i actually really like romanian food, i never eat it here bc i don't like to cook it and this way whenever i go back home i still have such beautiful associations with the food and the ties that bind it to my life and childhood. but my favourite food is a dessert, and it's called papanași, which is this like donut-y thing made with dough and cheese and fried, then topped with homemade blueberry jam and cream 😩 it's so good i'm salivating just thinking about it

as far as locations, romania is genuinely one of the most beautiful countries in the world (and i say this as someone who's not patriotic at all hahahaah)

parks!!! i wasn’t a huge fan of parks and outdoorsy stuff before but 2022 and this year has been such a big hit to my mental health that i’ve started outside and appreciate nature more, and it’s makes me happy

the sims 😂 i actually forgot how much i love the sims too, i haven’t played in a while bc no motivation but i’ve also been playing since i was like 8

theme parks!!! i love theme parks from the rides, to the lore, and food. i can tell you pretty much everything about disney and universal history. Those are my happy places

I think the best gifts always come from my boyfriend. The first birthday i had after meeting him was only a couple months into knowing him, and he made me the lantern from Tangled bc he knew it’s my favourite disney movie and on it it said “you’re my new dream” and it showed me what an amazing guy he was, and he’s never stopped being less amazing!!!

(2/2) okay i just finished this love but i had to stop reading half way through because i kept on crying about the other ending you really wrecked me 💀 ANYWAY i love this love it was so cute i wish i could put notes and annotate your chapters just like wattpad because i always have so much to say about every line but i can’t because of tumblr set up 😭 both chapters were honestly so amazing!!! but im a fucking masochist so i have to say i favored ocean and engines more especially since you intended it as the original ending it was just too good and a curveball and i love the angst idc if it broke me

i feel like i always give you the same compliments but i dunno how other way to phrase it (which is why i wish i could annotate so i can elaborate more on my thoughts/opinions) but seriously YOU DID FUCKING GREAT no lie it was such a smart and innovative move to create two different endings but keep the same structure for both i think that really speaks to your writing abilities!!! i am so proud of you because your progression is mind blowing, with each chapter i feel like you are just raising the bar high (and i mean this in a good way, not to add any pressure) im so glad that you’re proud of this too because you should be!!! ugh you’re fantastic bestie!!! you evoke such powerful emotions 🥹 im literally going to be thinkjng about cruel summer for the entire weekend that literally changed me life this is going to be one of those fics i think about randomly in 5 years from now, love u bestie 😭😭

i favoured oceans and engines a lot more too, it was the ending i always wanted to write, and i wrote it in like 3 days, the rest of the week i struggled with this love bc i can't write fluff omg hahahah but I do like how it turned out, especially in the context of oceans and engines - i basically looked at it exactly like i said in the chapter, like alternate universes. i took inspiration a little from the ending scene in la la land, and i'm curious if anyone will pick up on it

oh, so many of them. i don't consider myself a good writer at all still, and i'm always amazed by the people i meet in here and their grasp on vocabulary and ability to evoke and instil emotion with words. i'm learning from them every day and that's why i love being on here so much <3

💭 What is a headcanon you have about your own work?

hmmm, let's see in cardigan, and that's something that i hope will see the light of day with the oneshot, but Neteyam becomes toruk makto when the war with the sky people reaches new heights. as we know, in illicit affairs it is mentioned they were attacked by toruk when they were young, so that was toruk choosing neteyam x (this is not the same toruk as in avatar, but the offspring of that toruk!) for cruel summer, a headcannon i have is that neteyam always visits the beach that they made "their own" on awa'atlu, every time something happens in his life he wishes he could tell vol about

hiii andra bb how are you today?!? okay so i was at bookstore buying a new book and i was looking at the jane austen section and i remembered how cardigan had a lot of great literary quotes (which i love sm it is one of my favorite details) ANYWAY which leads to this question: what are your favorite books?? any books that have inspired you/currently inspire your writing?? pls share some recs! 🙈

Hey Kendra bb I was just about to sleep but i need to answer you first bc priorities x how are you my love?? 💕💕

I actually used to read a lot more when i was younger and had more time, it’s something I constantly feel guilty about, but i am hoping i can start reading more soon. In terms of recs, i read a LOT of poetry, and my favourite literary movements are the decadent and symbolist movements, so i would recommend Les Fleurs du Mal by Baudelair, it’s one of my favourite collections of poems. There’s also so many incredible romanian poets in this movement that I adore and I wish their poems were properly translated bc they are phenomenal 🥲i also love Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath, i never quite outgrew my Sylvia Plath phase, and my favourite poems of hers are Tulips and Lazy Lazarus.

I actually like fantasy books, so I love A Song of Ice and Fire and The Witcher, I also love Dune, I think they are great ways to think and expand on one’s understanding of world building! I also loved Kafka on the Shore, very trippy book.

In terms of more classics, I love 1984, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Lolita, Moby Dick, Of Mice and Men, Don Quixote, In Cold Blood, Crime and Punishment. There’s a lot more but I feel like that’s a lot more than you asked for hahahaha.
