this kit that are floating around is actually the hand-sculpted prototype, which was in exhibition in 2013 at Treasure Festa. It's quite different from the actual GK!

Hand position changes from his shoulder to grabbing his scarf, he's looking at the viewer instead, leg rests on the pillar rahter than on the rock (which was removed and changed to a broken pillar) and the sword is thinner.

It looks the hand-sculpted prototype was the "final", but they kept going back and forth changing things. Ryoji got banned from one WonFest because Sky (the Gk circle name, tho it's just 1 peron as far I know) didn't present the prototype in time lol

Then in those 2 years, they learnt digital sculpting and made the ones for sale 3D printed. I wonder how many did they made in the end….

The mini!! The flocked effect is a 3D printing deffect/quirk, but I find it so cute there...

Sky made a mini series of these, but he was the only Persona one. They also made a tiny bust of FeMC & a chibi figure of Pharos, but what I read is pretty much what's everywhere else. Their blog has more info/pics of their Elizabeth & Mitsuru, but I'm not as interested in them.

Sorry I've been kinda AWOL lately. I got into a couple anime series, Demon Slayer and Gegege no Kitaro 2018, and I've been on a binge ever since.

I def didn't do things this often before lockdown, and frankly It's bizarre that this is how some people actually live. Working and also doing stuff? Multiple social things outside your home? Every week? All the time?? How tf do you have so many spoons (please share)???

Most of my free time in the last couple weeks has been spent recharging (i.e. staring into space/pacing around my apartment while chillin in immersive daydream land) in anticipation of the next days activity, which is why I haven't been on the blog very much. Ngl it's been kinda nice having a lot of strictly personal f/o time? I think when all these out-and-about events are over, I need to make a commitment to watch more (new) anime and cool it on the american reruns. Exploring the Enchanting Kitaro-chaya: A Traditional Japanese Corner Shop and Art Gallery

Location: Jindai-ji Motomachi, Chofu City, Tokyo, Japan Timestamp: 14:00 on July 19, 2023

Nestled gracefully along the main approach to the Jindaiji Temple in Chofu City, Tokyo, the Kitaro-chaya has a nice rustic charm. This wooden structure, standing for over five decades, offers a quaint tea room with a simple menu of only 5 items that incorporate traditional Japanese sweets with green tea, and vanilla ice cream. As you step inside, a small gallery showcases the drawings of the legendary Shigeru Mizuki, who dedicated over half a century to creating the “GeGeGe-no-Kitaro” manga world from the heart of Chofu, Tokyo.

The building also includes a small gift shop featuring the beloved characters of "GeGeGe-no-Kitaro,” one of Japan’s most famous monster manga created by Mizuki.

Many of Mizuki’s creations have been adapted for the screen several times as anime, live action TV/film productions, and video games. Mizuki spent the last 50 years of his life here in Chofu city working on his creations until is passing on November 30, 2015.

Quick question, does Mizuki ever grow to like kitaro? What happens to him after Kitaro leaves him. Does he regret not being nicer?

I like to think that he does care for him but he’s also scared of him, and Kitaro doesn’t understand because it’s his Yokai nature to act the way he does. Maybe Mizuki comes of cold towards him because as he grows older he becomes more afraid. I’m sure later on he regrets not being nicer towards him because maybe if he had been Kitaro would have turned out differently. I dunno I think about them a lot 😭 Ty for the ask tho ♥️♥️
