3. What was their first impression of each other?

I think Ajax was a little wary at first, mostly necause Keegan is... Keegan. Not very social, a little bit of a resting bitch face, probably, doesn't talk much and keeps his distance. Though I think eventually he's like "actually, I'm gonna try and talk to him, he seems kinda lonely." and then he sees Keegan for who he actually is; just someone that's not all that talkative, and maybe a little shy.

I think Keegan was overwhelmed by Ajax at first. Because the dude is just so... welcoming and accepting. Like this guy approaches him, and he's just.. treating him with so much kindness, so much love right off the bat. And he makes everything look so easy. He's honest and optimistic, and just someone who's good at giving others a boost when they need it.

4. Who initiates affection? Why does the other not initiate affection as much?

I think, at least at first, Ajax would be the one to initiate affection more. I see him as a friendly, sociable guy who doesn't mind casual affection, even with friends. And he's probably better at being clear and upfront about his feelings and what he wants. I think Keegan craves the affection (touch starved go brrr) but he's a little more on the awkward side and isn't as good at voicing what he wants. There's probably been a couple misunderstandings because of it, but they're able to sort them out eventually.

14. Do they enjoy PDA, or are they more private with affection

More on the private side, I'd think. Not that they're totally against PDA, they just prefer having their moments to themselves, being able to let their guards down and just. Actually spend some time being in love, y'know?

41. What would they do if they lost the other?

We already see what happens when Keegan loses Ajax. He's merciless in the journey to find him, and when they lose him, he's somber, but still focused. Ajax was clearly very dear to him, and I feel like he put all of that anger into the missions. He wasn't as outwardly aggressive going forward, but I definitely think his driving force, outside of just surviving, was "this is for Ajax."

If Ajax was to lose Keegan... I think we'd see much of the same thing, though Ajax would wear a little more of his heart on his sleeve. He probably wouldn't be forgiving to any Federation Soldier, and he'd definitely jump at the chance to rough up Rorke, if it was to be a sort of roleswap. (Also in that case, I think Ajax would still be warm to Logan and Hesh, but there's an air of bitterness around him, and Keegan would clearly be a sensitive topic for him.)

I think they become part of each other's reason to fight, outside of them just being very stubborn and defiant. They're careful because they want to return to the other in one piece. So when one of them doesn't return, it adds a whole tonne of fuel to the already raging fire. It's the last straw for them both.

I think they always talk about it. They see themselves as a package deal, where you can find one, you'll probably find the other. Not that they're not independant, they just enjoy being together. They got through Sand Viper together, and they always made it their goal to retire together. They probably had entire plans built up over the years, even if some were just jokes. And now Keegan is left to travel a road paved for two, all by himself.

Apart from in my world because FUCK CANON Ajax is alive and well and not dead!!!! :))))

May I politely request some headcanons of Kejax as parents?

(Specifically for a newborn baby girl)

Keegan is the worst worry-wart ever. They have a nursery but it took like one day of baby girl being home before Ajax realized she was never gonna sleep in there. Or at least not until she was a good while older. (Keegan moved the crib into their bedroom, along with like 80% of the rest of the nursery.)

Keegan fucking adores those baby sling things and as such has baby girl on him near 24 hours a day. Baby girl seems to enjoy it at least.

Ajax would also worry his ass off but he knows it's better for him to be more chill and logical. Keegan losing his marbles a bit is healthy for him, but if they both did it'd be a mess. So: Ajax = Chill.

Ajax has like every single cry of hers memorized and can figure out what she needs within micro seconds. She goes "Wuh!" and he's like "Ah, hungry baby." Keegan is in awe and convinced his husband is magical.

Most spoiled baby ever. Hesh and Logan (Uncles) are in absolute awe at the amount of shit baby girl can't even use yet but has anyways. (Half of it is their fault.)

Baby girl adores Riley. Riley adores baby girl. He's not resource guarding, he knows better, but he does insists on having an eye on her 24/7 when he's over. Riley and Keegan are similar in that regard. (They're both equally offended by that joke.)

