Samurai Action Gets Bloody In "Blade Of The Immortal" Red Band Trailer
The live-action adaptation of Hiroaki Samura’s manga samurai manga Blade of the Immortal has been acquired for North American distribution by Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures and they now plan to what's being called the 100th film by Takashi Miike (which follows his direction credits on IMDB) on November 3rd. A new, red-band (restricted, as opposed to those all audience green-band) shows off the kind of blood and guts action that Miike is famous/infamous for.
The manga has been released in North America by Dark Horse. Its adaptation features

Rin Asano: Hana Sugisaki (Reiko Kanazuki in Ouran High School Host Club)
Kagehisa Anotsu: Souta Fukushi (Gentaro Kisaragi in Kamen Rider Fourze)

Live-Action "Blade Of the Immortal" Manga Adaptation Finds American Distributor
With its Cannes film festival screening, the live-action adaptation of Hiroaki Samura’s manga samurai manga Blade of the Immortal has been acquired for North American distribution by Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures. A 2017 release is planned for what's being called the 100th film by Takashi Miike (which follows his direction credits on IMDB).

"Blade of the Immortal" Music Video Collaboration Trailer Highlights Action Scenes
The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiroaki Samura's Mugen no Junin/Blade of the Immortal action jidaigeki manga has released a two-minute clip featuring each main characters' action scenes and Japanese guitarist MIYAVI's performance of the film's theme song "Live to Die Another Day -Sonzai Shoumei (Existence Proof)-" newly written by him.
MIYAVI is internationally known for his finger-slapping guitar plays. The song will be included in his new best album "ALL TIME BEST 'DAY 2'" to be released this Wednesday, April 5. He is now touring in the U.S., and his next concert is scheduled to be held at The Neptune Theatre, Seattle, on April 4.
The Takashi Miike-directed film is set for a release in Japan on April 29, 2017.

"Blade of the Immortal" Live-Action Film Full Trailer Posted for April 29 Release
The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiroaki Samura's Mugen no Junin/Blade of the Immortal action jidaigeki manga has updated with a main visual featuring its cast members in costume, and also posted a 90-second full trailer introducing the theme song "Live to Die Another Day -Sonzai Shoumei (Existence Proof)-" performed by 35-year-old Japanese guitarist MIYAVI who is known for his finger-slapping guitar plays. The song will be included in his new best album "ALL TIME BEST 'DAY 2'" to be released on April 5.
(Since 44-year-old Takuya Kimura who is cast the protagonist Manji is managed by Johnny & Associates that does not allow any internet media to use photos or images of their idols, the main visual and any of his photos from the film are not available legitimately on the web except on the film's official website).
The Takashi Miike-directed film is set for a release in Japan on April 29, 2017.