Always dressed up in the cutest little outfits. Ajax would tell Keegan to quit treating her like a doll if he weren't the one in the store going "Hm. Baby girl would look cute in this. In the cart you go!" for 70% of her wardrobe.

Matching family fits. (All three of them matching outfits.)

They have a scrapbook dedicated to baby girl and it's meant to be for her growing up but Keegan and Ajax have filled like half of it already because they're like their daughters personal paparazzi and keep snapping pics of her "Whenever she does something cute." which is all the time because they're suckers for her.

Safest baby in the world. Literally has an entire special ops squad ready to throw down on her behalf at a moments notice. They had a false alarm once and Merrick was already halfway across the country coming their way by the time they figured it out.

OT3 headcanons for Keegan/Logan/Ajax.

Each of them has their own personal space in the house. Not that the other two aren't ever allowed in, they like hanging out, it's just that they don't have to share it if they don't feel like it. Ajax has an office which he mainly writes/works in, though he also has his own collection of books. Keegan has a kitted out shed in the backyard, which is basically also an office. But he doesn't have a desk, he has one of them bowl chairs and lots of books. Nerd. Logan has his own bedroom. It's where he keeps most of his stuff, and he even sleeps in there most nights, but of course he's always welcome in the bigger bedroom. (He has his own rack in the closet where he keeps his formal clothes/uniforms.)

While Logan has his own room, and (again) sleeps in there most nights, he will always nap in the bigger bedroom. Like without exception lmao. Funny part is that Ajax and Keegan didn't know for a good week or so when they were first settling in and the way they found out is Keegan dumped some clean laundry on the bed (to fold it) and woke Logan up. All he saw was his head pop up from the sheets looking disgruntled and confused, and it knocked Keegan on his ass laughing.

When Logan does sleep in the big bed, pretty much every time, he'll end up squished between Keegan and Alex like he's a teddy bear. Which they somehow manage to do each time, despite Logan's tendency to starfish his limbs everywhere. (Logan loves it.)

Always gotta do movie nights, not every night is a true event, but at least once a week they pull the stops out. Pop corn and candy and drinks and other snacks, plus a good movie. They do vote on movies, but Logan and Keegan both love sci fi, so a lot of the times poor Ajax is outnumbered. (But don't worry, they do try to stick to stuff he can enjoy too.)

House is by a lake which is good because Cali Boy Logan NEEDS to be able to yeet himself into water at least three times a week or he'll shrivel up and die. He likes to wake up early, go for a swim, then take his nap in the big bed. (Which is also why it took Keegan and Ajax a minute to realize he was napping there everyday: If they nap, Keegan+Ajax nap around noon, and Logan does it a good few hours before then.)

Ajax can and will beg his way out of chores he doesn't like to do. Like cleaning the fridge or mopping. Logan and Keegan are aware of his trickery. They fall for it every time anyways. (Trick in question: "Hey if you do [insert chore] I'll give you so many smooches." "Fuck yes.")

So this random idea just popped into my head;

○ The ghosts are at a rodeo

○ Ajax is wearing a cowboy hat

○ Keegan, raised in the south, knows the cowboy hat rule

○ Keegan has been flirting with Ajax (the densest thing on dry land) for a little over a year now

○ Keegan steals Ajax’s hat and plops it on his own head

○ Ajax just stares at Keegan until one of the other ghosts lean over and explain the cowboy hat rule

○ "Oh!" Gasps Ajax

○ Ajax then proceeded to throw Keegan over his shoulder and find somewhere secluded

Don't make me think about it.

Here's a few ideas anyways tho, since you asked so hopefully: -Keegan holding onto Ajax's body long after they've left the stadium and only letting him go so he can help Elias exfil Logan+Hesh. -Keegan insisting that he be the one to do Ajax's funeral prep and leaving his own sidearm with Ajax while keeping Alex's for himself. (I'd image the part of the funeral prep he insists on doing alone is the wrapping.) -Obviously Keegan's gonna spend a lot of sleepless nights trying (And failing) to get used to not having Ajax with him -He has nightmares of the stadium. And the worst part about those is that the details and events don't need to be exaggerated or altered in any way to terrorize him. -Survivors guilt is going to eat him alive and he's always going to be upset that it wasn't him (Or even someone else when he's in a particularly shit mood) rather than Ajax -After the Luxor he's irrationally angry with himself because he tried so hard to get there on time, trying to make up for not being there on time to save Ajax, but still failed because Elias was killed and everyone else was injured in some way -After the beach, he's going to feel the same way again, reliving the trauma of showing up too late to help the people he cares about (This time it being Hesh and Logan. Which hurts doubly if you also happen to ship Walrus or Kesha.)

If Keegan were to adopt one of Rileys puppies, I think he would name it something like Banshee or Phantom to match Ghostface

Or hear me out; He'd continue the trend of naming them after slashers. Ghostface from Scream. Jigsaw from Saw. Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. Bubba/Leatherface from Texas chainsaw massacre. And it wouldn't be just dogs either, I can see Keegan owning different pets, like a cat, different kinds of reptiles, maybe a few small mammals like rats. And Ajax owns them too, obviously, but he adores Keegan so he always gets to name them. (Ajax also sucks at coming up with names.)

On the theme of Keejax:

After Ajax dies, he gets to sick around as an actual ghost. No-one can see him, but he observes everything and especially Keegan, he's gotta keep an eye on his love. Make sure he's okay after losing him, only then to have to watch Keegan fall in love with Logan

I think Ajax would have incredibly mixed emotions about it. Like Keegan's moving on, and it sucks cus he really loves him still. But also it's good that Keegan is moving on because it's not healthy to be stuck on a dead guy, even if the said dead ex is haunting the shit out of him. (Is he an ex if he died rather than broke up?) Bittersweet all around.

And speaking of Literal Ghost aus, I do have a WIP of one. In it, Logan can see ghosts, so putting that plot mechanic onto this scenario, makes everything incredibly funny. Logan very aware this cute+hot guy he's romancing is being haunted by his dead boyfriend who Keegan remains in love with (at the same time that said dead boyfriend is in love with him still) but like he can't help. You can't just tell people you see spirits and shit, and you probably wouldn't go telling any ghosts about it either. So it's like... a very horrible love triangle wheeze.

Do you think he would retire to help take care of them? Or just so he can watch them grow up?

Do you think he would let them climb all over him just to hear them laugh?

Do you think he would continue to work out so he'd always be strong enough to lift them over his shoulders so that they would always have the best seat in the house at fire work shows?

Do you think that the kids always fight over who gets picked up because if anyone could hang the stars in the sky, it would be Grandpa?

(If he still does fall, do you think Alex would tell him, "You're a grandfather," in an attempt to get him to stop, or even just distract him. Do you think Rorke would stop? Would he ask questions, would Alex answer them? Do you think that the knowledge that his baby (Keegan) has babies of his own would fix his broken mind, pull him together again, and bring him home?)

(When Alex laid dying in his husband's arms and said, "I told him, I told him," do you think Keegan understood he was talking about the kids? Do you think Keegan was able to tell the kids himself that daddy is not coming home and grandpa is the reason why, or did he have to ask one of the other guys?)

Headcanon that Ajax is very possessive/protective over Keegan. He won't stop Keegan from leaving the house if he's wearing a certain outfit, but he will keep a hand on Keegans' waist when their out together and will glare with murderous intent at any conventionally attractive strangers try to talk to Keegan.

He might also be the reason why some of the service members that Keegan dislikes have gone missing in the last couple of years. (Look, it's not his fault they can't keep their hands to themselves)

Keegan would be offended, of he wasn't just as bad.

(Then you add Logan to the mix and the amount of protective fuled "incidents" skyrocket.)

Correction, Ajax WILL stop Keegan from leaving the house in an outfit. But it's one SPECIFIC outfit. The hotdog outfit. (Hotdog costume.)

Alex posessiveeeeeee, heheheheh. Cuddling up on Keegan and making very clear that he's taken. Keegan doesn't mind. He thinks it's nice... he does not object to cuddles.

Just HAPPENED to go missing when they got caught one-on-one with Ajax.... Not suspicious at all.... nope. And then the same with Keegan? How interesting. Hmmmm.
